I think even if Luke's character in the drama was dialed down, i still think flora's responses were justifiable because he is still mean and insults her the first time, when flora doesn't do things to his liking, even if he has some conversation later on (which doesn't happen always and the convo doesn't address everything). Flora has already tasted his mean/worst side and got hurt.

Yes! Exactly!! This old mentality of his pissed me off!! After all that happened, he was kinda blaming her for leaving him in front of her parents, like it's only her fault. They made it the scene funny and that's the problem. This is what happens in real life too. Such problematic behavior dives into everyday life, which majority don't even notice.

And i can totally understand how draining it is to hear other opinions here. I feel majority of the audience are very young and doesn't understand the dynamics of toxic behaviors and how it affects the people around them. So makes sense why they are so triggered. But still it is very draining to hear them. Glad you enjoyed hearing my thoughts!

Ikr!! He didn't even have to reveal the girlfriend part. He could've just drew the boundary as a boss, for the sake of his female employee's safety, as he can't let her ex take care of her as she was drunk in the companies' party, so it is his responsibility to take care of her and then let her explain her ex the next morning if her ex complains or questions about it. But No, he was watching it like performance as if she wanted this to happen. The scene is funny and annoying at the same time!

What i feared came true! i can't believe they really rushed everything!! 2eps of breakup and 2 eps of reconciliation, when compared to showing their messy relationship till 20eps is wild especially when everyone is looking forward to the reconciliation so much. they should really have added atleast 2eps😢 I feel a dissatisfied with how they wrapped things so fast.

Also, can someone explain what does luke mean when he says "If it weren't because i wanted to prove, i wanted to be with you forever, i'd have made you pay for it today" in ep 24, before their passionate scene? did it end translated wrong or Was it supposed to be a dialogue with desire and passionate? because the way he said it felt like he was angry rather than him restraining his desires. I'm so confused!?

Also, the next morning after they slept together in ep 24, while SZT is making excuses to send her dad out, then LN greets her dad despite SZT not wanting her parents to discover them in that way. Like who the hell lets their parents/in-laws deliberately discover that they slept together!!?? And then he says "i will take responsibility and will marry her!?" i know that they already had wedding plans before their breakup but they just had reconciled after 3yrs!!! That too without any conversation. Atleast have some proper conversation with her and ask for her consent before making it official to her parents, LUKE!! And then he goes, "I'm just waiting for tao's answer" as if he asked her and she didn't give an answer!!! Like wtf man!! I understand SZT probably is used to it or she wants to marry him, that's why she was okay or maybe happy with it. but this doesn't change the fact that it was a huge boundary-crossing moment! What does he want to convey her parents, coming in front of her dad, while looking like that? That they already slept together, so better hurry up and give their daughter to him? I don't know how others feel but this is manipulative to me. He made her look bad in front of her parents. Her parents were supportive and open-minded so it worked well but what if they were not?

I'm happy with all their other scenes, their patch up and relationship is still a little messy but they are opening up and progressing more and more, which feels realistic after their initial messy relationship. But this scene with her parents, made my blood pressure rise!! It was a huge no!

I wish there were more scenes after their reunion, to feel satisfied, after all those were the moments we were most waiting for.

I too stand by this!! Luke started most of the problems in their relationship. Whenever he didn't agree with any of her decision, he overthinks, assumes and criticizes her harshly. And yes, he does reflect on it and comes back to have conversation later on (which he didn't even do in the beginning of their relationship) but the damage is already done by then. Flora already felt the emotions and pain of not being understood, not being respected enough and not being properly heard by luke's first reaction to a problem. Always. It already cut deep enough and then he puts bandage later on for a deep wound, which on surface heals but does nothing much the deep inside, which has already went too deep. The bandage is not enough, so he needs to put in more efforts to heal the wound since he was the one who cut it in the first place. When someone already knows, you will get cut, will they still willingly approach the person who causes it, or will you approach the person who you know will listen to you, support you and give you their views without cutting you? Flora did the same thing, she knows she can't stop being cut, so she wants to reduce the damage by bracing herself for the impact, in the last because it's tiring and painful to go for it first.

Flora chose to be with Luke despite knowing this, and yes, she is responsible for her choice but we need to remember that Luke always convinces her with different methods everytime she tries to distance or breakup with him, which gives her hope that he will treat her better, which he does, but not enough. So, Luke is mostly responsible for most of the Flora's shortcomings in their relationship except for the matchmaking event and the situation with her ex, which she is mostly responsible for.

So true!!! We can learn a lot from this drama!

This is what i've been thinking about from the start!! He always acted like "i know what is best for you since i've more experience than you, i know how to handle things so you will do great if you do things the way i advice, or else the way you are handling things will bring ruin to you easily." This is the message he gives her everytime she decides to do something he doesn't want her to do. This is not protection, this is control disguised as protection. If he really wants to protect her, he should ask her, what does she want? how does she want to handle things? and then advice/suggest her what else is the best method to handle things or maybe if he doesn't think that is good idea, he can have a proper discussion with her and tell her consequences of her decision in a proper way, not the sarcastic way. If she still wants to go ahead with her decision then respect that even if it is bad one and support her. Just like Lumi does!! Look at how lumi does this every single time! But no, he chooses the sarcastic way everytime. Even when he knew flora has gone through sexual harassment, the very first thing he asks her why she didn't tell him? He shifted the whole worst experience of hers and made it about himself, rather than consoling, comforting and supporting her through this hard time. Though, after watching what Lumi does for flora and thinking about it, he did realize his mistake and went to apologize, comfort her and have a proper conversation with her. But still, the first words luke said to her after going through it, will forever be in heart, the emotions that she went through in that moment will forever be in her heart. And this is why she doesn't open much to him. Unless he changes his reactions, his words and his actions whenever an incident happens, she can never fully open or confide in him.

Agree! His posture during those scenes were really incredible. He was convincing in his role as a general!

Absolutely true! Even if it's not YL's and her mother's fault but her mother still failed to keep her promise that resulted in not just MXY's brother's execution but also around 30,000 loyal soldiers' execution, which ye li's mother still felt guilty about, and ye li is carrying her mother's guilt to some extent. Also, knowing that MXY might feel betrayed when he comes to know the truth (which i don't think he will but he might feel betrayed that she hasn't trusted him enough to tell the truth all this time and all the things she did is because of the debt), so she is hesitant to get even closer to him and has been guarding some of her feelings so as to get more hurt. This might be just a possibility but it could also be her being all alone for many years so she might be just used to it or might be afraid to let herself fully open and get attached so she is guarding her feelings so as to get hurt subconsciously (because of her painful past, her brain created a defensive mechanism) or she simply doesn't know it yet. it could be anything since we fully don't her character yet

I have some different theories on this. I think Ye li does love MXY but....

1. she either doesn't know it yet and thinks she just likes him, or
2. she is more preoccupied on getting the edict and revenge for him and her that she can't focus on love yet, or
3. she can't be more open about her feelings and express her love, until she gets the edict and clears his family's name and come fully clean about the truth of how his brother handed the edict to her mother and how it was forcefully taken from her mother, resulting in implication and execution of ML's brother and the Prince Ding's household, and thus creating an invisible wall between them which only she sees and she can't take a step forward towards him until this wall is broken. Remember, the ML still thinks the person who his brother entrusted the edict with, betrayed him. So, this needs to be cleared for Ye li to finally let go of this burden and get closer to MXY.

Wth would they delete such an important scene!!? I always feel that they have not shown much of MY's suffering which made us not to connect much to her. This was exactly my thought!! It didn't take the usual sacrifice route. Ming yi saying let's try to save the world together even if we have only a silver of hope touched my heart more than the alone sacrifice thing would have! I was so happy that they could live together rather than dying alone or dying together!!!
