Imma be honest, the kiss ruined it for me. It felt like they put romance into this for actually no reason. I do get it like after her father and the betrayal of Mu-Jin, she doesn't have anyone and so having being with Pildo and him and saying "He would always be there for her to lean on" must have felt like everything to her hence the kiss and stuff. But honestly, it felt unnecessary. I was okay with the way the relationship was before, and as much as I did see it coming, I was hoping they would't explore it fully cause it would feel really random in this drama. It would have been lovely for them to just stay the way they are . I did love them together but honestly, it felt irritating that they decided to put the romance at the end, especially since there wasn't really any showing of feelings that they had for each other prior to the end. And then he dies so it all felt very ??? to me. Maybe that was the whole point, to make his death feel sadder but yeah. Anyway I do love the drama. Thought it was brilliantly executed. The ending just wasn't it for me. I want more!
If there is one thing I wat to discuss about this drama is why the friends felt as if Arisu was the one that was sort of "valuable and the one that deserved to live"? Like I know that's the point of the drama and all and I don't hate Arisu's character at all but like honestly. Chota was clever. He could have easily become something, he already was, he just had to learn to be more responsible and could have been something big in his company and made something for himself. And Karube, as much as he didn't have a lot going for himself he had someone he loved. They both had a sort of reason to live you know? But Arisu literally sits and plays games the whole day. I do know he has all this family trauma that his been through that makes him the way he is but like still, he doesn't really have anything going for him. So why did his friends feel he was better than them in that regard?
But anyone I do like it so far, just hope the relationship dynamic doesn't stay the way it is now.
