It’s a sad and open ending. Sad cuz many perished, ml sacrificed him too. It’s an open ending cuz a shred of his soul is left and it’s hinted he can come back from cultivating. It doesn’t show that tho so we can only hope.

Watch it! It’s a beautiful drama. No kiss but every little interaction between main couple is heart fluttering, heart wrenching. Their gazes, their talks, it all screams tension and explosive chemistry.

He was so serious about having her as his partner to hunt demons so I thought he was up to no good. I was legit scared for her when he escaped and took off to her with XiaoZhuo running after him. Then boom…flowers, flashbacks and then chemistry explosion with cuteness overload. I knew then they were my new it couple. And realized later on how excited ZhuYan must’ve been to see her again after 8 long years; how sweet and bold of him when he left her there, at the place of the people that he killed once lived at, knowing full well he had to go there for her. But he knew it was the safest place to make her stay at.

The two deserved so much more scenes together. They were a perfect balance for each other. ❤️

I think the directors all had dinner together and decided no kiss scenes for their dramas this year.

He just wanted one thing, her, and they’re like NO. Dîe—😭 lol I’m obsessed and want that kiss to happen—Super proud of myself too. 😤

After reading this again…Wonder if this is also why WenXiao is badly written. Heck, even an alternate name for the drama is Bai Ze Ling. And the baize goddess is barely shown with any good scenes and the token is barely used to help in battles. I always thought it was weird that XiaoZhuo got all the cool fighting scenes when ZhuYan is the main main, so it was cuz TJR is in the same agency as the director. Still love TJR and XiaoZhuo.
