Why is the makeup so much? Its distracting (update:in the 1st 2 eps, in 3rd its fine actually, but then back to the bad makeup again from next episode onwards). The show itself seems interesting so far... edit - her makeup is distracting.

Its not the slow burn, thats fine, its 36 episodes, we have time... I think its more the story and dialogues, i like both the leads and i wish they were given more to work with...
The second episode! oh my god!!! I've rewatched parts of it twice already.... the dialogues, the expressions, the micro-expressions, the surprise, flirt, fear and tears, and the truths....wow! i wish i had been on the set to see this magic being made... ALL the actors are so good, they elicit such strong reactions from me as a viewer! The FL is FIRE! she does traumatized-revenge-kiss-comical-hot... so well done! ML's microexpressions!! wow! Has us wondering what more is going on! also, stupid me, starting this today, with now 5 days to wait for episode 3! :( Episode 2 is a solid 10 stars for me :) now hoping for a happy ending, please. I should add - the 1st episode does set up a lot of the character stories - especially the mean folks.
