This drama is very very good and high level … it gets you hooked right from episode 1 and it keeps getting better…
Yeah, I think I will. Thank you!

I think you could try Prisoner of Beauty (same director), or Pursuit of Jade (it also has this high-budget, high-level…
I've watched both of those and loved them, so maybe I'll give this one a shot if it's similar.

I'm thinking about starting this drama because it seems interesting. Do you guys recommend? Can you maybe tell me another drama that is similar to this? I dropped Melody of Golden Age after like 6 episodes because I didn't like it, so I'm scared the same will happen here.

Person Bai Jing Ting
He's already exploring other types of genres. He's filming a period drama now. Just because a modern romance drama…
He has been doing different genres for a long time now anyways, with ping pong life, mobius, and reset. However, rom-coms happen to the only genre I can watch with very few exceptions, which is why I said I hope he does more rom-coms. I support him as an actor to explore the field and not be type-cast, but I also hope that he does another romance drama as he does very well in those.

I'm halfway through episode 4, and EVERYONE except Shen Fu Xuan and the FL is pissing me off. Especially the ML. Everyone is excluding her because she's smart, and multiple people like Tang Ting Ting and Jin Bai Hui are very prejudiced against her when all she's done is be neutral, if not even kind, to them. As someone who also has trouble making friends, this is really infuriating to me because everyone is being rude for no reason. ML is also very unfavourable right now as he's constantly embarrassed of her and never sticks up for her. He says that they're "best friends" but never seems to be there for her and is only seeing her as an academic rival. This is the most SML syndrome I have ever experienced in a show before, and right now I don't see it ever getting better. I really hope things turn around for FL, or I'm dropping this show, as it seems like nothing but rage bait until now.

Yes, she finds out everything near the end.
It's definitely VERY near the end. We only find out the whole backstory around ep 30-31. But they get together around 26, I would say. In my opinion, it's worth completing if you've already watched a lot of it. But if you still find it not worth it, dropping it might be the best option for you.

The romance is not the main focus I think in this drama but on life, youth, sports, mystery and psychological…
I mean i totally get that and did enjoy all the other scenes, its just that as a fan of both YSX and CJK i was hoping we'd get to see more romance between them since they both do it so well.

I read somewhere that there was a variety show filmed for this drama, but I doubt it due to them donating all the promo budget to relief efforts for that disaster that happened. Does anybody know if there really is a variety show or if it was just a rumour?

Although this drama has many deep plots and themes, it was always good for a daily pick-me-up. I loved watching the scenes with the players and Victor Ma, as they never failed to crack me up. The only thing I would have changed about this show is to have more scenes with the leads after they actually got together, because the second they were in a relationship, they had barely any romantic scenes together. Other than that, 10/10, loved the drama.

I just don't understand how could they release him, they had solid evidence against him that he caused the death…
Because Jason's mother didn't want to get an autopsy done before they cremated his body, the case of his death was closed as a suicide. Hence, they were never looking for a murderer, and this guy can't be charged for it, even if there's evidence. He was only held for a little while on charges of intentional assault on Wang Fa during that fight at his house when he pulled out a knife on him, which is why he was released.

When they were eating chicken together, Sim Yu Geon said something along the lines of "it's his mom's fault…
I think that for one, she assumes that he knows about it because he didn't contact her, but in reality it was his mom making him unable to get in touch w her. And also, we should consider the fact that he basically stole her dream. And by that I mean, she was a very enthusiastic and bright kid who had passion and drive to reach a dream. She meets a guy and basically shares her dream with him, bringing him out of the cage that his parents built around him and giving him ambition to work towards a better future, and they fall in love. However, that same guy becomes the reason she doesn't achieve her dream and is instead stuck in the slums of a 9-5, while he is living his dream life (the dream she gave to him) and seems very happy, as if everything that happened with her never existed. If I was her, I would be resentful as well. I really need the ML to grovel a bit or at least realize what she's been through before she forgives him or the romance arc starts. Otherwise, the FL's life would be too tragic.

Heyy can you pls elaborate on what was tu li’s relationship with Chen yi in the novel ? And also how does it…
No, he's described as "vulgar" with that exact word. He swears a lot, speaks in an impolite way, talks about sex a lot, and more, which is why I used that term. But maybe there are differences in the books we're reading? Translation can vary, and the end product on two different sites might be basically 2 different books.

Title Love for You Spoiler
Heyy can you pls elaborate on what was tu li’s relationship with Chen yi in the novel ? And also how does it…
The VERY simplified version of it is that Tu Li is essentially boy-crazy over Chen Yi. They're fuck buddies for about 2 years, and since she is the woman who's managed to stay with him longest, she gets delusional and wants more with Chen Yi. Chen Yi rejects her, but she keeps persisting. When Miao Jing first comes back, she's nice in the hopes of winning over her "future sister-in-law". But then she realizes that they're not blood-related and that CY has feelings for her, and does some more crazy shit, eventually getting dumped by Chen Yi.

As for how Chen Yi behaves, in the novel he is just a very vulgar, rude person. He smokes and drinks a lot, sleeps around with multiple women during their separation, and is really crude to Miao Jing when she first returns after 6 years. He even forcefully kisses her multiple times throughout the novel before they're officially together, not stopping even when she slaps him. This is why I'm glad they changed his character because otherwise I don't think I'd be able to watch the drama.

I really like how they changed Tu Li's character and her dynamic with Chen Yi compared to the original novel. Makes both characters a lot more enjoyable. I'm rooting for Tu Li to have a successful business and find her true love now, too!

So happy that Hwang In Yeop is back on my screen as a ML again. He's never escaping the school uniform curse, but at least this time he's broken the tragic 2ML curse! I really liked the first episode and hope the rest of the drama doesn't disappoint.

Title Dream to You
The synopsis:"As a high schooler, Yoo-Jae dreamed of becoming a filmmaker, pushing aside other obligations…
When they were eating chicken together, Sim Yu Geon said something along the lines of "it's his mom's fault you're like this..." so I'm assuming it was a "you're not good enough for my son" situation where his mom did something to ruin her future as a filmmaker behind his back after they went abroad and he doesn't know about it, but it's the reason that she resents him. If this ends up being the plot, I wouldn't be surprised at all.
