The romance is not the main focus I think in this drama but on life, youth, sports, mystery and psychological…
I mean i totally get that and did enjoy all the other scenes, its just that as a fan of both YSX and CJK i was hoping we'd get to see more romance between them since they both do it so well.

I read somewhere that there was a variety show filmed for this drama, but I doubt it due to them donating all the promo budget to relief efforts for that disaster that happened. Does anybody know if there really is a variety show or if it was just a rumour?

Although this drama has many deep plots and themes, it was always good for a daily pick-me-up. I loved watching the scenes with the players and Victor Ma, as they never failed to crack me up. The only thing I would have changed about this show is to have more scenes with the leads after they actually got together, because the second they were in a relationship, they had barely any romantic scenes together. Other than that, 10/10, loved the drama.

I just don't understand how could they release him, they had solid evidence against him that he caused the death…
Because Jason's mother didn't want to get an autopsy done before they cremated his body, the case of his death was closed as a suicide. Hence, they were never looking for a murderer, and this guy can't be charged for it, even if there's evidence. He was only held for a little while on charges of intentional assault on Wang Fa during that fight at his house when he pulled out a knife on him, which is why he was released.

Title Dream to You Spoiler
When they were eating chicken together, Sim Yu Geon said something along the lines of "it's his mom's fault…
I think that for one, she assumes that he knows about it because he didn't contact her, but in reality it was his mom making him unable to get in touch w her. And also, we should consider the fact that he basically stole her dream. And by that I mean, she was a very enthusiastic and bright kid who had passion and drive to reach a dream. She meets a guy and basically shares her dream with him, bringing him out of the cage that his parents built around him and giving him ambition to work towards a better future, and they fall in love. However, that same guy becomes the reason she doesn't achieve her dream and is instead stuck in the slums of a 9-5, while he is living his dream life (the dream she gave to him) and seems very happy, as if everything that happened with her never existed. If I was her, I would be resentful as well. I really need the ML to grovel a bit or at least realize what she's been through before she forgives him or the romance arc starts. Otherwise, the FL's life would be too tragic.

Title Love for You Spoiler
Heyy can you pls elaborate on what was tu li’s relationship with Chen yi in the novel ? And also how does it…
No, he's described as "vulgar" with that exact word. He swears a lot, speaks in an impolite way, talks about sex a lot, and more, which is why I used that term. But maybe there are differences in the books we're reading? Translation can vary, and the end product on two different sites might be basically 2 different books.

Title Love for You Spoiler
Heyy can you pls elaborate on what was tu li’s relationship with Chen yi in the novel ? And also how does it…
The VERY simplified version of it is that Tu Li is essentially boy-crazy over Chen Yi. They're fuck buddies for about 2 years, and since she is the woman who's managed to stay with him longest, she gets delusional and wants more with Chen Yi. Chen Yi rejects her, but she keeps persisting. When Miao Jing first comes back, she's nice in the hopes of winning over her "future sister-in-law". But then she realizes that they're not blood-related and that CY has feelings for her, and does some more crazy shit, eventually getting dumped by Chen Yi.

As for how Chen Yi behaves, in the novel he is just a very vulgar, rude person. He smokes and drinks a lot, sleeps around with multiple women during their separation, and is really crude to Miao Jing when she first returns after 6 years. He even forcefully kisses her multiple times throughout the novel before they're officially together, not stopping even when she slaps him. This is why I'm glad they changed his character because otherwise I don't think I'd be able to watch the drama.

I really like how they changed Tu Li's character and her dynamic with Chen Yi compared to the original novel. Makes both characters a lot more enjoyable. I'm rooting for Tu Li to have a successful business and find her true love now, too!

So happy that Hwang In Yeop is back on my screen as a ML again. He's never escaping the school uniform curse, but at least this time he's broken the tragic 2ML curse! I really liked the first episode and hope the rest of the drama doesn't disappoint.

Title Dream to You
The synopsis:"As a high schooler, Yoo-Jae dreamed of becoming a filmmaker, pushing aside other obligations…
When they were eating chicken together, Sim Yu Geon said something along the lines of "it's his mom's fault you're like this..." so I'm assuming it was a "you're not good enough for my son" situation where his mom did something to ruin her future as a filmmaker behind his back after they went abroad and he doesn't know about it, but it's the reason that she resents him. If this ends up being the plot, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

I let the episodes stack up for a bit over the weekend. Binged the last 5 eps today and what do you MEAN Wen Jie is dead?!?!?! 😭 Even though I predicted this and even commented that this was going to happen around like ep 8, I can't bear the news. Poor officer Zhou, oh my god. We barely even saw her character, but I miss her so much. I want their little family of 4 back 😭😭😭

Title Road to Success Spoiler
yeah FL having depression hence she separate herself with the world so she will seem lack of involvement
she dropped out halfway through her PhD program due to her past trauma that we are yet to know about. In the beginning of the first episode, we see her almost ending her life, which was due to her depression that is also caused by said trauma. She came to teach at the school due to her grandpa's last wish and also to get away from her former life and try to just live peacefully. But as she interacts with her students, we see her getting back her spark, and slowly overcoming her depression. As for what the trauma is and fully resolving it, that's going to be near the end of the show.

I don't know much about soccer but I find it really weird that there are only 11 players on the team. What happen…
I think that it's purely for the sake of not having the funds to actually hire more than 11 people to be in frame all the time, when we really only see like 5 of the students having truly important roles in the drama. I was wondering this too in the first 3 eps, but if you want to watch rom-com cdramas in peace, turning your brain off and disregarding real-world logic is the best solution lol.

From what I read from other poster, it was supposed to be 36 episodes, so yeah the editing isn’t up to par and…
Ohhh. Yeah that makes sense then. I thought it was supposed to be 32 originally, which is what let to my confusion about the few choppy edits between scenes here and there.

It doesn't feel like that at all.
I don't mean the whole show in general, but rather that I'm noticing abrupt switches in just a few scenarios. So far I've noticed it around 3-4 times. But it's honestly more abnormal when the majority of the scenes are well edited and directed, which is why I was just wondering about those specific bad cuts.

I am glad they are styling her so well. I loved her in Lighter & Princess but she was always dressed in baggy…
I'm glad they used that funding to the maximum level. There's really no part of this drama which I find lacking so far.

Is it just me, or do some parts of the show seem overly choppy? As in, the transitions between some scenes are so bad that it just switches to the next scene in a way that seems kinda abrupt. Were any episodes cut from this to make the post-production so choppy? Because the only other instance that I recall with scenes being cut like this is with SAL, and for that, about 8 episodes were cut post-filming, which made the end result really choppy between scenes and the story quite rushed, which is exactly what I'm feeling here, but on a milder scale.
