if you are dropping something after one episode do everyone a favor. Don't rate or review it because you add nothing to the discussion. Especially here because yes the first episode is kind of confusing because they jump back and forth in time so you spend half the episode trying to figure out when in the time line you are. And yes they continue to do it throughout the show but you get used to it. But no matter what I don't take reviews from people that watched one episode seriously.
I understand but my point is your explanation makes no sense and contradicts itself, mainly because you didn't watch it. You stated the mystery was solved in the second episode but it wasn't because the mystery wasn't who he was but what actually happened 7 years ago why he knows so much about her. We didn't get the full story until episode 12. So what you considered resolving the mystery was just the first puzzle piece to the mystery. And again how can you say leans heavily into tropes when you didn't watch half the show so you don't know what we're the actual tropes. Yeah there were tropes but everything is a trope, if they had kept "the mystery " going that would of been a trope. When it comes to tropes there are only two things that should matter to a viewer. The first is on a scale from hate to love how you feel about that type of trope. And two is how that trope is presented and told. This show did tropes well. They didn't unnecessarily drag storylines out for the most part and for the most part characters reactions feel justified. When things come to a head for the MC each of their reactions feel justified. To me it feels that like you actually stopped watching it after the second episode reveal and was so focused on that, that you didn't pay attention that the next 4 episodes laid the ground work for are 4 couples and grandma's situation before the back half of the show.
why do people write reviews like this while the story is going on. Since it's obvious nothing was resolved in the second episode but just given the initial context of the story.
yes. ignoring the manhwa this drama is mid 5 through 7 with 7 being generous. they basically took the setup of the manhwa decided to go away from the school and make it an office romance while people complained about it. this is the least reprehensible change they made. The only problem with making it an office romance they also used the office romance trope checklist when writing the story. CEO with a traum. Check. Trauma manifests physically. Check, he can't hold hands, which we just saw in Romantic Anonymous. Secondary romance with person connected to ML and person connected to FL. Check, and this one reminded me of the one in My Demon. Someone connected to the company wanting to take it from the CEO. Check. I immediately think The Beauty Inside.
I understand what you said about the SIL but they could of done better if they wanted to create a villain. They could of brought in the ML's stalker from the manhwa and since the niece was older could of been one of her friends and the old college classmate of the FL who wanted revenge for humiliating him. They could of had 2 villains who could of worked together. Instead of the SIL storyline which just caused trouble but in the end led to no real repercussions.
