I want to like this series, I really do :)
I'm not sure if I just watched this at the right time and in the right mood, but I actually enjoyed episode 5 quite a lot even though it didn't really move the plot forward much. It felt more like an excuse to show off some of the show sponsors but I still enjoyed the whole laid-back vibe and the constant fluffiness of Nite and Latte wandering around being all comfortable and content with each other. Nite reminiscing about the flowers that grow on his hill was quite enchanting.
The subtitles proved to be a bit of a letdown - it was almost like I was back watching 'So Much In Love' again with characters speaking but no translation appearing on screen. At one point in the scent shop, Nite put a flower bud (was it edelweiss?) under Latte's nose and said something to him. I would have loved to have known what it was because it visibly engaged the two of them into having a 'moment' together.
Now that Nite does appear in photographs I'm hoping against hope that it's because he's gradually turning into a real boy after all, but I know it's more likely that it's just a continuity error the writers forgot about, just like they forgot about Nite saying he doesn't eat food in episode 1.
I have to say I'm not keen on where Coach Bhu and Que's story appears to be heading. Their relationship is already starting to get complicated with Que's reluctance, to be honest with Nam and Bhu looking very much like he's going to try and force the situation. Latte's prime target for being dragged into the middle of that mess and I can see him being used as a jealousy foil. I hope not as he clearly wears his heart on his sleeve and is making it obvious that he's looking for a way to keep Nite with him (forever).
I'll admit the show must be doing something right because they've got me at the stage where I really, really want those boys to be together. I mean c'mon, they're just far too cute not to be!
