This is one of the best drama. When I first started watching it, I didn’t get the plot and dropped it and rewatched few months later. I didn’t get the fox and god and demon and bird stuff and dropped it again. A year later I rewatched and noticed new and different perspectives to the episodes I had watched before . The slight tilt of head and facial expressions of Donghua says a lot to the story. There are depth of details in his eyes and words he uttered. I said to myself, why have I dropped this gem before and lucky I came back to it 3 times. I have so far rewatched it 5 or 6 maybe 7 times already. I also read the books and the aftermath of story from fans. This was my fall back to drama and story . Love to see the highly respected god of universe and earth comes undone hahahaha. Love Donghua and Fengjiu.

I am enjoying the drama and love seeing the CP ‘obsession’ to Ziyuan. The CP is a complicated man, with all different emotions portrayed. I missed Anle interaction to CP. The writers should have given Anning the chance of recognising Lenbei when he attempted assassinating the Emperor. That’ll be too good.
