He checked him out first out of hatered then pitied him which became a weird kind of protectiveness (in the novel unlike the show by the time the prosecutor gives cheaha the proposal, his hatered is mostly replaced by guilt and weird obsession and he chooses him because he genuinely has faith in Cheaha's detective skills)

In the book, their way i read Gao's feeling for the therapist were not love but dependency, which happens alot with ptsd victims toward their therapists. and instead of helping, Dr Feng uses it as a tool of manipulation and WORST OF ALL HE IS AWARE OF IT and still does it. If you want to see what Dr Feng is like read the chapter where Gao tells him about his rape trauma. The whole chapter is disgusting and ots 10 times worse than the show because in the show they cut off alot of parts. Bottom line, Dr Feng disgust me to the core 😒

The only things I dont like about this series are:
1. The goddamn annoying characters of the senior and assistant whose only job is to constantly interfere (hate them in the novel too)
2. Spending screen time on the drama they are filming, cause I might be the only one who is repulsed by the therapist and the patient story

too bad, the villains part was what would have made it unique

The drama is okay but not what it was advertised, I see no villains here

This was marketed as double leads so I will get to see 2 stories equally evolve and to be fair at the beginning it gave the vibes that it is going to do that but at the end it became a centric angsty love stories and a bunch of side characters that will tell you what happened behind the scenes

it started good but went downhill. First, there is alot of exposition rather than showing the story. The characters goes on prolonged monologues telling you what happened. The story would have been interesting if they actually invested in Wu Shiguan (the 10th dragon). I wanted to see Ji lin and Wu shiguan build some type of connection 😒. Instead the story of the 10th dragon was thrown behind and instead a prolonged section of ji lin and lu wuyi was given which at the beginning was interesting but git boring after a while. So at first I have it an 8 but now its a 5 at best

one way to describe this series and its the word *boring*.

Miss this era with no heavy white make up 🥲 (though hate the hairstyle of the ML)

I was in love with the oldest sister and her love interest more than ji ling and the younger one but not gonna lie I am loving the dragon diety and the younger sister so muuuch 🫠 they are serving great angst

I dont hate his voice perse, I already watched him in Lighter and Princess and loved everything about that show. Something about the sound in this one bothers me and yeah its not an actor issue more than the ML is not hitting the spot so far, hoping it does!

So far like the FL, don't like the ML, the chemistry is a big meh. The swords look cheap for some reason and I HATE THE DUBBING especially the one on the ML

This is a drama that tells you what the couples are but provides you with 0 foundation for it. The main couple have 0 foundation of love. In no way, they fell so hard they transcended through the pages (especially the ML, his interests changed just like that). The drama spends its time giving quality time to the second ML and FL worthlessly. The FL has no backbone. The ML lead after he woke up was 10 times better than the book ML. Making the ML lead into the book one was hella disappointing. it would ve been better to make the couple actually fall in love in real life.
Overall for a drama I saw so many positive things said about, it respectfully sucked big time

I am not familiar with the source material so I wouldn't know. But that's exactly where i lost complete interest in any of the character, the last 15 epsiodes. The first arc was perfect; not too dragy and establishes their emotions for each other. Then the separation of war was good, things got exciting. Then the last 15 episodes were hella boring.
As for the two brothers not gonna lie the younger one had some charisma (annoying charisma but charisma non the less). the older brother was just pitiful. All his scenes involved him being obsessed with the girl and nothing more. His introduction was amazing but after that he was useless. Honestly, I would prefer if they gave more screen time to prime minister Wei because he was alot cunning and interesting in the political intrigue

At first I rated this drama 7 then 8 then 6.5. It started sweet and enduring, got interesting in the middle, and ended up being hella boring in the last 15 episodes. The political intrigue of the court is underdeveloped and barely shown. The FL is not strong, she is a mary sue that succeed naturally at everything. A butcher naturally wins against people that train all their lives for the battlefield. The romantic chemistry was just okay honestly.

I don't know what is it with Chinese drama but I end up dropping most of them 🥲 and this one is one of those I dropped sadly because I got bored

I was okay with it until the ML changed that made me lose all interest

I heard so much about this drama but honestly it was just okay. I also heard so much about the second couple but in my opinion both couples were meh. Also I wish we get to see new types of male leads, its always overly childish or robot like 🥲
