BEST YOUTH AND FAMILY C-DRAMA OF 2019! (psss: you can have high expectations!)

So I watched both season 1 and 2 back to back and I had a blast even though I had more things to worry about my life! This is certainly one of the most down to earth kind of quality C-drama that is rarely produce in China now due to their restless market.

What I really love about the production is the fact that they kept the story very close to our real daily life and include a lot of current affairs related to our ever changing society and education system. Even the depiction is very real of how Lin Miao Miao engrossing herself into becoming a internet celebrity after realising she could make money like this too right before the moment of their university entrance exams which is super important for the students in China...

Another would be the unknown sacrifices the parents made for their kids and many of times, is not appreciated by the kids thinking the parents forced them too much. But I think that's the reality of gap that exist everywhere... When we are young, we never understood why our parents kept pushing us to do what we don't like/ not good at but once we grew up and start to step out of our safety net to see the real working world, we realised why our parents were so obsessed with sculpting us into what they hope for. Well I do understand there are parents who take things to extremely but most of the parents are indeed doing it because they don't wish for us to be at an disadvantage.

Another point is that I love how the four friends slowly understanding each other's pain and past scars. As I watched, I realised that all four of them actually had pulled each other up when one is suffering and the subtle care they had for each other...

One thing I learnt myself after meeting people of all sorts, true friends will always try to lend a helping hand or give you a push when they saw you may need it even if we do not contact each other in a long time, whereas so called "friends" will only be there in good peaceful times and turn all quiet when you reach out to them. I always hate those "friends" who are like social butterflies and always in huge groups... Not that they are bad people but they can never focus on one person much less a sincere heart to heart talk.

Super HIGHLY recommend to anyone who has not watch! It's really been long time since a drama that doesn't contain any filler scenes and idiotic plots... Though this season does not touch on romance yet but you can expect a lot in season 2!
