Monotonous storyline and acting
I can only say that it’s so plain and predictable. You can almost predict what the next episode will be. It doesn’t stimulate your thoughts or feelings. It may appeal to people who enjoy kissing and erotic scenes. The casts did not prove any challenge in acting except for those intimate scenes if they are not used to doing so. I will definitely not watch again as I already feel that I wasted my time to complete the series just to accompany someone in watching it. Strong storyline and superb casting
I really like the storyline that leads from one surprise to another. The casts are well designed and selected. The actors and actresses Putin their best act. Even though some of them may be new in acting, their efforts are to be recognised. The experienced casts are truly awesome, they do not only carry their weights in acting their roles, they also help the younger generation of actors and actresses to shine. The team work in this production makes them a winner. I also admire the costumes and the makeup, they are very well done, not too elaborate.Was this review helpful to you?
Thrilling Psychological cases and yet realistic with great acting skills
I appreciate Gong Jun’s way of executing the role of Lin Shen. He provided the depth of the character and made me wanted to continue watching the drama. He fully utilised his facial expressions and eyes to communicate his emotions, very fine acting. The cases depicted in the drama are realistic and as someone who knows a little bit of psychology, I can still learn some from this drama. I appreciate the script writer who did a great research work that made the drama believable. My only regret is the female lead. She is a bit stiff and exaggerated sometimes. However, overall, Dream Garden is a worthwhile drama to watch if you like to understand more about human psychology in a Chinese context.Was this review helpful to you?
Outstanding chemistry between male and female leads and also among all actors
I have re-watched this drama multiple times. It’s magical as the storyline is not something that is extraordinary. However, it is very well casted that all the actors and actresses carry their roles so well that made me feel that I am part of them. I am moved by the male and female leads’ emotional scenes. I started to watch more of Gong and Zhou Yutong’s dramas after Begin Again as I enjoy their acting. The actor who acted as Lu Fangning’s dad is a great actor. His aura makes his acting even more fascinating . Though I have watched it so many times, when it comes to those scenes, I will still be moved. I love how the different OST goes with the mood of different scene. The director has skilfully stringed the two parts of the story that makes it more interesting.Was this review helpful to you?

Youthful dream comes true
It is an inspiring movie for young ones. The complexity of relationships and pursuit of dreams always intertwining and difficult for young minds to comprehend. The director cleverly used the intersection of past and present to weave the story together. It is interesting to watch as it takes a while to see the connection and exercise of the mind. The casts are cute and good looking. They are natural in their acting. There is no pretentiousness in their acting. It is refreshing and worth supporting.Was this review helpful to you?
Fighting for Win-Win situation
I am not a fan of fantasy drama. Some fantasy dramas make me nauseous due to the exaggerated effects. I like how Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red-Moon Pact has done so well that the effects are appropriately balanced. It is quite magical at times, reminding viewers they are living in fairyland.I love how the relationship between the male and female leads are woven into the building of the world between humans and the Fox Spirits. Most of the time we are constrained by having a set mindset of “either or”. However, this drama will demonstrate how to achieve a goal that benefits both humans and Fox Spirits.
