Beautifully filmed, elegant diaglogues, great acting from Tang Songyun and LiuXueyi.
I wrote this review after watching episode 14 where Tang Songyun did an emotional storytelling segment and Liu Xueyi's subtle change of feelings towards her was beautifully captured. This drama has captured my attention from the start. It tells the story of the slave servants in those times and the powerlessness over their fates. Herein lies the rise of the FL who fought against this fate to regain her freedom. The FL and ML both did a fantastic job and their chemistry is subtle, yet runs deep. I love also the cinematography and the show's clever display of "monogram designs" in Chinese architecture. This is a refreshing drama, and I hope the story continues to build up to a strong finish.
