Im currently on ep 17 and dou zhaos dad has some of the best character development and growth ive seen in a drama. The way he finally had enough and supported his daughter allowing her to do as she wants and supporting who through out it. When he stood up for her because they wanted to use her dowry to make up for ming switching and marrying tingyu instead it healed me so much to see that. The fact you could tell how much it meant to her made that part so much more meaningful

Yeah i get it, i watched it on youtube, but it had a very complicated love hexagon. Overrall very complicated love story.

I thought it was good it had a nice heartfelt storyline focusing on friendship and youth. It just had a very complicated love story. The ML had liked her for a long time and kept trying to pursue her, but she was still so hung up on his best friend whom she liked and just couldnt forget about. Due to a misunderstanding he left and they didnt see eachother for a long time and didnt start dating till the last episode. Overall it had a very complicated love story and it makes you feel bad for the ML a lot as he truly loved her. But if you like heartfelt and dramas focused on friendship and youth you'll probably like it.
