I imagine his point was that there are actors who go to stage school to be classically trained in acting for years but can’t catch a break even though they are incredibly talented. Then a singer with no training gets a plum role a drama simply because of who they are. Luckily, some end up as good actors but others continue to get good roles despite a desperate lack of talent *cough* Ju Jingyi *cough*.

I think the problem with some dramas is that they use the same actors for many different points in time so it’s impossible to know the timeframes unless they are explicitly mentioned.

I get the fake emperor bit and the twins bit but why was Li in such an exalted position, who was his mother? Why was he important when his father was ‘just a general’

Yes, they forget that what they know and what the FL knows are two different things. Now on 24 and ML tells her he’s going to explain and yet once again fails to do so. She has almost no mitigating information at this point.
