The novel version, if you are curious:Huayong managed to get the emperor promised him that his son will be the…
ohhh thxx. I was thinking of something similar, I understand it better now. Thank you so much for taking your time and writing this, I really appreciate this!!!!
Tbh, I was shocked when he died in ep 32, thoughI predicted it, but I still cried and then was again happy as he reappeared in the end.
They gave us a cute ending with that special, but I would have loved to see how they pretended he was dead, even making a fake funeral and grave! Like only he and his medic knew? Really? He even hid it from his closest aid.
My theory is that the medic saw his body and took it and still saw chances of life, hid him away and tried to heal him these past 4 years, with even taking measures of experimenting on himself. As, as we saw, the medic's hair was almost fully gray and his face showed signs of aging which came from the experiments and Hua Yong only had a few strands of his hair turned grey. Like- he deserves more praise!
I also would loved to see the second couple's twin children and it would have been cool to see them grow up with the mainleads son.
I also reallly loved the second couple, like I was kinda more invested in their story.
I have never seen a woman cross-dressing as a man so accurately in a drama. Like if not for the voice, I would have believed her! She is on par with Seol In Ah who will act in that upcoming series as a man!
Also, I was soo surprised to finding out the actor of Tian Yuan's (ml's closest aide) real age. Like you are telling me that boy is 15?!! He is a great actor but I feel bad for simping him (though mind you, I am 17, so it should be okay). I usually fawn for elder actors like Lee Sang Yi but this is new. But when I look at his MDL picture, he looks completely for his age. I think due to the heavy make-up in the drama he looks elder, which was probably also intentionally. I thougt he was around 22-24.
Summary, this was really a hella good drama and this is not only my first historical Chinese drama but this is also the first C-drama I watched till the end!!! (besides C-bl)
Bcz usually I never get to finish a C-drama as it's too long and get's boring over time, but in this drama, literally EVERY fricking episode is a dopamine shot into my soul! I loved every ep and I even wish for a second season!
If there are similar dramas please reccommend them to me!
I like everything, as long as it's not boring, so please reccommend me if you have similar dramas!
Is Hua Yong going to be the emperor or is he giving the power to Lihe?
The appearance of Hua Yong shall be kept a secret as he will be remembered as the one who died saving his majesty. His son, the current emperor will continue to be the emperor.
Tbh I really loved his acting in Agent Kim Reactivated. Like the way he played the bratty-gen-z-like son was on point. Good job! I hope to see more of him in the future
This series will go to my top ten series you can watch with family and friends.
The entire time it was soo entertaining and I just loved the acting and concept of this series. Like :
- Three secretly strong middle-aged men trying to live a peaceful and quite life but due to a sudden event they have to fight- like how fun does that not sound?!
Kim Min Ji's acting was also incredible considering it is her first drama.
(Spoiler warning)
I also like how Minji rejected that dude in the end, like she the real diva, but it was also cute the way she gave him her name tag so that someone at least remembers her name and past.
I also wish that the 3 kids would become friends and it would be soo funny to see them grow up to be just like their fathers.
The ending scene tells us that this is definitely not the end for them, but if that means that we will get a season 2, I am not sure. I really do hope so!!! I would love to see them continue.
I feel poor for him after reading this. Like the way he has to force himself to eat just to look the same. 8 Kilos is not a joke!
I also never considered the fighting scene with Bale. To read that it was such a struggle to film with one covered eye for the actor who played Bale, I didn't realise!
Well altogether all of them have worked hard and deserve praise and our job is to make season 2 a huge success so that their hard work pays off and that they might consider a season 3.
But I still hope that not only him but generally all actors consider their health first and will not prioritise a series just because it got hyped up and filming a specific series would bring success
I waited for this for an eternity, and it did not disappoint. It is soo cute!
I also was soo happy to see BenJay from "Caged Again"! That was such a cute series as well, I didn't know why so many people hated it, like Jay acted soo well.
I also was happy to see Jeng from "Me and Who" again, he is soo cute as well.
Like even Nunew and Lego!

If you are contemplating of whether you should watch this or not:
This series seems definitely good, but wait until more episodes come out. Because if you end it with ep 4 you will def be left hanging.
