People on this site are not obsessed with the couple's looks, hence the reason this show is not scoring a 9-10…
You're a hater and I f*ck with that. You should have mentioned the name of the show though. Hate right.
Lovely Runner has a beautiful male lead who can act so yes, it's getting tons of support from fans. To call it a "cheap knock-off" is unfair as there are very few stories that haven't been told before. I'm pretty sure if I dig deep enough I'll find something similar to this drama.
You also have no way to prove that fans of Lovely Runner are rating this show low. People hated (they were writing paragraphs) Dahee from ep 1. Once judgmental people deem a female lead unlikeable, immoral, etc, they tank the ratings. I'm sure we'll see the ratings improve over time so long as the show continues to deliver.
if you check the stats of this drama, you'll find that it appeals to people across all age groups. That's always a good sign.
I forget the point I was trying to make but you'll type your fingers sore hating on another drama in the comment section of a drama you actually like.
This was one of the first kdramas I watched. Rewatching it all these years later and it still holds up. It's even better the second time around. Shin Won-ho PD and Lee Woo-jung writer-nim are a winning combo.
This is the one drama that could have done without the romance of the main lead. I'm pretty flexible around romance sub-plots but this one was unnecessary. There were so many other richer and more impactful relationships and the romance just felt like a tack-on. It's the only reason I'm not increasing my rating by .5 and making this a perfect 10.
Dancing with a woman at a club doesn't mean he's cheating.
Exactly. It's an old people daytime disco. It's been depicted in a lot of dramas. Man is practically a housekeeper in his own home and is taking a free moment to have some fun. I don't think his wife will like it but she's so controlling the only way he can do it is behind her back. Cheating is such a stretch.
Ina's girl classmate remind me to my best friend in school. That extroverted girl break my wall first, make me…
That classmate is picking on I-na. Her voice/words are friendly but her actions are not. She knows exactly what she' doing and I see it escalating in future episodes.
The acting in this is good. Everyone is bringing their A-game. Too often in BLs there is a gap in the acting skills of the leads and it just makes it difficult to watch.
I'm so satisfied with this winners' list. Especially Lee Ha Nee winning best actress is a drama. Love her to bits. Also Moving and Exhuma. Brilliant works across board.
Okay. They have my full attention. Still have reservations about some of the plot choices but I'm biting.
I hope the below-the-belt moralists drop this drama asap. You wouldn't want to corrupt your minds watching the nastiest female character in the history of FLs. She *gasp* had sex with men to lure them into her scam. tut tut tut

It's Sunday. I've got time.
My post: I was a little reluctant to watch this because there's a fat character. It's not worse than anything I've seen so far but the scenes with Dong Hee were still cringe with the usual fat jokes/insults. I'm curious to know why she started eating so much. If it's just a case of her being a glutton, I hope it's properly situated in the story and not just a punchline.
I'm looking forward to the daughter's dynamics with the ML and FL.
First and last line of your response: being fat is nothing to be celebrated... (there is a difference in making fun of the people and navigation facts)
What's the correlation? Because nothing in my comment "celebrates" fatness and the facts I stated are related to episode 1 of the drama. Where are your facts from?
Let's break it down. You read my comment as being positive toward a fat character and felt the need to remind me of how unsightly fatness is but of course, you're not a bad person so you have to add the requisite "I'm just stating facts".
Meanwhile, I'm interested in seeing a fat character be treated as more than a punchline for a change in a K-drama. Let's see some depth for once.
Please don't use my comment as an excuse to air your personal biases. I don't care to be drawn into people's projections. Talk about the DRAMA or exit left.

Are you saying it's okay for Dong Hee to be treated as a punchline in this drama? Because nothing you've typed here relates to my comment. Break it down for me, please.

Maybe I set my expectations too high for this. I knew it was going to be a comedy but I expected it to be a little more mature and a little less gmmtv formulaic. Nothing in the first episode held my attention. The "sex" scene could have been funny af but it mostly fell flat. For me.
But I like Inn so I'm going to dial my expectations way down and enjoy the remaining episodes.
