a real marmite drama
honestly this is such a split reaction to a drama ? I totally get why people don't think it's amazing but I think it's getting more hate than it needs mainly because it came out after kinnporsche which was a lot more mature. tbh if you like a typical Thai BL even if it's a bit cheesy then I think you'll like this! I have dropped dramas that are rated higher and honestly I'm quite liking this!! I think it's worth giving it a few episodes as it's kinda addictive. I find myself excited to see what happens every week and I'm very pleasantly surprised by Kamols actor as I thought he wouldn't pull off a mafia type but he acts it well. sure its not perfect by any means but certainly worth a try especially if you can go in not comparing it to kinnporsche.Was this review helpful to you?
Give it a go for yourself
I know theres mixed reviews but personally I really loved this show. Cinematography was BEAUTIFUL as was the cast! Its storyline wasn't the most riveting thing in the world but it also really doesnt deserve the hate in my opinion. Personally i adored this and found it to be comforting to watch so give it a go before being put off by the negativity! Im not saying its faultless and people can have their own opinions but i really think this page has an uneven view of how this drama actually was like to watch. Personally one of my faves this year tbh i loved waiting for its weekly comfort . Also, it brings up some really important topics especially around gay marriage and love in general. Also a lot of the problems it could have are addressed in the last few episodes so, it really has some lovely moments.Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful
I usually like BL dramas with a lot of drama, spice, tension etc because it makes them interesting to watch. This story doesn't have all that...but it doesnt need it! Its just so good to watch as it is. I was worried id find it boring but not at all! Despite the lack of skinship the chemistry of all the characters is brilliant and the acting is so good, especially Ida! He is a very lowkey actor but his expressions hold a lot of emotion. This is in a great conteast to Aoki but it works so well. Also the comedy really hits the mark for me. Ovrrall its so comforting and a favourite for me now!Was this review helpful to you?
So good. nothing new but worth it.
is it trope and angst haven? yes. did I love it for that? also yes ?. I think they executed them well. some stuff was a little rushed but honestly the chemistry between these 2 and their acting made it so worth watching I couldn't get enough of them. definitely reccomend it if you like an angsty BL with beautiful leads. it also avoided a lot of the really unhealthy tropes, sure it had them but I feel it addressed them well imo, especially compared to some.overall? Worth giving a shot.

Beautiful
a really beautiful show with a rating too low tbh. it's a really good one for Korea, casting was fab, no MAJOR drama but I quite liked that. it was a good one for a sad and lazy afternoon.please don't be turned off by some of these really extreme reviews I don't think some of them are justified at all. we all have our own taste but some are just missing the point

I especially liked the characters of the friend and mother and how they were explored. I think the friend was just so lovely and shows the more accepting modern Korea slowly arising whereas the mother showed rhe fear and conflict the older generations fear for their children

artsy, romantic and sweet.
I enjoyed this show.I'll start with the cons and there's only really 2
1- I feel like we were teased with the GL or not GL. I'd like to see them commit to that in season 2.
2- the artsy nature of it sometimes made the story and bit loose and hard to follow. though I understand this may just be due to my taste and watching it at 3am.
Otherwise there's so many pros. the acting was SUPERB especially in the last episode. I loved that they didn't shy away from romantic intimacy. it wasn't angsty or pushy romance it was easy, soft and beautiful. the filmography was splendid and I think overall it was just a very beautiful and comfortable watch.
I'd definitely say watch it. it wasn't my usual style so I am not sure if I'd watch it again but I definitely enjoyed it and if you like Korean BL this one is definitely one of the best I've seen.

Very cute but not to everyone's tastes
I personally really enjoyed it. It felt nice and cosy to watch every Friday and it covered some really topics and was very fluffy and sweet. I'd have like to see a few more kisses but it isn't essential and it was beautiful.If you're used to japanese shows then i think you'll enjoy it ? I think some comments who don't like it are because they're not familiar wirh or fans of japanese cultural messages and art styles that can be seen within it.
overall though I think it's worth a shot but I warn if you aren't used to Japan's BL or anime shows you may find it slow?

A beautiful beautiful story. I usually don't like body swaps because they lose the BL element but this was still definitely a BL while also sending some of the most beautiful messages ever. messages of self love, equality for gender and sexuality, what it is to be "you", life, death , choices, loveall of it

I also loved the OST and the acting was amazing especially from the two that switched!!
it only loses 0.5 stars because I wanted a bit more time with Kento and Yashiro as themselves in love and some more skinship in that form but it honestly doesn't take away from the story that's just my personal taste.
watch it! genuinely my favourite Japanese BL and one of my favourite Japanese shows in general

Wow so beautiful
one of the best films I've seen in a while.The story was really beautiful though at times heartbreaking. not heartbreaking enough to not be worth watching though. it soothes your wounds afer making them and I ended this with happy tears.
it dealt with some really raw deep subjects in a very real and good way I felt.
honestly? I didn't think it would be this good going into it. so if you're wondering whether to watch it simply just do!
also the cinematography and symbolism is just perfection.

BEAUTIFUL
OK so first let's get the boring stuff out the way...yeah for some reason there's some sound quality issues in the 2nd half but it's nothing major.
also like yeah I guess u can say there's some toxic stuff in it but not really. I mean compared to most BL definitely not and to me like it's a romance drama so obviously there's got to be something causing the drama which doesn't happen if everyone is perfect.
Now onto the many good points
the cast is BEAUTIFUL HOLY HELL they're all gorgeous and their acting is really good alongside it. I fell in love with all the main leads and their characters.
the story I think is good! there's drama, there's a tiny touch of action, lots of cuteness and some humour
the NC scenes are divine!!! some of the best around for sure
I think a lot of the visuals are really beautiful
overall I really liked this, for me it was a brilliant balance of drama,cuteness, hotness, humour and seriousness. I found the ending for both couples super healing and lovely. I'd definitely watch more if it was there!

One of the best dramas I've watched
Yes, some people say it's over hyped. I was afraid it would be too so i waited ages to watch it and nah. I loved it. Yes the humour can be absurd sometimes but...thats kdrama? I personally enjoy it. It was needed in this too. I found the comic relief an essenial balancer with the dark stuff that was going on. I ADORED the character's, they were amazing even the baddies were just so good at being bad. I also personally loved how vincenzo didn’t have his character watered down at the end. Overall just a good story with amazing.characters and unmatched acting. If you're unsure please watch it to atleast episode 5 as at ep4 it really kicks off.Was this review helpful to you?
