Slow but engaging
A thrilling and mysterious spy series, packed with solid action scenes and excellent acting. Honestly, any drama with Namgoong Min is going to be at least a 7/10. The man is one of the best actors in the Korean entertainment business and his performance in this drama is no different. Female Lead Ji-Eun also delivers a believable and realistic character. The series starts strong, lots of unknowns and the writer does a great job of unpacking of it through good dialogue, plot and character development. It gets a bit slow in the middle, but picks up again towards the end. The worst part of any Kdrama is when you can tell the writers get lazy and leave things to coincidence for the resolution to occur. This is certainly not the case for 'The Veil'.

Slow but good
I'm a big fan of crime dramas - and this drama definitely hit the spot.Well developed characters, solid storyline, good casting/acting and lines. I really dislike it when things just 'fall into place' in KDramas. It feels like the writers just got lazy - thankfully this isn't the case for this drama. On the flip side, because the plot is rounded and detailed, it can feel a bit slow at times. Lots of twists and turns that kept me eager to see what happened next.
Jang Hyuk with the all-rounded acting, The man is a consistent top actor and performer. Soo Young also did a great job portraying an unsure yet very capable policewoman. The supporting cast were all solid too.
One of the better dramas I've watched this year.

Lacking
'Kill It' could have been so much better than it is.Story line lacks depth and originality. Things just fall into place, characters just happen to meet each other. There is no proper build up and lacks credibility.
The main cast portrays excellent acting, however the supporting cast characters are all unrealistic and display cliche attributes. Rude teenage angsty kid to a misogynistic police sergeant, who are rude and disrepectful for no apparent reason. Its fair to portray these types characters, but make it believable. The story feels rushed and things are left to coincidence far too often.
Unless you are a fan of the ML and FL - this drama is a hard one to watch.

Hard to Finish
The premise of the story is fun and engaging. Big fantasy/crime fan, so the idea of a magician working side by side with ghosts to solve crimes was greatly appealing to me.The ML did a good job of portraying his character - Park Hae Jin was historically a terrible actor (back in the days) but its good to see that his skillsets have evolved. His relationship with his employee ghosts was heartwarming and comical. Made it bearable to watch.
The FL's character was insufferable and unbelievable. Too over dramatic, too over the top. She would do and say things that would just seem so cliche and cringy. She is unapologetic, whilst lacking skill as a police officer and she is incredibly rude and intrusive to the ML for very little reason.
Without spoiling the plot, there was a moment in episode 5 that just made me cringe and turn off the drama. Glad I didn't waste anymore time on it.
Hard one to watch, or finish, unless you're a fan of the ML/FL
