Ikr? They truly have no shame. The stepdad used her name for the guest house loan because it ‘benefited’ her mother. Her ‘sister’ made use of MiYu’s home and possessions because she ‘owed’ the family. And she even had the temerity to claim MiYu’s appraisal skills with her clients. The only reason stepdad disowned her is because his dealings with her ex were discovered and he figured there was no more money he could get from her in her demoted status. She is well rid of them. As long as she keeps up with the loan payments, she is doing all she can to protect her mom for now.

I don’t really want her with anyone either. Tan would be a good colleague because they have art in common. She could easily be in charge of a gallery. But you are right…Daniel would glow with pride to have her in the family. 😂

I could not agree more. MiYu was trapped because of her mom but once stepdad disowned her and man child hubby divorced her, MiYu is experiencing her first real freedom.

They paid for her schooling and she was expected to be the family ATM after that in gratitude for their benevolence.😝

Yes. Her mom married into the family and MiYu was always made well aware of where her place was in it. 😝There was no affair they are a blended family.

She can work fine with people that actually do their jobs. She is up against severe cronyism and her sister’s appearance didn’t help any. Ji mishandled things by giving her too many jobs requiring personal attendance. He should have checked on his buddy Duan more since he likes to throw curveballs at events. While Rui was well aware of the lobby personnel’s attitude and poor management, Ji wasn’t. He failed with his responsibilities there and put the onus on her to figure it out. I am hoping Mr Tan’s chat will straighten some things out and get the blame to where it really belongs.

Remember that he said we would get the ending we wanted.

From your personal perspective it was quite accurate, but I have a different view of these events. Mi Yu has a quiet refined strength that is underestimated, overlooked and disregarded. The drama definitely made her look weak for far too long but in spite of appearances she is not the doormat she seems. She treats people with compassion and courtesy even at her own expense which is seen as a huge weakness and often taken advantage of. However, this also eventually gained loyalty and respect from her fellow workers. They have all become better people because of her example. She is re evaluating her life and finding out how she fits into her new circumstances, but she has not changed the core of who she is as a person. This is why she frustrates the hell out of the mistress. She can’t imagine Mi Yu not living for revenge. Mi Yu did have a petty moment at the bday banquet, but she was the first to warn mistress that the wanting was better than the having as far as her husband was concerned. Mi Yu now gets to change her parameters as she chooses and even tho it’s a pauper’s salary compared to her previous lifestyle, there is a great freedom of ties cut with man child hubby and money grubbing stepdad albeit the most painful experiences of her life. Her childhood friend re enters her life and they help each other out like real friends do, thru thick and thin no matter what. The cast is a mixed bag of characters but the foursome of Ji, Mi Yu, cook and Rui have completely won me over. I enjoy watching them overcome the obstacles they are showered with and looking forward to see how they wrap things up.

That is a lot of time hate watching invested. And to come back in three weeks to fast fwd to end. I haven’t witnessed this degree of dedication before in a drama so despised. All ears to read your updated review after airing. I am enjoying this drama myself but I am curious to see if you actually return or not. Hope you have happier viewing elsewhere.

His crush was obvious when he agreed to help Xu MiYu with interview and she is doing her best to sideline him for now. But I do not see her going for the diva Duan either. His first love is himself and nobody has him out of that zone yet.

That was pure snark mocking the faults found with first episode. I did find one scene funny later in the drama. But it was with three friends in hospital and just an aside. The drama itself is riveting drama and not geared to humor.

No. There are a few asides that are humorous but for the most part it is intense back and forth battle of wits.

You might want to change your 5’s to 10’s at the bottom as details do matter. Your written reviews tend to be spot on and can be quite brilliant. Your numbers however,…. when you told a member that your number ranking was simply leveraging hype numbers, that was a huge disappointment. There is really no counter to the phone gaffe, that was an easily avoided mistake. But if you say you’re all about the drama and not the hype, the numbers should also reflect the drama, not the hype. Otherwise that invalidates your reviews no matter how well written.

Without express we won’t see an episode til 31st and then 1 episode a day til ends on April 3 or 4 depending on if starting ep 26 or 27after 3 day hiatus. The calendar is up in pics and is a depressing sight for waiting. 😭

😂 I was afraid she was going to show up at the car banging on the window. I was glad they hugged it out, but even more glad she really left. She truly was insufferable. I felt bad for XiaoCen but even worse for the little sister getting bossed around in her own house. She really needed to go.

Nope. In my episode review I said the beautiful moment for me was mom heading for the plane. That the sis and daughter needed a break from her along with me. 😝🤣
