Gma stopping XiGuang from helping with the baby broccoli.đ Lin chats with mom but it is not mentioned why she doesnât want the family knowing sheâll be local. XiGuang is helping Gma by adding wood to a very old fashioned stove. I gotta laugh picturing any of her college âfriendsâ trying that. đ Gma makes it very clear how unimpressed she is with her son and his current living arrangements. She gives XiGuang tips on how to keep a husband in line.đđ€Ł When XiGuang is leaving, Gma continues with dating advice. She is kinda freaking at the prospects of returning to work and seeing Lin. She is adorable thinking she has blocked seeing him so well when he quietly reveals to her he has no excuses left to stay away from the office and sheâs going to have to deal with him being in the vicinity. Lin makes himself most popular boss with a paid weekâs vacation and promise of replacing unliked caterer at their meeting. Jie finds out offering to handle office party is a bigger job than expected. While they are out of the office she quizzes XiGuang on why sheâs been acting weird around boss and dumping work on her to get signed. She is saved by the bell of her phone to find herself at dinner with ShingYi who promises to spill some tea. He reminds me of an older version of her cousinđđ€Ł a total pain in the arse but good natured so put up with đđ€Ł instead of tea, he is more trying to be Linâs wingman. He is putting her on the spot that if YuSen doesnât make the cut who on earth can?đđ€Ł He also says she is getting more like him which she definitely struggles with processing. ShingYi comments in what a great catch Lin is and that every girl in the medical building would be envious of her.đđ€Ł Lin tells his friend to shut up and brushes XiGuangâs coat on purpose. He is wanting her to become used to closer proximity without weirdness between them. He congratulates her for being brave enough to sit with him for the meal and she cannot figure out how on earth he is calmly eating dinner from their leftovers and then paying the bill. ShingYi did well, the restaurant chosen has a walking area so she canât escape in a cab right out the door. She is forced to walk some with him. As they are chatting she wonders what would have been had she met YuSen first and said it aloud. When sheâs annoyed with his friend for getting him to assist in medical matters knowing he canât be a doctor he surprises her with his thinking. He said heâd had a year to be dramatic about his hands and that was more than enough. Why hold on it forever? She took a minute to process that. He comments on her dark eye circles and the stress she has suffered because of him and apologizes sincerely for blindsiding her with his confession. This makes her think back to her text apologizing to Xu for confessing. She tells him not to apologize and they agree to not be awkward at work anymore. He wants to take her to the worksite and he goes to an area not earmarked for any project and asks her what should go there. She wants a garden/snack area for the workers and he gives it to her for a work project to be in charge of. She is recovering from the flip of suggesting an idea for him to make happen to him telling her sheâs in charge and he will sign the paperwork.đShe then gets introduced to BIPV vs BAPV. She and Jie are trying to process what this all means and XiGuang is unhappy that she created her own trap.đđ€Ł Their supervisor needs taste testers for new caterers and decides the only fair method is to draw for it. Only two can go. Lin enters the mix and it comes down to him and XiGuang with the last two strips. Lin says she got the last chance to go.

Lin and XiGuang are adorable in the arcade.đ„°đ€Ł Lin scores points with the girl in movie line but loses points with the guy for breaking the bro code.đđ€ŁThis couple is also a cute aside as they watch Lin and XiGuang. She falls asleep because itâs been a very long day. He is filling her in on the points of the movie when the gal from other couple compliments him on his multitasking skills.đ XiGuang is determined to get that scenic view so Lin takes her to a quiet top tier place with a gorgeous view of the city. I love his banter with her about getting to boss her around while on her payroll. They have another âplot twistâ when he has to go with her to police station to get a temp ID card. His concern that she stays safe and well in her room so his reputation stays intact.đ€Łđ Xu and friend are drinking at a local bar. Rongâs friend has finally agreed to accept his gfâs confession and they are officially a pair. What is disheartening about the conversation is he asks Xu if true love is left for the handsome guys like him, He is rather ambivalent about his relationship and implies she is the one due to lack of better option. He feels she is doing the same.đIâm hoping these two wait a long time before getting married. Xu is drinking a lot regularly. He is quiet but unhappy. This is becoming a negative habit for him when not working. He is rather sullen and killing time til he can go back to work. Lin is all rise and shine for breakfast. He greets her sweetly and then teases her all through breakfast. His comment is he could only be more handsome by upgrading car.đđ€Ł They make it in and both present gifts to her friend. This is one of the few friends I liked for her. At the table Rong makes an appearance and starts in on how inferior XiGuangâs and Linâs positions must be in the company. Lin grins when XiGuang sets her straight using family ties to make point of where her strengths are. I like when Lin tells her she nudged back with enough force to put Rong in place but stopped there. It is nice to see XiGuang standing up for herself. Her friend that is settling for best option then makes a catty remark about staying overnight in Shanghai. Lin puts that down and makes it clear everything was done with propriety. Then XiGuangâs low EQ friend wants to know why a doctor isnât practicing medicine. Lin gave her permission to explain but she tries to justify it as multiple interests. The wedding couple comes over to toast and wine is spilled on XiGuang. I am grieved that XiGuang still shows interest in Xu, but have to grin that Lin retaliates with the big piece of fat because she was so focused he just grabbed whatever bite for her.đ€Łđ she serves him soup and low EQ friend amuses Lin by getting served too.đ€Łđ The wedding couple come over for a toast and Xu spills wine on XiGuang. I am waiting to see how it is handled because of course this is where episode ends.đ

She accepts the invitation to go to the wedding but had to decline helping her friend prep for her wedding because the same day. A cold snap hits and the outfit she planned to wear isnât suited so Lin takes her shopping. She is spoiled and he gets a discount. When they arrive she learns that the bride wasnât the inviter. It is covered quickly and she is still processing she is really his plus one. Ok, that he knew to the second when he saw her was a new extreme of love at first sight. I like that her safety charm is in his car. đ„°There is a poignant moment when he greets his mentor. XiGuang is considered his gf and he tells his mentor he is still pursuing her.đ„° Her college friends bump into her while Lin is getting the car. It seems Rong made everybody believe she was studying abroad and not on a study trip with her cousin. It is debatable whether this was an accident or on purpose. Rong has a lot to say about XiGuang finding her own happiness when Mr tall dark and awesomely handsome comes up the stairs for her. He knows she is upset but not sure why. He is introduced to the group and he makes a point to greet Xu.đđWhen her friends try to team up on her for missing the prep day, he comes to her rescue and takes the blame for her absence. He also wants to take her out so she is back to being happy after being upset by her âfriendsâ. They come across as pretty toxic as they didnât ask why she was there but started ganging up with accusations. Seems they havenât changed much. đThe episode ends with them heading to the bank for more cash. He wants to know how much she plans on spending and she just grins. đ Compared to her work colleagues, it is pretty clear how shabbily she is treated by the friends from home. Guess Rong helped her out since Xu was unaware XiGuang was local.

XiGuang noticed that his left hand couldnât keep up while trying her game. She wants to know why his friend keeps talking about surgeries with Lin when he canât be a doctor. She thinks itâs mean. He explains it is exposure therapy to help him heal from his sudden change of work status. She watches him attentively with patients and former colleagues and sees how capable he is. She even comments that he is incredible because he is equally good with the business. The teasing at lunch about the horror movieđđ€Ł she finds an easier game for him to work his hand and successfully win. đ„°They are funny when comparing salaries. đđ€Ł After discharge she finally tells her mom she was injured but she changes how she was injured and the degree of injury. He yells at her to quit worrying the people who care about her. I donât think she realized he included himself in that group. He drives her home and she sees his eyesight was also impaired but I think she really liked how he looked in glasses.đEverybody greets her when she returns to work and Lin plans a dinner to improve their Feng shui đđ€ŁHe says that he and XiGuang will pay since they started the rumors of bad luck. She and her friend are speculating if she will really have to pay. When they get to the place it is very top tier and all the most expensive dishes are ordered. He calls her down to the register and claims to have forgotten his wallet.đ€Łđ She counters that this will make them even for hospital bill.đShe wants to know if they are ok now and asks why he disliked her so much initially. He commented that she was carefree and forgetful. She equated that with being called a ditz but has no clue what he is talking about. She just knows heâs sincere in his opinion and he sees that she is not recalling but neither understand why the other doesnât get it. She cannot believe how audacious he in in accepting all credit for the meal she paid for.đđ€ŁShe wonders if they are friends now. Xu goes head to head with a colleague about doing business with an overseas client. He advises more caution than she does. His supervisor asked his opinion and Xu outlined all his concerns. It is noted by his colleague that disagrees. He gets a call from his friend informing him to come to his wedding on the 2nd. XiGuang asks Lin why she is always the one staying late. He reminds her how much her family makes and that he felt guilty taking advantage of the working classđđ€Ł They make new rules for a budding friendship as to how to address each other. The exchange of gifts.đ„° He is thinking very late for the safety charm and she is touched at the thoughtful gift of ointment to lessen scarring. The colleague that shrieked and caused her fall felt guilty and invited XiGuang to her wedding. They discuss the wedding invite and then it segues into if the reward high enough would I jump off the balconyđđ€Łshe gets a call from a classmate wanting help with her wedding. She doesnât want to go when all of them gathering as that would most likely include Rong and Xu.

XiGuang definitely has no clue who Lin is and that seems to really annoy him. TBH I would not understand his issue had novel readers not included spoilers. After getting caught after hours she and mentor are begged by procurement dept to hurry up a contract because they wanted to rush payment. XiGuangâs desk and personal stamp are used on it and while she wanted to read all of the contract, she trusted her mentor and didnât argue the point. It turns out that money unit for one item was in RMB currency and now a big finance mistake. The ass from procurement is talking a different story when he wants to toss blame for an issue caused by his department. While these two departments argue about how to distribute blame, Lin is observing areas of company and talking with an old mentor. There is then a nice long chat about renewable non fossil energy. Mr Lin is called about the money issue and personally handles it. What doesnât seem right is that Mo department head getting on his high horse to criticize hires for a completely different department. That should be out of his purview once the upper management intermediates overlapping department conflicts. Lin kept his responses polite and civil while dealing with a pompous ass. The next time his lackey comes begging for a rushed contract I hope they take their time to read every bit of fine print and then clear it with supervisor before signing off on it. XiGuang finds herself transferred to admin where Lin will now directly be her supervisor. He has provided her a shield for Mo but admin has no jobs available. She finds herself in a very disorganized company archive buried under files and old contracts. She has found her organizing super powerđđ€Ł This job is actually a good break for her to keep her job and be low profile to avoid any further work issues. Lin does not seem happy with his job placement but his hand and wrist seems to be causing big issues which is why surgeon no longer a job option. XiGuang is cute singing to herself while cleaning. Lin shows up and gets a new reason to scowl at her.đShe should just keep working silently and not try to butter up the boss that has already saved her ass from a serious mistake. Her comment about rushing payment has him reviewing procurement contracts. He is offended by her claiming to have a good memory but with work details she has shown this to be true. He has challenged her to research their top 50 products and historically determine their prices and development. She is not happy with the assignment but she refuses to back away from it. She creates a spreadsheet with all the requested data and then asks for time off. He canât deny her skills but she doesnât get time off for her efforts. Her lame health excuse to a prior doctor did not go over well. She should have just been honest and say she needed a break to rejuvenate after all the overtime hours. The trio of roomies hear a new hire is getting one of the new rooms when they should have been on the list. They are especially annoyed because the new hire is in procurement department. They are deciding if they should speak up or stay quiet. It is already clear XiGuang is not gonna stay quiet. She opts to talk to Lin directly rather than file a complaint. So she corners him when heâs exiting from a meeting. Goes to next episodeâŠ

BiZhi started his search in 2021 and worked backwards. He realized that a child he had rescued from a car accident several years ago was BeiLu. He accepts that BeiLu is not ZiYi and tells him he wonât be putting him in danger anymore. BeiLu wanted to know if he could keep visiting. His Scrooge of a landlord booted him out over a puppy and he ended up at Yashe. BiZhi was not enthused with the puppy but he did recognize BeiLuâs tender heart and saw the adoption center that needed help and volunteers. So he gives BeiLu a job at Yashe and a China history book to study. Mr Dong tends to show up when only BeiLou is there and BiZhi shows up just in time to keep them both out of trouble. As BeiLu wanders the shop he comes across a room heâs forbidden to go into. We already see where this is going.đI donât know if this is BiZhiâs memories or about an artifact but there is a flashback to siblings where the family was in the escort service. The sister lamented that her brother would get all the adventures and continue family legacy while she would be trapped inside playing a zither. She eventually wore her brother down and their friend played for them as they practiced sword drills. It was clear the friend loved the sister but she wanted to roam free with adventures and never marry. We are not told how long she rode with her brother escorting goods back and forth, we are just clued in that she was killed on a mission and the one that loved her did not forgive the brother for teaching her how to fight. He planned to avenge her singlehandedly and the brother said he also had plans to avenge her. This was the point where their story ended in this episode.

Episode begins with XiGuang practicing her interview in Chinese and English. This gives her a chance to get a job independent of her parents. She and friend are trying to determine Zhang Xuâs motivation to refer her to his senior in the company. Does this mean he LIKES her or not? XiGuang finds out that her interview is a formality and she has the job. Scene shifts to a board meeting where Lin is asked for his opinion on what has been discussed. In this, he is similar to Xu speaking directly and frankly with no shmoozing to the board members. He does, however, use more tact and is respectful to the people he is speaking to and about. He hasnât endeared himself to the Wuxi group with his assessment. When the roommates gather over lunch they get on XiGuangâs case because she wants to consider the job rather than rush to accept. Everybody is looking out for Rongâs feelings. XiGuang is pleased she got her first job on her own. She thinks a celebratory dinner is being planned but is blindsided by Rong who believes she wasnât told about her interview. She has all this proof about the time that the call was made and employees account of how the message was supposed to have been passed on. It is very clear to me that the chipper low EQ roommate who is away for a few days the culprit, but she is not even considered. Everybody is convinced she tried to bury Rongâs chance of an interview and XiGuang is hurt they donât believe her. Rong goes out of her way to be a royal b to XiGuang and Zhuang Xu doesnât help matters. There is a flashback of a confession where he apologizes for not accepting. She wasnât deterred but said she would keep trying. So now the department can gossip about her bf stealing and her lying about the interview call for Rong. They really drag this out for all they are worth. I thought a bit excessive since Rong is getting her interview. Her cousin is being his goofy self to try to cheer her up. Rong now throws daggers about finding a trusting lover. Sheâs showing off the phone Xu got for her. Chirpy roomie comes back and starts setting things straight about the interview call. She wants to know why XiGuang moved out. As she explains what really happened and that the company failed with follow-up call, Rong has to do some self reflection. I like how her friend speaks to their entire dept setting things straight. These twoâŠthey gathered evidence like a court case with timestamps and recorded call verifying exactly what really happened and why neither was guilty of any wrongdoing. At this point XiGuang says she finds the company unreliable and doesnât plan on working for them. Her roommates did apologize and they now move forward rejoicing over the flip from social media as the truth is spread on campus. Rong and Xu didnât show up at the truth be told dinner. I find I donât care about their absences. The meal was a happier event without them. Xuâs senior is apologizing via phone call about the lies and misunderstanding of Rongâs interview call. His mom is really pushing a relationship with Rong but that is not where his heart is. The episode ends with her meeting her professor and finding Xu in the room.

Why Is He Still Single? Episode 1

We are introduced to YuYu, a man who speaks his mind unfiltered and who expects top quality in everything he deals with whether food or design materials. He is somewhat antisocial by choice and amuses his colleagues with his ability to inadvertently annoy women in particular with his word choices in communication. He is perfectly comfortable alone and in fact declares that is his preference. He doesnât want to mingle but he does want to share things he appreciates, like the noodles. But unfortunately that fell flat and he was embarrassed at the young designer he feels is showing him up. He is not pleased with design changes and shoddy workmanship and is not winning popularity points there either. At the movies he is a stickler for the rules but expecting the woman to move twice rather than once. He just gave her every reason to keep the seat. I enjoyed her reaction to him being called away.đđ€Ł He ends up in the hospital for hemorrhoids and does not recognize Dr Gu as the woman he met at the movies. He has interesting relationships with his colleagues and they scheme together with cash quickly passing back and forth with YuYu usually winning.đ Itâs a fun start of drama as he meets his new neighbor with plushie drop and in spite of his gruff nature, he wants her to get her item back. He is prickly by nature yet rather thoughtful when understood.

This episode gave the stepmomâs history and I found that I didnât give a free flying about it. I was not even going to register this an 8 til the tournament game started. That made this episode worth the watch. Stepmomâs mentor was enlisted to get Asuka back into competing. She brought him to the table with her game and her attitude. I liked when she went over to get the snack and said that age and gender shouldnât register when sitting down at the game. And then she beat him as well.đ Her step brother finally grew a spine with his mom, but he showed himself a complete ass for the match. Too bad the dad wasnât watching to see his kids play. Guess new wifey had better game, but she was weak with the game and a bully to get her way so she was no prize. Her son is just like her and his fiancĂ©e would do well to rid herself of the lot of them.đ Asuka successfully kicked little broâs ass and they had a brief chat. She was neither fearful or impressed with the idea of competing against monster dad. She knew what he was at five.đ I like her stepping stone comment. Good on her. Sheâs got the grit for it. So the brother I think is the culprit releasing the pics of Asuka and knife at that match to the press. Somehow she still gets to keep playing and that certainly rocked her world, but I am glad to know the father was made aware of what his daughter thought of him. I donât even know if he is capable of having that register, but maybe it pinged somewhere in that shogi brain of his what a complete ass and loser he was with his first family. The ones that made the mistake of loving him more than the damn game. That affection was wiped off the planet and he should know that. I want her to wipe the floor with him and tell him to stop playing like he did to her. I really hope to see that moment. Then she should walk away without another glance like he did her and her mom. I can dream right?

The small fox clone is so sure he has FuGui in the bag for his master that he launches himself at FuGui expecting to feed off hatred. He finds himself tossed and bouncing around like a Pachinko ball because no hatred exists inside FuGui.đ€Łđ This amused me. I still smirk thinking about it. While the fox is testing FuGui, QingTong runs into Madam Yin. The spider master learns that old ways no longer hold sway with QingTong and that her 12580 was doing her damndest to blow them both up with her core to keep the master from FuGui. He arrives just in time to slam QingTongâs core back into her and defeat the spider master who is stunned that he was capable of hauling out a divine flame blade with such little spiritual energy left. He refuses to kill her while she moans over her husbandâs core and screeching about HongYeâs treachery. Here FuGui knew was incorrect because they record all demons killed. So he looks at the core and points out that it was in suspended animation and he could remove the seal to prove it to her. She spent so much time with her hatred she missed that detail.đđ Here she offers a future favor as a thank you. So when FuGui helps a demon he gets the entire spider spy network owing him. Quan JingTing disrupts a lot, but he is not a great asset to any cause for human or demon. He is despised by both sides. With that mind scrambling talisman he said the blood magic would only spare the creator while EVERY person in there failed to note HE was the one that destroyed it. That poor young priest was demon brainwashed whether by deceit or choice and was driven to suicide before the truth could be told. This fickle YiQi alliance have no problems killing their own and change leadership with little thought. They cave to the strongest and/or richest. HongYe has been set up and his people know it, but instead of killing off that wretched QingTing, he uses the same warped logic with himself as FuGui and sees it as harmful if they kill off each other. Funny he didnât see that logic with his son and innocent life.đ I canât feel sorry about or angry at his betrayal. He keeps the villains close with minimal restraint. I am glad the butler pointed out how little the alliance actually does for the power they want to wield and how FuGui basically took care of the entirety of their demands with no reward in sight. That prophecy is getting closer and they are to blame. Small scenes with RuMu still trying to find his ice dragon and being in bad shape. He is a mess and bragging about soldier backing him when he hears just a bit of whatâs been happening with his cousin. They are going to have an interesting conversation when they next meet.

This episode has FuGui and QingTong resting in an unknown village. Their care for each other is quite sweet.đ„° Even the fox messenger is amused at the lack of feeling Quan JingTing displays at his misdeeds. The uncle thinks he is just getting what entitled to and no reason for guilt. HongYe missing his son and wishing him safe doesnât move me since he is the same parent that whipped him, left him hanging literally for days in the elements, and demanded FuGui kill a woman he loved with an audience. He is so much more like his father than I expected him to be. The evil ones are starting to register on QingTongâs warning webs. She again opts to not say anything.đ After Peach Village I was hoping not another setup when big bowls of wine passed around. Who knew how much FuGui really takes after his mom. So little time to get divine fire. He is a great legacy for HuaiZhu. He even has her gift of drinking without getting drunk. đ All the wishes over glutinous rice balls and lanterns. This has been a nice respite but the fox messenger at the end makes it clear this is the calm before the storm. The actress playing QingTong has such a sweet childlike smile. She is adept at presenting childlike joy that makes us smile along with Fu Gui at her. These two show such sweet affection for each other. It does not seem forced and they work well together. The entire cast did an outstanding job of portraying their characters and making that world come alive. Production is doing well with the fantastical portions. The man to hate this series is Quan JingTing. đHe does an outstanding job of making you loathe him on sight. I was not expecting HongYe to reside so high on the hate list. He is actually second in line for me. The more I try to sympathize with his character, the more inclined he is to do something tunnel visioned that pisses me off. To have such strong feelings good and bad, this cast rises to the next tier as a whole with no weak link acting to pull you out of the story. I am in the minority that enjoyed both prior installments equally and sequentially rather than order of release. This last installment takes it up a level and continues the story masterfully. đđ»

Asuka is going up the ranks and seems calmer. She is more interested in her appearance by choosing her own look. As she battles the top female player, she is so lost in the game she doesnât realize she won. These two would have been good friends under different circumstances. I donât think she chose a new pattern of play for a way out. I think she wanted to know if she could be defeated by Asuka. Once she lost, it was easier to accept bowing out to accommodate family. The dad is still an obtuse jerk, but he recognizes his daughterâs talent. Here her mentor is losing it and I am glad their angel is along to keep him from doing something stupid. Asuka is shocked to see her dad, but to her credit, isnât losing it either. She needs to acclimate herself to the environment to beat him. The step mom is blocking her from participating so she canât progress. The preview looks interesting because Asuka is getting the chance to explain herself to a top master. I am curious if she loves the game like her father, or just wants to kick his ass with the game and be done. Not many are noticing this series, but I think it is quite well done and gives us a good view of the game without expecting us to be masters to get whatâs going on. I think they have struck the right balance to keep the game central and viewers interest in all the characters.

I enjoyed this episode as it revealed some history of the knife wielder Su and Kui. When the mask was split, Chang He said that speech was for Kui and now he was talking to Mu Yu. He reminded his friend of the pact they had made and why Patriarch needed to die. They grew up as numbers 17 (Kui/Su Mu Yu) and 63 (Su Chang He). Early on they looked out for each other and rescued each other as needed. They were the best two assassin prodigies and great things were expected of them. I was with the Su representative that wanted to take out the teacher that pitted them against each other. The task was ten left and one returned. When it was down to the last two 63 was going to sacrifice himself and 17 refused to let him. He was determined they would find a better way. There was a brief flash of Patriarch and I think this is how both got to live, but we have not been filled in on the backstory yet. The patriarch is having nightmares and they show his sword broken. This is new. Healer Bai wants to do a soul swap with him to determine what symptoms he is experiencing. I think this is code for sifting his memories for her father while studying symptoms. Rabbit has sensed a new Tang present that wants to settle the score with Patriarch. Their battle is interesting and pretty equal so far. 63 has put obstacles in 17âs way to patriarch hoping the leader will die before he gets back. The Mu clan has sent a creepy one with lamp children to kill him but the Kui outsmarted him and wanted him dead, so this is his first Blood River offering. There is a very strong bond between the two assassins, and he has been warned that if they change roles and Su Chang He becomes patriarch, that he will indeed kill his best friend. Even with that, Kui continues. I am enjoying both the history flashbacks and the different battle elements. I am also glad creepy guy that preyed on children got killed early. He really needed to go. The music with this drama is also quite good. The Patriarch is on the move to destination unknown so this will be an added obstacle for Kui in finding him.

BeiChuanâs business partner sets up a meeting with Yan. To be fair, Yan tries to tell them politely this isnât his cup of tea. He and XiNing are now partners and she shows up to the table expecting adoration for blessing off their project. Beichuan excuses himself from the conversation and leaves. I have no idea where she had the temerity in her diatribe to accuse him of the things she said. All those behaviors were herâs exclusively through the course of their limited relationship. She is as delusional as the student in her opinion of herself and him. I am glad BeiChuan kept it brief and to the point. His first assent to her labeling their relationship status made her head jerk. She had no idea he would agree that was the best thing to do. The more she added on, the more he was inclined to agree. I am not a big fan of BeiChuan actually. He is out of a job because he refused to exercise common sense in taking care of his student/teacher status. He acquiesced to every harebrained expectation of XiNing, so he was no better there. He at least recognizes it and chooses to accept the consequences for both. I give him credit for that. Their pairing is truly a cautionary tale of what not to do in many respects. She has no true respect for him as a person. She admires his writing skills but doesnât give thought to his feelings on anything. He doesnât meet her as an equal partner in their relationship. He wanted to be subservient no matter the cost to himself and that further supported her complete lack of appreciation for him. Thatâs why she returned thinking he would be the happy servant celebrating a big pay day, not the man that would walk with her no matter what for a lifetime. Yan and XiNing are having a fancy meal at a new restaurant. Yan briefly mentions her gpa and how community leaders wanted to use her connection for a land deal. He refused for herâŠ.for now. BeiChuan and Professor Ni enter restaurant, but he suggests they leave due to unstable ex. While they ride away on bicycles XiNing throws shoes and curses them. She really does come across as unhinged with her impulsive outbursts. Yan comes back to find Yin waiting for him. This one is also unhinged. He is a stalker now and heâs strong and determined to get his money back. I donât know why Yan wonât do it. No matter how much, it is the guyâs money for services not rendered and heâs due the refund. Why keep creepy stalker guy around when he could just throw money at him and call it a day? BeiChuan has just made a date with professor Ni to go to the movies and XiNing shows up at the door. She has a huge rant session and she did have a point about the clothes, but the fact that he didnât have many more items should have been noted. He wore them from necessity because he is a very practical man. She is worse on the ears than Jiuling. I had to take breaks from it. When he shut the balcony door and locked it. Good on him.đ she even punctured his bike tire. This woman is shameless and not in a funny way. She is borderline crazy. He had no expectations of her being the money maker. They just had completely different goals. She wanted the Mercedes and he wanted multicultural understanding. She is tiresome. That is the kindest term I can give her. When she gets home, there is a surprise. The runaway bride has returned. There is no explanation of the why, just that she missed home and was ready to deal with whatever punishment was in store for her. BeiChuan leaves Ni to go there. He sees the bride being hauled away in handcuffs. When he tries to give XiNing a handkerchief she refuses. The next day he meets Professor Ni at a coffee shop. She is such a nice mature person. She has surmised the situation and kindly says he has things to resolve. She suggests putting a pin on their relationship growing until he has made up his mind and settled things. I hope BeiChuan has a moment of regret anytime she comes to mind in future. I like her. But, BeiChuan is kind of a yes man, I think she wants someone more willing to debate from time to time. I hope she finds the right guy and has a happy life. It is Yanâs bday and his party is at a karaoke place. BeiChuan arrives late and after the happy bday he asks what he thinks the sentence for Shan will be. And BeiChuan candidly answers. I think Yan is wanting an idea of what his sentence will be when the hammer comes down. XiNing also arrives late and catches Yan in the hall. He actually does an excellent job of giving her a big brother speech. I donât think it will register, but he tried. He also runs into Yin who stabs him. He tells BeiChuan what happened and that they are now square. He calmly sits down, gets Yanâs phone, and calls the police. He sits there looking at the party snacks and not one of Yanâs guests take note of him. A week later Yan gets out of the hospital saying I didnât think he would be that vindictive. I have no words for him here. His vindictive stinginess bit him in the ass because Yinâs case opened up Yanâs secret dealings. He was sent to prison for quite awhile. BeiChuanâs business partner runs in out of breath saying he is taking XiNing to the airport to go to Hungary. BeiChuan should have only had two words for herâŠ.bon voyage.đHe convinces her to marry him instead. There is always the second certificate option. XiNing tries to give the watch back to Yi, but gma tells her to keep it. This is her choice as well. They had a montage of sweet moments, but for me, they did not outweigh the shrill mandates she spent almost 90% of their time together yelling at him. And the beautiful ballad in background while she was shrieking them, really did not work for me. I loved the first two parts and the couples they represented. This third part will always be the cautionary tale.

Score one big for Mr professor. No clue how he knew where the address was, but he made it his business to save her. He went to the door and asked for XiNing, since she had stalled for so long, she hadnât offered Shan anything yet except company. BeiChuan swapped bags while girlfriend hurled insults. Next ring was police for Ms Shan. Guess they noticed that ultra elite Mercedes she was driving. I am understanding Wen with Fu much better now. XiNing asks to leave after saying she was there to visit a school friend. When they went to check bag she dropped it and knew the gig was up. Miraculously, the books she said were there, were actually there. She went home and did some contrition crying. She needs to reflect and be very grateful she has someone that cares about her. He brought the money bag back, knocked in the door and left. She found the bag and knew who left it. Next day she is in the phone trying to get her order out. BeiChuan drops by with food. She says thanks for the food and dismisses him. She should have hugged that man and said thank you. She should have treasured the one that looked out for her best interest when she was too damned stubborn to do it herself. She is still focused on the problem with shipment more than gratitude of the problem he solved for her. Shan canât hold grudges because she didnât imply anything untoward with the visit. Yan is discussing Shanâs difficulties when BeiChuan comes in. He doesnât say a word but takes Yanâs fancy phone and throws it through the window and left. That spoke volumes about what he thought of his friend almost getting his girlfriend in serious trouble. Yan is packing his money and running. It is not clear where exactly heâs headed but he has friends scattered globally so he will land on his feet. XiNing returns his money and he adds it to the stack and they part ways. BeiChuanâs book has taken off and become quite popular. He has a book signing at some big place and XiNing looks on but doesnât let him know she is there. She knows his course was the best path though much slower to progress. While she admires him, she chooses to save face and leave with nothing but a break up note left for him. I expected more courage from her. She was all Miss in his face til she was proven wrong and then she canât even speak to him. I guess a note is better than nothing, but not much. She continues to take the low road mistaking it for the high one.đ A year has lapsed and story continues. XiNing returns to town in her big ass Mercedes, scarlet red lipstick and designer sunglasses. She meets BeiChuan on the bridge and jumps on him like sheâs a long lost lover returning. In her eyes she is. She thinks he will be impressed with her stuff and status, forgetting that was always last on his list. He was politer than I would have been. He simply said whatâs wrong with you? And he leaves. His look is a mixture of sadness and contempt as she is all fake joy and listing off stuff with no âsad Iâm sorry for leaving youâ entering her pea brain. I am glad she isnât blood with the Lin girls. I can blame Wenâs clan. đShe is the cautionary tale of this group of three. She is probably still redeemable, but she definitely wasted a decade extra with self absorption. She is not a credit to her family no matter how much money she has made. She has become the Shen sis.đđ BeiChuan is far from flawless, but his care for her brought about stronger actions. He was waiting for his words to catch up. She didnât bother waiting and now wants greeted with open arms. Iâm with BeiChuan, what the hell is wrong with her that she thinks she has this coming? Yan and XiNing share a meal and both realize the other has had no real contact with BeiChuan. I like the big sis talk she has with Jiuling. Little sis certainly needs to learn about restraint. BeiChuan has a chat with his business partner. He gets teased about the relative he has that would love bike rides around town and living in a partitioned room. BeiChuan is not ascetic like Wen. He simply appreciates living within his means and is not covetous of things he canât afford. Tong tong strikes again. That smutty book she had published incriminated BeiChuan,XiNing, Yan and even Jiuling. She fesses up under duress as XiNing lets her know what she has done. There is a sad way she is just like XiNing, she wants to throw money at it and thinks it;s forgiven. Guess the professor unfortunately has a type. đ The episode ends with Tong Tong crying after him and BeiChuan finally yelling at her to leave him alone. The poor kid is truly delusional. BeiChuan has resigned and his career is over thanks to this stupid stunt. Here, I am not as sorry for him, he had so many times to report her, clear the air, and set her straight. But he didnât look after himself and minimally corrected her. His lack of action has cost him big.
