Deciding best for children and fallout from fake divorce case

Qin knew once her case was won that it had issues and submitted her doubts to her boss who chose adding clients to the firm over ambiguity of the divorce case. Once she saw Qin was uncomfortable, she was delegated to non-litigation cases—something completely out of her wheel house. She has accepted it but now that her case has blown up publicly the fallout has become much greater. Your boss offering a favor when they are barely your boss…😝I’m less impressed with Shen’s friend. It is looking like Qin was set up to take the fall if things went south. The case with the three children is incredibly sad. The daughter will have a hard time being separated from her brothers and they are still young to know how they will be affected. The Gma has been the financial support and housing for the family. So now that the worthless father wants out, his wife will be out with no house or financing to support the children she has taken care of and lived with every day since birth. She is being criticized for leaving her work options and staying unemployed. The Gma is willing to part with the daughter but wants the twin boys with her. There is no good scenario here because it is love vs stability and both are equally important. What I wish would happen is the Gma kick out her worthless son and keep wife and kids in her home. That would be the ideal circumstance for them. Shen’s judge friend has updated him on Qin’s case and how she has already been set back from what originally appeared a promising start. The saddest part is Lian leaving divorce papers on the table and a note that he is moving to mutton shop. Shu has spent little time at home because of her job so her attitude about his current job has let him cut ties that have been cut for awhile. We have no clue how long they have not been on the same page. They are united with Fei as good parents should be. But what has become painfully clearer is that they are not on the same page for much of anything else. Qin is invited to an outing with her roomie and at the door they learn it is a singles activity. Qin is far from enthused but bullied by roomie to get the free meal and meet people.

Cases successful — personal relationships not so much

Qin’s divorce case turned out successfully. She was even offered her own firm. When she chatted with her boss they were in agreement that overseas monies would cause trouble for those handling them. Qin believes the divorce is a sham to divert assets to wife. This was the best way to save them money. She politely but firmly rejected the job offer. Shen sees the family of abducted boy together in restaurant and goes in to observe. They seem much happier in each other’s company. The boy is accepting them as family tho still wanting to live with foster family. Shen is the pain guru when mediating divorce case. He is undecided about his own choices when considering the loss of the woman he loves. Qin has been waiting in bakery across the street trying to get a glimpse of Shen. Shu has made a date with hubby and it turns into separating ways rather than making another baby. While they are partners and should walk together, career path choices are different. These tend to define where a person sees themselves heading. This is something a partner should support, not dictate. Shu has made it clear that deep down she has been disappointed with the mutton shop and wants him to aim higher. But there has been no discussion other than having things her way. As her current opinion has been made more and more clear, he is ready to live a happy life with his daughter and letting Shu move on with her career. He wants to stay available at whatever hour needed to be there for their traumatized daughter. I can’t fault him for that. This may be the lesson he learned from Tong incident. The child is safer and best cared for when the parent is present and available. I wasn’t expecting them to divorce but if she is unyielding and unhappy with the life her husband now embraces as best for him and daughter, it might be best for them to separate rather than her keep lamenting his choices and chiding him about them. They both need to take a step back and consider how co parenting will workout if they are two households. Will there even be that big of a change for Fei? Shu worries about her safety incessantly, but in the big scheme of things excepting her safety, Shu is not worried about delegating and not being present. Maybe she sees this as her duty as main breadwinner for family. Maybe her push at husband is to have him bring a bigger salary so she can ease up. But if that is the case, she needs to talk not demand and he needs to ask not confront. He is leaving to pick up Fei and Shu is left alone at the restaurant.Qin and Shen are also alone in their thoughts wishing for a better option. No couple is happy this episode.

Collecting evidence

Fortunately the hamster was not killed, but he injured its leg saying bitten by bf to accommodate his story to the college girl. I do believe he was 100% truthful in that it defended itself strongly enough for the Dr to let it live. He has talked the college girl into taking care of it while she’s in hospital. Yan Ling refuses to give up looking for evidence to exonerate her friend. She berates a young cop and I loved her line of not insulting the work of law enforcement but his personally. It succeeded in goading him to do some real investigating. What he ultimately learned is a friend of his had a similar case. This got the chief’s attention albeit reluctantly. Yan Ling has painstakingly made the rounds of tattoo parlor and finally found the place. The tattoo stood for dream walker. The guy that got the same tattoo owns a gaming company that is fighting bankruptcy. Yan Ling questions him but he denies knowing her friend. His wife didn’t believe her either. Yan Ling was trying to point out that somebody was targeting women with money to steal it and leave them. Her ex is helping and the one thing he did find is that their son played a game with godfather and had made good progress. The godfather’s acct was deleted rather than left inactive. This was rather odd. This bf went to great lengths to leave nothing traceable and no photo. They only have an MO in how they target with no face to put to the crime. There is a young scarred woman at the facility Dr Luo visited. She is trying to communicate but is not understood. I have to wonder if the good doc is checking in to see how she’s doing or making sure she can’t say what she knows. He has had his pet transferred to Yan Ling’s son to take care of while he’s gone and is looking into a locker when the episode ends.

Finding out what we didn’t know about friends, children and partners

Yan Ling finds more and more things not stacking up. This bf has nothing attached to him and for as close as he was supposed to be to her friend, there are no photos or personal belongings around that belong to him. Not only does he have things looking like he tried to rescue her friend financially, he has the parents feeling they owe him money their daughter stole from him. It is brazen how he acts like a victim when it’s clear he has caused the collateral financial fallout. But he is like Teflon with nothing sticking to him. 😝 Her friend is also godmother to her son, and the actions they say she is guilty of is completely out of character. She decides not to let her son go to the funeral and this backfires. He completely misunderstands the situation and thinks it a confirmation of his godmother’s bad behavior than protecting him from a sad situation. He acts out rebelliously as a result. The college student had a visit from her bf’s current gf in hospital. The ‘kind’ Dr Luo has it all recorded on his phone to prove it. What was more skillfully hid was the bf’s domineering abusive behavior to the new gf just out of view from the parents they were talking to. It is obvious she is controlled by him if one really notices the signs. Yan Ling now knows her ex has a gf and is surprised her son was already well aware. For him, the loss of his godmother was felt keenly because he was closest to her when he needed support and comforting. Yan Ling works too much and dad is distracted with gf so godmother filled in the gaps. Yan Ling has decided to take the blame for not teaching her student properly so her student won’t be stuck with a plagiarism charge on her record. Dr Luo notices almost every detail around him. He gets a rare hamster that doesn’t trust people. His favorite line is ‘Patience is the key.’ He slowly wins the animal’s trust and at the end it sounded like he killed it.

Collision of facts and fiction

This drama introduces us to how insidiously predators can creep into your life and wreak havoc. This episode introduces us to some of the victims and scenarios. None of these seem to be connected, until they are. A college girl has a total breakdown over losing her boyfriend and chance to graduate. A godmother and best friend has committed suicide for embezzling funds. A ‘kind’ doctor at the hospital is creepily going through WeChat moments of a woman he has just met after one quick swipe of her phone to get payment for a taxi. Facts are not stacking up with the best friend. She has a tattoo, an ambiguous boyfriend and nothing lines up with her character from close friends and family. But because all evidence point that way, it is written off as a suicide case closed. You know she is not guilty but proving it is another matter.

Catching up with the rest of the group

Qin has her interview and is told straight up that while she brings some innovative ideas to the table she needs to up her game in the academics she lacks. She is studying like crazy trying to make up for lost time. She is told to go to an economics council meeting and bring supplies for their colleague. She unfortunately arrives just before taping and is not allowed to greet colleague. There is a sound mishap and she uses that opportunity to get the colleague some notes for the interview. The taping is disrupted by the wife of one at the table and all hell breaks looses. Qin rescues the colleague from a champagne glass shower when the table collapses. Qin literally makes herself a shield. Shu goes home all ready to take hubby to meet for interview. He has already changed it to their mutton shop and that it’s more a catch up session and he’d already turned down the job. They then have an argument. It is not clear if Shu has been embarrassed at the e demotion to eatery cook or is she thinks husband is distressed being out of his job field. It is also not clear if he’s being defensive about starting over in law or mad that his wife is ashamed of his job. They definitely have things to discuss. The bottom line it should be whatever helps Fei through her trauma and not the ego of either parent. We don’t know if he is using Fei to hide out or if Shu’s job makes her to unreliable for all the care Fei needs on any given day. Could they even consider hiring a third party to fill in the gap to give parents a break? Hopefully we will get to see them hammer this out and come to a resolution that makes way for all parties. I still think her hubby very negligent when he dropped off Tong. I can’t excuse him for that no matter how close her house seemed to be. You don’t drop a child off at a dark alley to get home unescorted. But Shu is overstepping when she doesn’t have a chat with hubby first to see what he thinks instead of getting miffed when he doesn’t want to go along with plans concerning his livelihood made without his input. I don’t think she would be cheering if things reversed. Shen is stepping back and weighing the jobs before him. He sees how the law penalizes filial care because it looks at the bottom line more than valuing daily family care. Is a job in high court so much more important than helping the stability of families? Right now he is in the same boat as his friend who is salty about it claiming he should have bf compensation. Shen mocks him but at same time knows his pain. Qin finds herself the designated lawyer for a big divorce case. For once she is not doing all the legwork to get the info she needs. I am thinking the child at the end deciding on which parent to reside with is going to be with this case. The two greedy brothers lost their case to the filial sister. However, they are already plotting an appeal which I find shameful and disgusting. But for now the sis that has gone through so much grief has a respite and they have 15 days to overturn or accept judgment.Qin and Shen miss each other but their careers are dragging them to their respective polar corners.

Star crossed lovers

Qin and Shen decide to be an official couple for as long as their jobs allow. Qin meets her client on site to have autopsy prove how the father died. Unfortunately two employees were chatting about their findings walking down the hall. This was rather unprofessional and totally spooked the client. She now will have nothing to do with cutting up her dad for a house. Qin has one last argument introduced at end of episode. The money for insurance was dad’s not the greedy brothers. Qin shared the couple news with her roomie and Shen did with his mom. They are celebrating because Qin has just been interviewed by a big law firm. They think there will be a nice dating period til the time bomb of high court happens. They have not finished ordering when his friend calls to tell Shen his application was accepted. Roomie is gob smacked along with them because the fun dinner welcoming him into their group has now become a wake where the groups cannot combine. The happy son that left, returned very subdued to fix Gpa’s computer. His mom was all bubbly about meeting her and he had to say they already broke up. His parting quip was btw I’ve been accepted in high court. It’s annoying that these two were forced together, almost got to date, and then their union blocked before a single date completed. I am also grieved with Shu. Their family does need more income, but things are still in flux with Fei’s PTSD and she’s forcing an interview her husband didn’t want. I think he should have been allowed time to acclimate that his name was cleared of wrongdoing before feeling compelled to jump back into legal matters like nothing had happened. After waiting days for this episode … 😝 🙄😝

Dealing with the locals and lack of support from company

Mr Seong finds himself set up to fail by both his boss wanting 1500 plants and the village chief who hates everything associated with his company. The locals have reason to despise the company’s efforts. The village chief has ordered that no one is allowed to help them in any manner. Mr Seong surprises some of them by using his own money to purchase items needed to irrigate the land. He has even ‘borrowed’ cow manure from a local to fertilize the land. His efforts are rewarded with a few cabbage sprouts. The boys have mixed feelings about the school. The youngest is willing to try new things. The middle son is wrapped up pining for a girl who has already moved on and is a lazy spoiled brat. He is a case of underutilized potential. The oldest is still hiding out not telling his parents he’s dropped out of school. He has found his way to the school cafeteria under pretense of looking out for his brothers when he’s really all about working with the pretty local girl. The wife is trying to get an in with the women’s association after turning them down initially. The chief’s wife is all about making it difficult for her because they all hate the company. She has collapsed at the coffee shop with a panic attack and the ladies are at least trying to help her some. I love the hardware store guy. He is so kind by nature, that when Mr Seong used his own money to pay for stuff, he snuck back later to help him fix things and set up the baby plant nursery. His assist has given Mr Seong his few moments of triumph. The middle son has grabbed his and little brother’s passport and plans on heading back to Toronto. The episode ends with the oldest telling dad that the two brothers are missing. I enjoyed the dynamics in this episode. There is reason for mistrust from the locals but the chief’s antics are rather meanspirited. His bosses at the company do not want him to succeed, but we really don’t know why yet. His boss makes diabolical demands with no backing for the exiled employee. The Seong family find themselves all together for the first time in a long while. They are getting reacquainted and adjusting to a very different pace and lifestyle than they are accustomed to. I find myself not so amused with the juvenile faces and actions of the village chief, but I like the little old ladies, the hardware guy, and the youngest son. They are my favorite characters so far. The comedy is a bit over the top for me, but what I appreciate is the underlying efforts and interactions to succeed in a very different environment. The locals testing to see if city people are capable of farming the land and the city people learning to appreciate a simpler life with closer family ties.

Justice is served

Jiang’s takedown was thorough but felt anticlimactic. He was so brutal at home and work that I found myself disappointed that he only had cuffs slapped on and no slap. However, YuCi wanted justice and that was thoroughly dispensed. Jiang is a very cool refined version of LiangLiang. When his current wife came to meet him while police escorted him from the building, she claimed freedom for herself and daughter. He acknowledged it but for him the bridge was already burned. LiangLiang is in the treatment center and PengYu was visiting. She was almost childlike when eating the food he brought. But when he told her to rest easy and that everything was over……she was back in crazy mode making it clear that for her, it would never be over. Members of dept 3, the heart of Lysen, have been placed as the company’s leaders and their new policy is working for the community as well as leading in construction. Market Master has regained consciousness and YuCi will visit weekly as a daughter. YuCi was greeted by mother and father. There is finally a photo with dad smiling but I did note that YuCi was by mom rather than in the middle. What is also noted is that the hatred between them no longer exists. Understanding is allowed between them. Chen Mo was disciplined for working outside the confines of his job. He opted to leave for awhile but he also left YuCi a letter. There is hope that these two will be able to live a good life and allow happiness and love to be part of it. I do wonder on Mr Xu. I would have liked to see his circumstances in a brighter environment. Even the reporter was disciplined for his false article that gained him so much publicity. Everyone that chose to cause deliberate harm was held accountable to the degree they were guilty. YuCi did not return to Lysen because that was never her goal. She has received justice for the wrongs done to her and is now only looking to the future where love can exist. Jiang, who was convinced that miracles could not happen for those who are good, got to bear witness that miracles can indeed happen for those who live their lives with integrity and believe in kindness. I would have loved a hint of what YuCi plans to do next, but am hoping whatever it is, Chen Mo will be by her side working with her.

Date night and housing arrangements

Shu’s colleague offers to watch Fei overnight so the can have a date night. Right when they were finally enjoying themselves Shu answers a work call and date night is ended. Qin sees the injured lady and treats her to a meal. She tries to encourage the woman that Judge Shu won’t let her brothers take advantage. Shu is disappointed her husband is not interested in interview. He didn’t want business trips involved since he was the primary caregiver. The noodle shop gives him flexible hours to be there for Fei whenever needed. This seemed reasonable to me. She is not going to be able to drop a case in court and just leave. I don’t know if she sees that as not wanting another child. Qin foun Mr Casanova preying on another rich lady at the park. She is recording them as evidence. Shen was in the park walking with his family and excuses himself to see what Qin is doing now. He ends up falling for her literally and they pretend they are hiding and intimate while the couple is trying to find Qin. The next day in court she transfers the case to her partner and just gives the video as evidence. Shen found info about the property so offered him what he wanted. But a dog farm by park and sr living with wetlands for ambiance.🤣😂 The guy was backing down but the mom is enamored, so Shen is protecting her as much as he can when she is willing to be duped.

Greedy brothers and a smooth talker 23 yrs younger than his love interest

Gma loaded them up with snacks for the way home. Qin leaves them all for Shen and heads home. She tells her roomie that Shen confessed and she turned it down. There is a conflict of interest with jobs and they both already saw the fallout with Shen’s friends at failed wedding ceremony. Shen’s mom notices all the homemade snacks and asks about them. She is assured they were all farmer’s market items including a bag of candy he would never buy. She isn’t fooled in the least but doesn’t press him. Shen is commiserating with his friend but wants to have a different outcome. His friend did have some new news. Three vacancies are available in the higher criminal court. He thinks the competition will be brutal but that Shen might be good enough to make it through it. This gives Shen something to seriously consider as that is what he originally saw himself doing. One case is a woman who was trying to get her dad to the hospital on her electric bike and had an accident on the way. She ran a red light and her dad died at the scene. It was later determined his death was due to his heart not the accident. She is being drowned in medical and legal fees with her brothers adding on lawsuits of their own. They picked out an insurance policy for their father but expected the sister to pay for premiums. She didn’t get to it and they are wanting the payout an insurance company could provide. They are also wanting 300k lump sum as a wrongful death claim. Judge Shu then informed them the accident wasn’t cause of death. I get frustrated listening to all this garbage they’re spewing with nobody shutting them up. They just let that poor injured woman sit there taking all there verbal abuse and call it a day. 😝 Here I wish Qin would have gone with her. Had she known about the greedy brothers, I would like to think she would have been there defending her. She just did not want the woman indebted even more trying to pay for legal fees she couldn’t afford. The other case has two children upset that a man their age has seduced their mother and after her assets. He is all poetry and love is more important than food for the table etc etc and he is rather obnoxious and the older lady is basking in the attention. His comments about poor people being allowed to have love struck an unexpected chord for Qin. It’s not that she doesn’t want or not believe in love, she just knows there is a practical side to relationships as well. Judge Shu gets a surprise when her friend says she is taking Fei to her home for the day.

The fall of Jiang

At the beginning of episode, Jiang is by his wife’s bedside with little hope left for her treatment. He wanted the doctor to make her death at a date he wanted. With this, I think he believed his wife died. But when he was not concerned with where she was buried or if actually dead, she had every reason to feel deserted and that he was only after her family’s money. PengYu’s mom helped her get into another hospital and found the treatment she needed. Her parents were the founders of Beauty Pearl Society and they were ready to make a concerted effort to avenge their daughter. Mr Yang was the lynchpin for their success. Everything is set up to gather shareholders and investors for their tripartite scam. Jiang is showing how family oriented their company is and the green housing their construction will provide. Ren gives YuCi access behind the scenes and she changes things. Mr Yang’s video of them plotting to steal investors money was made quite plain and in great detail. While they are yelling at him wanting an explanation, his ‘dead’ wife comes on stage in a wheel chair. She enlightens them more about how family oriented he is. The ‘heart’ of Lysen employees show the business transactions of failed companies and an account that goes to his daughter. Mr Yang let Gma Bai know she was on her own dealing with the fallout as he left. Mr Li came with his dismissal papers and signatures of all the board members agreeing for his removal from the company. He is escorted out by the police who have more to discuss with him. Jiang wasn’t expecting his first wife’s resentment. I really think he loved her.But he did not see good people getting a break just because they were good. When he thought she had died, he was willing to make her his first burned bridge. Her memory and family money his first stepping stone. But since she was alive to witness his actions, she plotted revenge on him long before YuCi came on the scene. With him removed, it will be interesting to see how the company reorganizes itself. I am hoping they change it’s name and start something completely new. I have no idea if Gma Bai will try to take YuCi on or not. I am curious how she will be placed with the fallout. She is probably not used to being collateral damage. Tomorrow is last episode and I hope they wrap things up nicely and show us the resolution for all the game pieces.

Reflections

This episode we meet gma. She is hard of hearing and believes flavor for good health is lots of salt. 😂 Shen finds himself welcomed into her home and he can’t refuse. In the next village, the gma and sis of the abducted child are at odds with the entire village by calling them all traffickers. Judge Shen calms them down and has them agree to come back the next morning. That evening Qin and Shen celebrate Gma’s bday with her. Qin makes sure she does the cooking and keeps the salt away from gma.🤣 Shen discovers a child’s drawing on the wall of Qin’s childhood happy family. When he returns to the families fighting over the child, he shows them a video of a young duck that had imprinted on a dog. When he tries a compromise with the boy visiting his biological family for the summer, the arguing continues, as the foster mom and bio sis want no negotiation. Gma, however, agrees. She sees the love her grandson has for the family that raised him. When the other two would not stop arguing and bio sis came at foster mom, the boy charged out to protect his mother. This forced bio sis to see with her own eyes what side he was on. He agreed to visit for the summer because he acknowledged they were all now family. I hope they will become a blended family that will give the boy the best of two worlds. Qin’s Gma gets tipsy after 30yr old wine and they help her to bed. There, she takes both their hands and gives them a Gma’s blessing. Shen sits in the doorway reflecting on his feelings. Qin comes out and they talk. They both reflect on the friend’s failed wedding because neither would give up their career as judge or lawyer. Shen was the one that held the opinion better a little pain now than later when children could be involved. He saw no means for them to have a viable life together without compromising their job requirements, but he also sees his friend pining for the love of his life. Qin recognizes that Shen will become a great judge and move on to a different city. She knows her family is here and she can’t leave her gma. She thanks him for an unexpected wonderful meal and a night to always remember. Here it was the love of family, not romantic love that will make this unforgettable. She recognizes why he feels the way he does and the sacrifices he chooses to make where his life and career are concerned. But for him, this is the first time ever he has wanted the best of both worlds for himself. Shen’s mother has finally seen the judge’s wife, and the judge has recused himself from the other doctor’s case. That is a win/win. I am glad she got the doctor she really wanted. The other two women judges are teasing each other about children. One judge finds herself pregnant unexpectedly and the other hints of trying for a son but falls asleep while husband gets ready. The family dynamics of all of them are changing as they deal with past and present cases with families and their own circumstances. Shen’s trip gave him a better understanding of his friends’ situation and a desire to not repeat their mistakes and still find a way. I think he was a bit surprised that Qin grasped the whole of their situation before he did. While he is still pondering and wants to be there for her, she already recognizes it as an impossible dream and accepts this night as an exception to the rule. For them to have a moment where careers aren’t the issue.

Twins and kidnapped boy found after decade

Qin and Shen did a good job questioning the client. Turns out she was the identical twin of the client and making bargains with the soon to be ex. Qin got the real sister on the phone and the case handled properly. While Shu congratulated Shen a the rewards of good partnering, they overhear Qin getting fired. She works very hard for her efforts to be pro bono. She keeps getting taken advantage of but I also think her penchant for lying gets her into these messes. Shen has figured out how to get her home for Gma’s bday. She hasn’t been home in a very long while. This case is a boy that was abducted and found ten years later. He wants to stay with his foster family, but when he sees his gma and sister, the memories overwhelm him. He runs out of court and the foster family takes him with them. Judge Shen plans to visit and turns out Qin is on the same plane. She offers to be tour guide while he’s there.Fei is now even more reclusive. She hides in a cupboard til she feels safe to come out. It is heartbreaking. I really hope to see her have a positive breakthrough from the PTSD before drama ends. I am glad the judge’s wife is not going to that doctor. His ethics are questionable and Imwould not want one that deals for medical favors as trustworthy to operate.😝 Waiting to see Qin and gma reunion. That has been a very long time coming.

Ally in disguise

I love Market Master. 😘 He had a plant inside. Si Ma Yang 🥳 He did well acting the traitor. I should have caught it since things always turned out in YuCi’s favor in spite of evil intentions. Yu Ci tore her office to shreds and LiangLiang liked strolling over all of it. She reveled in her triumph to wreak havoc again for YuCi and Chen Mo. she had his file and him on the way for her final triumph over her nemesis. When YuCi looked at her with lucid eyes, LiangLiang lost it. She was all kinds of crazy. There was her subdued subordinate recording everything with police on the way rather than waiting to take the fall for her devious act. LiangLiang was never really equipped for a pawn to fight back. She always believed wholeheartedly she was the puppet master. I liked seeing the wife overhear Jiang’s phone call. Hopefully this will inspire her. Jiang accepted the news without a pause. He wasn’t implicated so he can continue as planned. Gma Bai will most likely join him. I wonder if MuRan’s mother still lives there now that there is no heir. Gma protected her label well. The company is thriving. But what good is that if she is the last? I am hoping to see her visit LiangLiang in lockup. I wonder if her fancy lawyers can fight this or if she will tell LiangLiang to admit her fault and not embarrass the family. She felt the ominous vibe with the storm. So who is really experiencing 21 grams of fear? LiangLiang looked like a broken doll in the police car. She was so deliberately vile I found I didn’t really feel anything for her. I think the world is a better place with her locked up. I knew since the first flashback of the kid with the brick that it was most likely his parents that died in the fire. Rao was careless with all his choices. He did not get a professional to handle the repairs, that was a fire waiting to happen. He locked the factory without checking for employees. He deserved all the public outrage he received. I wonder if YuCi knew? She tended to do deep dives on everybody. It was the only way to stay safe. It is also why I feared he might be the one to show up as an additional enemy for her. I am relieved that doesn’t seem to be the case. No matter what, she has to stay distant til Jiang falls. There is no choice in the matter. Market Master warned her that LiangLiang was the least dangerous enemy. I am not sure how invested Gma really is, but it is damned sure Jiang is going to claw upwards til his last breath. It is simply who and what he is. Now we see how willing he is to get his hands dirty when it might be more public. His creed of burning bridges sounds great til you need one. I am still wondering why LiangLiang even brought wanting to know her mother into her diatribe. She determined since age 6 her mother had no use and only put her in one haphazard living arrangement after another. She followed Jiang’s creed of burning all bridges, and then had the temerity to wonder why she wasn’t accepted and her efforts always fell short. She never noticed the crazy flash in her eyes and mannerisms that tainted her efforts and only made her a stepping stone for people of like ilk. She was always only going to be one of the later bridges burned. Jiang is running out of underlings. The circle is smaller now and waiting to see who is next to fall.
