I'm gonna answer my question lol. Apparently external investors were hesitant about funding the project but Esther stepped forward and personally invested in it adding to her role in the drama as a Co-producer. This helped in convincing those external investors to confidently invest in it adding 40%+ to the production budget and upgrading the drama to S+ level drama

I find that there is never truly a good discussion her drama or her acting. It's very black and white. Either they like her or they don't. When they give critique it stems from hate because they don't offer ways for her to improve. When they talk about the drama, it isn't even about the drama but rather who is pretty or ugly, who is better in terms of looks in the drama. I find that only a hand full of people actually watch dramas for the plot and gives constructive opinions about it.

When they complain about her voice, they always frame it as though it is an acting critique, when really it isn't. I remember someone watched Speed and Love and complain about her voice, but I feel like if you really watched the drama and know that it was based on a novel. They would know that MuMu was literally portrayed well by Esther because MuMu was written to be that way. It made me realize those who complain about her voice, it was never about her voice purely, it was that they decided that they hate her.

Honestly with what happened to the A Journey to Glow I thought they already made a deal but when all of a sudden they backed out didn't that meant that they were the one who breached the contract if there was one? Also Esther will probably never work with the production company of that drama, Linmon ent. because of this. It's unfortunate for them they didn't trust her.

There was another work which is like an apocalypse story, it's fine if she can do both works but I want to ride the wind is something more I'm interested in lol.
