I do enjoy watching it. but Is it a low budget drama series? I rarely see people and elaboration like other historical…
It's 20 episodes. Too much time will be wasted if they added lots of characters. Other historical dramas run 60 to 70 episodes. Besides, the director said that it's a comedy.

I agree with your defense. Many judge him because as viewers, we see events from all points of view and can deduce that what he is doing is not right but seeing things from the cousins point of view, he doesn't seem like such a baddie. :)
