I think the replies to this are missing the obvious point. It's not a matter of if she's married or engaged, it's a matter of this character not showing a glimpse of the depth she carries to this person who has taken a fall for her. It's basic human decency to at least try to explain, at the very least try, let it be that the universe doesn't want you explaining and something else happens in that moment, Also, we know she'll end up with him in the end but are we glorifying miscommunication, letting someone suffer three whole years for you and outrightly playing with someone's emotions?
