To me it made me realize that Japan did it better in both of these.
Each country has their style. To me, when I want to watch an "inner monologue/ innocent/cute" BL I look for Japanese. If I'm looking for sexy/action/funny/silly balance that's Thailand. If I'm looking for strong stories that would make me cry that's Taiwan.
Is it just me, or do some of the characters appear to be speaking Mandarin while the others are speaking Thai?
I don't speak Chinese or Thai but after 100s of asian dramas I've watched, it seems like I can recognize them. Right after Shan saved Ob-un, I think Shan and his friend were talking Chinese, all those 'x' sounded Chinese to me.
First, Ryu's mom having a sudden change of heart? Get outta here! Also, the street basketball player Ryu we met…
Ryu had to live on the streets and thanks to Que he found a bed and food but had to live a dangerous life. She saw him playing street basketball and all those times he got hit. All the sudden she watched a school game and loves her son now. Didn't she say she was always watching him? Didn't she watch those street basketball games then?
