Honestly the Daeul situation kind of reminds me of that one trainee who almost debuted in another survival show…
Similar to cai bing in girls planet. Like sunmi focused on her eyes, showing she has charisma, thats literally her eye shape. They gave he such a good score but we realize in the show later on how she wasn't a good dancer, even in the "charismatic" audition. Idk if you are talking about her though. I love what the judge said to Daeul, like you can't keep going off that you have faults otherwise that is what you become.
Things I just wanna say after watching the episode:
If my teammate said he cannot sing or dance or rap (those two young boys), I would straightup ask them what they're doing here. Like if you think you aren't good in any of these, why did you audition? Why do you want to be an idol? (My new ick about kpop is the fact that so many idols/trainees don't enjoy the music, they just want to be an idol, and I'm seeing it more and more. That's why I like Zhanghao so much, refreshing lover of music).
Daeul, that one guy last episode was right. He didn't get voted cause he was talented, its his charm, which I don't see. Him and all this not very talented/skilled people need to stop crying, get it together, and work 10x harder for the talent you lack. - screw the people that vote for people like this. You are dealing with someones future and you wanna vote the cute person that is funny?! Tons of talented people, if only you'd take your eyes of the others for a second and see.
I don't see Jiwoong's talent. Like he is good at dancing, flipping or whatever, but his voice is nothing special. I wish we prioritized vocals more in kpop (vocal > dance > rap). Reminds me of felix.
Also the guy who did the killing part for back door was very charming but he reminded me of jia from girls palnet. Great dancers, strong vibe but lacking in vocals. Back door was the perfect song for him, don't think he'd perform that well in other songs.
Hui did well in his part, seriously so good. The only part that sounded off was the high note (naegaaaa) during "bamhaneureul neowa naegaaaaaaa muldeuryeo ga" Jay's tone fit the song more, only reason I prefer him over hui. Hope jay can debut since Hui is already successful. When he returns to pentagon, he will bring the fame with him.
I wish the trainers did more training instead of just judging, maybe they cut it out, but some trainees are just ass and need loads of help, I hope they can get it.
Na Kamden doesn't have leadership qualities, but Im glad he did it because if he didn't, probably would've been Krystian and he might've been controlling. I don't hate him, I can see he got evil edited, but he is quite selfish. Sounded so depressed getting the part taken away because he could'nt fill the role.
That should be all I have to say lol. Scared for next episode cause it's probably gonna be a 2 hour long elimation ceremony lmao
You do sound like you see him from Mudeok's perspective...lol He irks her so much. I'll try to explain the way…
I know, I realized all this stuff lol I said at the bottom it doesn't bother me because at the time of each of these things he was struggling with stuff. I just thought it was interesting and wanted to make a comment about it because even if it is excused, its the on-and-off behaviour haha
SPOILER KIND OF Okay Im at 12 episodes and Im really enjoying, I just wanted to say Jang Uk's on and off behaviour irks me sometimes lol.
If I can explain... in the beginning complains about having his power cut off or something and once he gets it back he just wants to chill. So all he wanted was just power, didn't want anything to do with it... okay strike one!
Then he complains about not being let into Jinyowon, but once he is in, he wants to rest and go home, he has no complains that they're letting him do this... strike two!
Then when the soul shifter problem with the guy that is dead but not dead happens, he is excluded from the other mages and told to "go home and rest" and he doesn't like that... strike three! You can see the selfishness and immaturity of his character because of the way he grew up not having any of that responsibility that comes with power.
It doesn't completely bother me though because each of these is because he was struggling mentally or physically. He was upset about Mu Deok being mean, or lowkey rejecting his feelings. Its just the hypocrisy of him that makes me giggle. Like sometimes he is against the way they are treating him, other times hes like fine by me.
I like how pushy Mu Deok is with him though, when he is mean to her and tells her he doesn' twant to do it, she tricks him back into working or forcing him. It makes sense though because she needs him more than he needs her, and she even comments on that during their time in that cave house area.
I have just finished 7 episodes, and I really like Jang Uk but I am not opposed to Seo Yul and Go Won (the prince)! Can anyone recommend me a drama that that similar vibe to the love line between Mu Deok and the other two.
Not specific just like for Seo Yul, he has a calm demeanor, he is a little stand-offish and cold but is not opposed to getting to know her (SPOILER : when he almost let her kiss him AHHHHH) With Go Won, he is someone in a high position (rich$$$ lol), and he likes her unique flattery, weird behaviour, and wants to keep her around.
If anyone can recommend any drama with these male leads I would love that! I haven't seen many korean historical dramas so that would be interesting. As much as I like Jang Uk as the male lead, I wish I could see spin-offs with her going with either of the other guys just because I like characters and the relationship they have with Mu Deok. LET ME KNOW :)))
p.s. I am really enjoying, I like the balance of humor and seriousness, reminds me of vincenzo in that sense haha
Man the comments all sound so good except for the plot holes. I wouldn't mind it if the acting is as good as ya'll are saying, but I just finished the first episode and THE PUNCH LMAOOOO. OMG Why his arm fully extended? What kind of lame punch was that?! Everyone was saying his acting is good, I don't really see it. Also lowkey pisses me off how she is asked to be someone else just because she saved her life. Like thank you but you're the reason I'm in this situation. Should I continue or is the acting at the level I saw first episode cause...
I’m upset about episode 2! Why did they give up at 20 minutes? They got back to their base in less than 5 minutes but couldn’t run back and try the same method again? Instead this time try and hold the opposing members down? Everyone but one is inactive?! Why didn’t they try lifting kuina up with their hands to touch the top part of the pole. Why didn’t jaagi come back and try something?!?
I see the message, kind of, the purpose of them giving up. There were also like 3-4 messages from that so honestly don’t know what to take away from it. If someone could explain the message, that’s be helpful. Something like do t be afraid, choose your own fate (?!!!), idk…
Also felt there was not much between arisu and the nicked guy for it to be that emotional.. that’s my rant. Otherwise interesting game. Just thought arisu would be a bit smarter. Not a bad ending to it though.
I got have way and put in on pause, I do like her now lol but I still agree with her doing it for the promotion. But I cannot remember if any answers were given?
Yo someone give me a male lead like hase tenma!!! 3 episodes in and I already like him so much :) I guess I prefer a mature type more lol Love Haruto too though.
I don't know why people hate Lee Kang Jae so much, best character in my opinion! Whats this about people calling him mediocre?! He has a stable character, stays faithful to his girlfriend, they eat out often and listens to what she says (camping date, official photos, silly stuff). He even goes against his faith to try and sleep with her cause she crazy horny for some reason LOL. What is one bad quality of his? He even was super understanding his girlfriend decided to keep the child that ISN'T HIS!! He got scared cause he loves her so much!! It's a harmless lie because she was about to find out the truth anyway!!
Why did she break up with him? I thought she felt guilty about putting him in that position? Don't tell me she fell out of love with him... it did not look like that at all! I genuinely don't know why she broke up with him. Was it just for the sake of breaking up to move the plot forward? Now a few days later she already dating Raphael? I don't know but it just seems kind of mean. LKJ is just a good person, he doesn't even bother her about it and lets her go. He cares about her happiness, whether it is with him or someone else.
I absolutely loved this drama! I loved the business, it was mostly understandable for someone who doesn't have a lot of knowledge in this area. So many things I loved about it.. I don't know how to write reviews but I am jotting down my favorite things about the show:
*ACTING: The actors did a great job portraying the many emotions, especially Tan Song Yun! I also appreciate a show where the men are vulnerable and have crying scenes. All the crying scenes were great, not cringe at all, it felt so real I wanted to cry too lol! * CHARACTERS: The women in this show are all so powerful and diverse in their abilities and positions in life (stay-at-home girlfriend or CEO) * The mature characters, not 22 year olds as CEOS but people in their 30s-60s! Casting was amazing :) * PRODUCTION: Some nice camera-work moments that I don't usually see when I watch c-dramas. *The music is nice, but I didn't really pay attention to OST at all. I liked the music they played during heavy moments though. * THERE IS ROMANCE, but the main focus isn't love but the relationship between the main characters. I loved their dynamic, they were very interesting to watch and I didn't need any fluff for them as they are mature adults. If you do care about romance, just pay attention! Anyone who likes fast, fluffy romance, this is the opposite, slow and mature!! *CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!! * REALISM: We don't see mary sue characters who never fail, but we don't see any quitters! They are always fighting and it is very inspiring. They have ups and downs like normal people. *THE SLIGHT FORESHADOWS: Many shows show a picture of something or make a character do something weird and leave it unexplained, but in this show, each moment has a purpose. I feel fuffiled after watching. I was worried near the end they wouldn't explain this character or something, but they cover most of it.
I really enjoyed this show and wish I can find more Chinese shows with strong, realistic, mature characters, an interesting plot, and of course a lovely romance! The plot is not the same at all but I loved reset, it came out a few months ago and it is also one of my favorite c-drama with a well thought out plot with amazing characters of all ages. I hope people enjoy this show!
I just gotta say, the actor playing the young actor Jae Hyun... really is not a good actor O_O I guess caused he debuted recently, but the scene where him and Yuna are laughing was very awkward.
What is with all this lightsum promotion lol, all that to have her show in episode 5? Nothing else?!? Is the production company affiliated with cube or something? Also I REAALLLYYY didn't like that scene of a 2000 year old man watching this 20 year old girl stretching.... Not the shots from behind O_O
Watched two episodes and I don't see any real problem with the male lead. Just the female lead exaggerating his attitude. He called her out on her fake sympathy, she shouldn't think he's rude about that, he returned her shoe, and he does not want a secretary because he is competent enough to not need one. Why does that make him bad? He is a little cold, has an attitude, but there haven't been many moments where you see that.
Not really a fan of the female lead. She isn't bad, she stays calm most of the time, but doesn't know when to defend herself, actually yell out, or be quiet. One thing I hate is her belief that she is a good person. You're crying when you lose your job because you did your best for him?! No no no no no no no.... you did it so you could be an executive secretary!! Reminds me of in Vincenzo, when Chayoung was part of Wusang firm, doing deeds of a dirty lawyer for money. She is hiding her boss is cheating on his wife, faking sympathy for someone when their child died, you ain't a good person. Don't tell me you did it for his sake, you did it for his and YOUR PROMOTION.
Hopefully it is addressed in this show, the purpose of the secretary. You should answer the question "why do you need to know about me?" Secretaries aren't moms, you don't need to constantly ask about their food, changing their clothes, doing errands for them. She should be relieved he doesn't need someone to do all the ridiculous tasks. I however, would be upset if I was asked to do nothing at my job, that isn't what I got educated for.
I always see it in Asian dramas, main leads meet and have an awkward encounter, and all of a sudden they hate each other? Like they meet again and go "HIM!?!? HER!??!" Like come on... they weren't that rude or annoying for you to scowl at their sight. I know it is for the sake of the story, but come on, it just makes the leads look stupid. Like why are you hating on them, they ain't do nothing wrong,
Anyways, just some things I wanted to mention! I will keep watching, hopefully we can see an epiphany of her realizing what a secretary is and how dumb she was before. However, she is still a better female lead than most!
If my teammate said he cannot sing or dance or rap (those two young boys), I would straightup ask them what they're doing here.
