Watched the first 3 episodes and I'm debating on waiting until it finishes to binge it or follow each episode weekly....... Idk. This drama is surprisingly really good so far, and I say surprisingly because k-dramas have been dropping straight MIDS for about a year now. I like both of the leads, they're both attractive and the acting and chemistry is on point. I really really really love the storyline, it's not super unique but it's different enough to grab my attention and keep it. The background of each character is heavy, but the atmosphere of the overall drama is so light and decently funny without being insensitive or tacky, I don't feel like I'm watching pure trauma you know. Its fun, its fresh. This has potential to be the 2026 comfort drama with a bit of supernatural without being ridiculous (Kinda the same atmosphere/feeling as 'Doom at your Service'). We're only a few episodes in though, you guysđŹ, let's hope they don't ruin it. Time can only tell. Ttyl
This drama had a lot of potential, the storyline was entertaining and the ML was really charming and funny. I like the FML for like the first 16 episodes but then she became extra annoying and contradictory and the ending didn't feel satisfying and complete to me. I really wish both C-dramas and k-dramas actually gave the fans what we want to see and stop writing these annoying, childish female leads. 7/10
That breakup was the most unnecessary breakup in drama history, I was literally questioning the FMLs intelligence. âI wanted to find myself againâ đ€by doing what? What could you possibly need to do to âfind yourselfâ that requires you to break up with your childhood sweetheart?? Iâm so confused. All I know is from now on, when the FML starts talking about âstudying abroadâ or going abroad to do some obscure work that sounds like a waste of time, Iâll stop watching the drama at that point. Other than that weird breakup, I actually liked everything else about the drama.

Thereâs a difference between Pursuing someone who you hope will possibly return your feelings later on and chasing after a man who clearly doesnât want you or maybe he does have feelings but he doesnât care enough to put you at ease and reciprocate.
What a sexist statement..Its romantic if a man goes after a woman he loves but a woman becomes spineless if she…
Itâs not even romantic when a man does it. Imagine a drama where the man keeps going after the girl, after being rejected multiple times, kissing her without consent, always in her business and showing up places sheâs at , berating her cause she has feelings for someone else. Thatâs pretty much what the 2nd MLs usually do in other dramas and everyone collectively hates it.
In my opinion this is the best drama to come out of 2025 and 2026 so far. Itâs a good start to the year and…
A little bit of a spoiler but I also wanted to go a little more in-depth. I was a little iffy about this drama from watching the first episode because I was pretty sure it was going to be a heavy love triangle. I was wrong af and I love that. After being rejected by the SML in the beginning of the drama I loved that the FML had a back bone and some self worth and decided to leave that man alone and move on. It only took a bit of a push for her to see that having your love fully reciprocated is waaaay better and more fulfilling than chasing after a man(I know thats right) a man who allowed his childhood friend to accuse her of things she didnât do and couldnât even return her affection even though he claimed to like her too later on. I liked how open the ML was with his feelings for the FML, even when he thought she was the villain in his life(I like a man who goes for what he wantsđ). It really showed the contrast between the ML and the 2ML and made the choice of the FML very clear. Also the relationship between the MLs was very much both of them giving eachother what they needed without the push and the pull and building a future together. A very cute drama with many lessons to teach about relationship dynamics. Also the ending scenes/Epilogue was so cute!! Their little daughter had me awwwing the entire time. Omg such a perfect HEA!!
In my opinion this is the best drama to come out of 2025 and 2026 so far. Itâs a good start to the year and hopefully similar dramas become the norm, no more love triangles, mid drama breakups, annoying OW tropes, unreasonable FML characters and for Godâs sake no more casting MLs with no chemistry, cold behavior and no real intimacy! Thats something I really liked about this drama in particular, if youâre like me and are tired of watching dramas where thereâs only 1 kiss scene or a few thrown in with dramatic music but no real affection, this drama is for you(us). The chemistry between the MLs was so hot and loud, I had to check to see if they were together IRL(sadly they arenâtđ„Č). Multiple kissing scenes, casual kissing, smooches, pecks, full on makeout sessions, this drama had it all and it was all tied perfectly together with the overall intimacy between the MLs, you can literally feel the affection through the screen like watching a real couples PDA but without the cringe. Oh and I loved how the workplace part of the drama didnât overshadow the Romance, what can I say, im a lover girl, I canât watch a drama that focuses so much on the business part, I work in a office everyday, I donât wanna watch a drama about workingđ€źanywaysâŠâŠ. I really loved this drama from the overall plot to the romance and Iâm going to miss it sooooo much. Yes I can re watch it, but thereâs nothing like discovering a really good drama for the first time(sigh) 10/10âïžs.
The âOpen Endingsâ that are becoming a trend in k-dramas are giving me a headache and making me nauseous.đ itâs not cute itâs lazy!! Other than that itâs give this drama a 8.5. Wonât be going into detail cause my head hurts. Just know itâs good until the end.
My review on this drama is kinda conflicting. Like Iâm literally confused on how to feel now. Happy but also…
Okay so let me start off by saying I love childhood friends to lovers tropes so I was super giddy about this drama and literally waited until the last week to start watching so that I wouldnât have to wait for episodes. I also have a love and appreciation for both the actors who play ML and FL.
I loved how the drama began with her coming home after living abroad for many years and them meeting again was so entertaining to watch. I liked how the ML slowly but surely started to come to terms with his feelings. When they eventually got together I was literally jumping out of my seat cause it was so cuuute!! The switch from friends to lovers dynamics always scratches a certain spot in my brain. Like imagine having the desire to kiss, hug, sleep with , and just show general affection to someone who youâve known since childhood, someone who you were just bantering and bickering with not long before. I canât take the adorable bubbly feeling that gives međ„Žđ„Ž. The chemistry between the FL and ML was so unique that I think some people missed it. It was so sweet and warm and authentic. So innocent but had a hidden level of steam and longing. The side characters really brought the entire drama to life and gave it some realism. I loved the little scenes where the FL absolutely shocked me. For example when the FL tells ML she loves him for the first time after his accident. I was shocked because I thought she was planning to do something unhinged and cause a breakup. The signs were there
The parts I absolutely disliked: The FL ex coming out of the woodwork and nobody but the ML telling him to get tf lost. The FL mother going as far as to try to get them back together wtf. Granted, he wasnât a terrible person but heâs an ex! I could it wait for him to go home. The ML atleast made it clear to his ex that they werenât happening again. FL was wishy washy af, telling her ex off one minute and eating a meal with him the next? Girl⊠The FL completely ignoring the MLâs confession up until she finds that recording, like you e acknowledged to yourself that you also have feelings for the ML but now youâre just going to sit and twiddle your thumbs? The ML being so sweet and patient made me want to jump through the screen and choke-nvm The FL reluctance with the ML at every turn. Took forever to accept his feelings, didnât want to tell their parents for stupid reasons, said a hard no to his first proposal, persuaded the ML to wait a year until marriage and so on. If I was in the FL place I wouldnt have waited even 30 years, we wouldâve been a couple straight outta highschool!!! Married after college!! Why tf would I be looking past a perfectly fine specimen whoâs been by my side since the playground and knows everything about me and accepts it all?? No baby, youâre mine. End of story HEAđ„°
Even though I was happy for the HEA I feel like thereâs something missing. I wish we couldâve seen the house atleast. I also would have liked to see how they navigate having a child with her stomach cancer being a very important factor. A wedding scene would have been nice but imo after a year of waiting f that wedding they couldâve atleast gave us a little sneak of a wedding photo and called it a day. Why tf did we have to see a wedding photo of FL and her ex but not with the ML? Anyways I give this drama a 9/10
My review on this drama is kinda conflicting. Like Iâm literally confused on how to feel now. Happy but also not content? Feeling lackluster but also elated that theres a hea?? Idk!! Deep dive belowâŹïž
The fact that the FLâs mother is infecting her mind with her own bias and prejudice and probably has been brainwashing her to follow strict class lines and never aspire to achieve a better life all her life, is the most frustrating thing about this drama. You can easily tell that everything the FL says about what life would be like as a ambassadorâs wife is all regurgitated bs from her mom. And itâs bizarre that the excuse is that itâll be âhardâ, hard to learn English, hard to learn about different cultures, hard to live in different countries, hard to attend social events. Like wtf? Her mother is keeping her daughter stagnant and complacent and itâs sad af. Sheâs projecting her own life decisions on her daughter. Just because you chose to be a rubber farmerâs wife or whatever doesnât mean your daughter has the take the same course. Then basically forcing her to get engaged to someone she doesnât love or see as a husband was honestly evil af. Iâm really hoping to see the FL lean more into her language and cultural studies and developing a âambassadressâ skill set while still keeping her playful and unserious personality. Every time the mother comes on the screen with that smug smirk basically belittling her daughter in a âlovingâ way I canât wait till the FL unlocks her full potential.
This has the potential to be a very good drama but something I cannot stand about J-Dramas is how the FMLs are always so skittish, avoidant and never answer when asked a simple question. The FML in this drama acts like sheâs being held at g*n point anytime the ML speaks to her and this is supposed to be a woman in her late 20s or early 30s. She barely responds to anything he says period. If I were the ML i would be annoyed and give up after the 3rd time asking her a simple question and getting randomly yelled at or no response. Very childish behavior. ML: âdid you like the flowers I gave you?â FML: shakes violently, avoids eye contact, says âhuhâ even though she clearly heard him and tries to walk away. Me: đ
Wow k dramas really can bring me to tears like no other. This drama has done something I have not personally experienced from any other. Letâs get into it.
First off, love the character dynamic of the Main Leads(MLs) Headstrong business woman with a traumatic past, and a eerie present with a hidden vulnerability( She desires a stable, and reliable protector/ âsalvationâ is what she calls ML).
And a Carefree business man who is also a very powerful demon who sees humans as insignificant soul banks.Until he meets FML of course ;)
Both putting on a front of commitment-phobia by the way.(in the beginning)
~ This is a long review~ proceed if you like to read
[PSA]Iâm only going to speak on what I liked because what I disliked is very trivial now that Iâve finished the series.
*The tattoo and power transfer was unexpected but it made the story more interesting
*I liked that the relationship build up wasnât rushed or slow and it didnât overshadow the storyline, it actually gave it some dimension, kind of like a soft pillow after being punched in the gut:)
*ML pursues first, despite FML being attracted first. He fell harder and He fell in love pretty quick for a demon with commitment issues. It was cute.
*ML was very willing to protect the FML and help her with all the BS going on with her âfamilyâ despite pretending to only care because of the tattoo
Now for the parts that really surprised me;)
In the typical drama, after the MLs becomes an official couple, there usually like 2 intimate scenes and then a random breakup and then something crazy happens, they get back together, kiss and the end. Lame
We rarely get to see a drama where the MLs becomes a actual couple and we as the viewers get to witness the full intimacy of their love.
This drama does that!!! Theres cuddles, 1000s of hugs and kisses(exaggerations but close enough). Thereâs super cute couple moments and funny moments and cute nicknames. It was really like watching a actual couple. Two supermodels as a couple đ. And when I say kiss I mean all kinds, pecks, full on making out, slow kisses ,hard but tender kisses even passionate ones with actual emotion and not stiff at đ±OMG I was fâ*cking dazed !!! Him teasing her?!I was giggling and blushing like heâs was my âhubbyâ.And then the pillow talk and sweet nothings!! Ahhhhhh! And letâs not talk about the fact that the ML lead a horizontal tango right after the first kiss. He was HOOKED! So romantic. When I say watching this felt like peeping into an actual loving married couples life sometimesâŠIâm sweating, and manifesting đđœPlease send me a Gu-won.
The last thing this drama did that I have not seen before is⊠It didnât try to completely change Gu-wonâs baddie characterđ. Let me explain
Gu won is a demon, hear that? DEMON! the devil to be precise. He makes his deals, takes souls and he has done it well for 200 years. And itâs not at all moral. At all. Heâs not a saint and doesnât pretend to be one outside of protecting his wife(Do-hee). He views humans as nothing more than ticking clocks. He can be very ruthless and almost villain like at times. and this stays his stance throughout the entire series. I REALLY liked that because Iâve noticed a theme in dramas where if one of the Main characters isnât a favorable or âgood personâ they do a complete 180 and rebirth them by the end of the series, completely overhauling their original description. We donât always have to have saint like MLs, heâs a demon for the love of..nvm⊠The FML did not run away crying because she saw the MLs ruthless behavior she understood what he was even before they got married; it shook her a bit when she saw those red eyes and him air chocking a woman to death but in the end she was willing to stand by her man for evil or for worse haha, he was actually the coward there. I think she understood that he was crazy af and the LITERAL DEVIL to the world but he was her husband and a cuddly bear protecter WHO WOULD SACRIFICE IT ALL FOR HER(and has), ya know. Itâs literally what she has always desired, Salvation. He can keep his work life separate from his private. thats some deep loyalty fr. So sweet Tehe. Like Iâve literally never watched a drama where the FML just let the ML do his thing without crying and running away. Very different. Some may call it toxic but I call it what we all imagined our unfriendly and ânonchalantâ crush was like.
Now donât misconstrue my point. Gu won had major character development but it didnât turn him from a demon to a rebirthed human or angel. He was still very much a demon at the end, he still reaped souls and made deals, he just became a more mature demon with a tiny bit more of a moral compass and a sense of purpose.
Lastly for anyone who cares, the side character werenât a bore. I was very much entertained with the antics. The villains even had dimension.
This drama also made 16 episodes feel like 30 but in a pleasant way. Some ppl are complaining it was drawn out but we literally got a full on 10 different Acts in a 16 episode series. Thatâs talent. No part was dull and it all connected. anyways
Pursuing someone who you hope will possibly return your feelings later on and chasing after a man who clearly doesnât want you or maybe he does have feelings but he doesnât care enough to put you at ease and reciprocate.
Happily Ever After. Like the fairytale saying.
