I think the issue here is you don’t understand Korean culture. There is a hierarchy and if your lead asks you to talk you usually will acquiesce. It’s about what they discuss and how she presents to him, not that she was talking to him. Also until episode 9/10 ML was not her boyfriend but her situationship. Why would she go with ML to a funeral when she isn’t ready to tell him about her humiliating relationship with Park Kise. Nobody is letting her ex off the hook either but he hasn’t shown remorse whereas ML has, thus the conversation they have in episode 10. Plus, her ex’s SIL ordered the hit on her career. Again you just want to blame the FL for everything but this is classic behavior towards women in general so there is no point in debating this with you.

NP its like this reviewer has it in either for this actress or some other issue cause show hasn’t even ended and he/she is spinning things in such a horrible way 🙄

Looks like this review was updated but again doesn’t tell the whole story. FL isn’t deceitfully meeting her ex behind ML back. She runs into her ex a number of times, each time he asks to talk and each time she chews him out. At one point she is kind to him since his LITERAL FATHER DIED and it was a literal funeral. She was close to his family and especially his father because they were LITERALLY ENGAGED. She also has hinted to ML several times that there is something she is hiding but not ready to talk about and he tells her it’s okay and they agree to talk when she is ready. ML also had the ability to DO THE RIGHT THING back when he was HR and not “do the favor” that ruined FL career. Yes, he should feel guilty. He even says himself that what he did was not right. She received disciplinary action to force her to quit just because she was Park Kise’s rightful GF. Not sure why this reviewer has such a hatred for FL but again unfortunately it seems that this reviewer wants to ruin any potentially interested viewers from watching a show that again LITERALLY HASNT ENDED. 👎🏾

I am not talking about him I’m talking about your taking issue with the FL because of him. You preemptively declared her a mistress when the show was just starting. That’s not right

Just came back to declare that FL wasn’t even aware of the affair and that Park Kise was having the affair all on his own and wasn’t even married yet. I think we should be careful of making these kinds of declarations that can hurt the drama viewership when it is still ongoing and hasn’t even completed. 😕

it has been shown that no she was not a home wrecker and had no idea about his having an affair. He wasn’t even married while they were dating!

Honestly the ridiculous drama around the ML’s hobbies and how both the FL and grandmother treat him about his hobbies/being Black Dragon is so unnecessary. FL being mad when she found out his identity almost made my drop the show. She literally noted he didn’t know but was mad for what? It was a minor event from many years ago. Only watching for the second lead couple and her funny coworkers at this point. 🙄

I’m not quite sure she was even aware he was married. I didn’t catch that she was his mistress while he was married. I believe the timeline was prior to his marriage and divorce.

100% the FL is so toxic and indecisive. The ML is dumb for putting up with this nonsense. So frustrating and just don’t even want to root for their relationship at this point. They both need therapy and to date somebody else. 🙄

Absolutely spot on review of this drama. I don’t think I have ever been so simultaneously angry and disappointed at the same time by a drama quite like this. But SHS did an amazing job as usual and was the one saving grace indeed.

Yi-Jae makes some good points in the ending that I think it’s important to take from to understand that the drama is not stating , “live for others” it’s showing that the immense suffering that one might feel in that moment of taking their life, MAY just be a snapshot in the grand scale of life. While not every single person has the hope of a caring family, like Yi-Jae, the story and lesson was meant for HIM, which is why the emphasis was so heavy on this. Yi-Jae struggled with the idea of failure, not just money. He felt that he had failed at his life and saw his entire life as a failure that needed to end. However as he goes through the lives of many others, that have in some way “failed” by being destined to die, he learns that you can sometimes strive and that sometimes you can find the will to fight even when things look hopeless (like the cruel rules of Death’s Game) . And that is why, Yi-Jae ends by saying “I only realized after dying that life in itself was an opportunity. And the pain that I thought engulfed my whole life was only a small part of it. A clear day, a rainy day, a windy day…I learned that life was made up of these different days…and that it was okay to fail as long as I kept going…”

This just seems bitter and petty to say. A lot of people meet their partners during their work, they are in the same industry so it makes sense. Like my hubby and I both being in healthcare.

Watched the first episode and I’m hooked. Looks like it’s going to be a good one!
