jiling existed. But yuan wuhuo died and devoured by butterfly demon. after losing og yuan wuhuo and another friend who also died of aging. jiling felt so lonely and try to kill himself. in og timeline lu wuyi as that doll prevented that. but since wuyi doesnt exist in this timeline. jiling might have died by suicide then. Smthg inside li jie might have pulled him to shilin sect where og yuan wuhuo was protecting the jiling. but jiling died in this timeline and only exist in another timeline. Li jie has the feeling he is searching for someone, but the one he is searching for is in diff timeline.

I guess this is the happiest ending Edward guo can come up with😅. I donno whether I should feel happy or sad with this ending. Everything happened and nthg happened at the same time. But overall this drama was a great watch

yh, not revealing everything from the start is a good thing for suspense. viewers were criticising other things about direction. but yeah people have diff standards.

No, They don't really breakup, but there are scns where she gets mad at him or tries to distance herself a lil. but that doesn't last long. Not any stupid misunderstandings

I can't believe lin Muran was just 19. He played Sui yuan Qing so well. Both his acting and screen presence were good.

Main leads romance parts are written and directed well. The connection felt natural, neither rushed nor slow. No unnecessary misunderstandings. The FL fights scenes are really good and her character really standed out. Support female characters were also written well and I love how they always supported each other. I find some parts/episodes here and there to be dragging. ( It might just be me, cuz I easily get bored😅). But overall a good watch.

I do enjoy the vibe of Edward guo dramas.Love the cast. I can't wait to watch.

nah. not just u. emotional pay off of their romance was so lil. the script couldn't convey the sincerity in certain places.

I liked that they didn't ruin sml character or tried to make him a villain. yuzhi loved zhao, tried his best respectfully and then when he realized it is not at all working. He moved on. There was nobody that matches his vibe anyway, so he ends up focusing more on his responsibilities😅. Lingbo also had good character development.

Wan peng acting, face and aura suited well in this strong female fighter role.

The cast did fine. The overall story was good. But the delivery could have been better. They added some unnecessary things in certain parts while they just rushed some other parts. I do enjoy dark romance, healthy romance, anti hero, green flag hero and all. But here their romance was a lil off to me even with many romantic moments. The issue is not the chemistry between ML and FL, but I just find their love story line to be all over the place. But regardless of the flaws, this drama kept me interested from the beginning to end. So the entertaining value is there. I also expected good acting from Zhou yiran and he didn't disappoint.
