I’m so glad Allen do modern drama, and he’s so suitable as Guxian, when he’s lonely and estranged we can see it in his sad face and eyes but when he got his spirit back, his smile looks very warm and kind.
And I guess this is his first time using his own voice too so glad no dub, especially he just released his first album.

Nope she’s not talking about THE STORY but ALLEN only. So I guess it felt like paying the actor, then felt cheated because it’s not her style then made conclusion he is hypocrite, mediocre, ‘unprofessional’ actor and should not act based on ‘kissing’ factor!

I think Xingfei is very suitable with her role here, and the way she cried made me want to give her a lot of hug. This is a definitely a slow burned one, Gu Chuan still make a line with her and treat her as mentor, a super caring mentor thou hahaha curious what will trigger him to finally accept their relationship in comin’ episodes.
I like his ex too, that proof what she said, Gu Chuan always choose the right one for him!

Yes rite, actually I will rather care about actor’s works rather than their personal life thou’ unless they make a living from their daily life like the kadarshian or really a very jerk person.
I do hope thou, Allen can survive his marriage and live happily with his little family since he’s so popular now.
And yes, it’s a really shallow meaning for ‘professional’ word if it’s just based on kiss or not to kiss!

I guess we have a different interpretation of ‘romance’ term, in my opinion a romance drama is about love story, make peoples believe they are fall in love for each other. Whether you want to show them even without touching or until they slept together at bed, that did not affect the ‘romance’ term.
Doesn’t do kissin scene for me is like the choice for doesn’t do skinship.
I believe every director knows whether the script suitable for the actor or not, if the story really requires kissing or bed scenes, then he wouldn’t use Allen. Not the other ways around.
But the fact is if Allen still do the romance drama even without kissing part.... yet (we never know what will happen in future rite), that means he can deliver the ‘romance’ term very well even without kissing or skinship. (It was in Under The Power, and a lot of people agree with that I believe).
So I’m sorry I don’t agree with your opinion that he shouldn’t do any romance at all since he doesn’t kiss, if that’s the term than every asia romance drama from the past generation should be deleted as romance drama since there’s no kissing scene at all!

Wow, I’m astonished to see how people judged one actor work just because he doesn’t do kissing part.... yet. I mean Allen is a very good actor with his acting, I’m mainly like Under The Power because of him.

And the most funniest thing is people just put aside the nice story line, the cinematography, the soundtrack and other actors actresses’s works and only focus the ML doesn’t do kissing part which actually a lot of peoples DON’T EVEN MIND a bit as long as the romance looks believeable, and for overall the drama brings a little happiness like this one to our already complicated world!

If you want a lot of kissing simply browsed dramalist tags : steamy kiss and don’t trash a good actor just because he doesn’t do what other actor did!

I myself quite respect him for not just smooch here and there everytime he acts on drama just to make his acting believable! I mean in Under The Power, I’m soooo believed he is Lu Yi that definitely 1000% love Jinxia without need a dozen of kisses like My Little Happiness.

And yes so far, he’s goooddd in Miss Crow and Mr. Lizard, and can’t wait for Monday. Hope till the end everything will be perfect! *fingers crossed*

Wowww Allen Ren so goood!! Xing Fei is quite nice too. 10 episodes and everything looks cute. Some cliches but they executed it so good so far, hope it will keep on better until the end!

There is day when you just want to feel happy watching drama without needs to think too much, shopping king louie exactly gave you those vibe! Just left those critical serious questions behind and sit nicely enjoying seo in guk’s puppy face and yoon sang hyun’s proud act and feel the funny and heartwarming story, it will made your day!

Qin 4 is really epic! Btw, Have watched trop until ep 3, it’s quite slow pace, is it really good? Should I invest to continue watch it?

Naaa, the first 5 eps of Xianxia always make people confused, but L&R has a quick pace. I did not even fast forward a single episode. You should give it a second try.

This is killing me! I have finished ep 18 in 2 days and must wait for months for binge watch. After Love and redemption, I hope the rebel princess will be great until the end. And boy Xiao Qi is so manly!

From episode 1-12 when the mother and her father story is very good, and like others review after that it seems more and more drag with the same bully and the same responses, the story repeated with very slow progress. And after tryin to keep watching until ep 29, I gave up.
However I really want to give credit to yosuke dai xiangyu, I just know that he was yosuke too from the previous 2008 version and boy he doesn’t age at all!! And his chemistry with juxiang is way more superior than chen xi and yue niang, in my opinion.

After brave myself for months to follow the 52 eps of tragedy, I will say GMP is definitely very worth it. The story pace smoothly, all of the actor act very well, ML & FL chemistry really good, the costume venue music all are very good, and of course even we deeply hope a happily ever after, but the ending very suit with the story overall. This drama perfectly describe what we sow will be what we reap.
Embrace yourself and watch it, definitely one of 10 best historical chinese drama!
