Ok but like the boys got too much fake tan and the girls got none. Girls would have a tan back then too -_-
She's from a wealthy family. Wealthy people tend to stay indoor and preferred lighter skin as it shows that they have money, people with dark skin are often associated with being poor and from the countryside.
Just finished this drama it really good, however the sisters actions put me off from time to time and some of the plots weren't really interesting to me, I can overlook those issues. The ending was sweet, In-hye giving her sisters money to repay them for what they done for years over the years and Hyo-rin was able to be happy. There were a few things that were missing from the ending such as what happened Do-il's father after the arrest, what happened to Ma-ri and that Ko lady. I wished In-kyung confronted Mari at the end of the drama would been great,
Random comments: Jang Mari doesn't come off as smart, when In-kyung told her being a scholarship student Wonryeong, she missed the whole entire point of what In-kyung was trying to tell her. What she said In-kyung in episode 11 gave me a bully who gives people a hard time because you hate people being happy and smiley energy. The Ko lady looks reminds me of the tutor from SKY Castle (I watched this drama a few years ago so I don't really remember clearly).
you cannot understand what masterpiece it is!!!I have literally watched it more then 8 times and now rewatching…
I can have an opinion; this was my own experience with the drama. I'm not saying it was bad, it got boring because there was too much going on that I couldn't understand what was going on with the plot
Had high expectation for this drama as everyone said it was great drama even for people that don't like Saeguk would enjoy it but got disappointed with this drama. It was alright at the start of the drama until around ep 8 and 9 I started to lose interest in the drama, the plot became really boring. I think if it was 16 eps instead of 20, it would have been much better.
It used to be quite good until late 2010s. People from Hong Kong generally don't watch TVB dramas as much they…
I'm going add that quality of the acting classes that TVB gives aren't great, recently the newcomers acting are pretty mediocre with their skills, they feel average and none of them seem to stand out well. They aren't as interesting to watch as the older actors that has been part of TVB previous acting classes.
once a power house for Asia .... Hong Kong tv industry has been absolutely decimated by Korean Kramas and Chinese…
It used to be quite good until late 2010s. People from Hong Kong generally don't watch TVB dramas as much they used to do because of the poor quality of the dramas. There's a general dislike of TVB from the people in HK, TVB used to be really good and popular among people until this changed at TVB.
Some factors contributed are that TVB got taken over by people from mainland China and became too pro-government, this limited what could be made and put out to the public. This made the scripts of the dramas pretty bad as they probably won't be approved if it had anything that they didn't like. They were making way too many police and crime dramas being made with similar plot lines/characters, using a similar plot other again in one of the dramas. Generally, a lack of creativity coming from the writers as well as producing something that higher ups in TVB would approve of.
Another thing is the blatant advertising of brands/services in the dramas, it's really annoying when it happens. It used to be that brands weren't allowed to be showed until some law changed then they started to show the brands name but now it's with the actors/actress talking about the brand in the dialogue. This is really off putting for people watching the dramas, you know when it's an ad when you are watching it. This makes the scenes abit unnatural, cutting into the flow of the story just to talk about a product/service. This really bugs me when watching it, it's not like Korean dramas where most of the products are just used by characters or just in the background.
The poor production quality of the dramas e.g., car scenes in HK dramas are being faked and no longer done on locations as they used to do, this is becoming more common in dramas. Occasional dubbing in the drama, instead redoing the whole scene together, you can hear that it's dubbed over. It ruins how the audio sounds and it no longer natural; it makes the audio sound out of place. You can hear the difference in the voice when you are watching it and I really don't like it.
There are occasionally some good ones being put out but most just don't have the appeal to the wider audience, my parents watch TVB dramas just because they are bored and don't have anything else to watch. There are some people outside HK that still watch TVB, mostly in Singapore and Malaysia. In HK there are others drama network apart from TVB like Viu TV, but I haven't watched any of them, so I don't know how they are compared to TVB dramas.
(I don't think c-dramas/films/entertainment shows are good either, there's a lot of propaganda especially in promoting CCP values to their audience or otherwise it will get cancelled by the government. For entertainment shows, I watched a bit of YWY 2 but couldn't cope due too many in your face advertising of the milk drink product. There's a lot of other problematic things in Chinese media, I don't understand the appeal of watching stuff like that)
