I also was not surprised by both their reactions. She has always been emotional from the beginning and she is not good at analyzing situations or reading people. While he has been immersed in these manipulations for years and is ok with people disliking him and passing judgements on him. But I do think he was hurt when she also did that with him even though she knew better- especially since he had been torturing himself for so long

Well you are not getting my point- if she thinks there will not be any unintended casualties in what they are doing then she is stupid. he has never said that he will be this good person that went cause harm to innocent people. This thing is not black or white . So what if he is to blame? There will be plenty more as we get into the story. There’s is never a revenge /war where only bad people die .

She indirectly blamed him for their deaths. And she thought that he does not take human lives seriously . That is the main reason she parted ways.. that is the way I see it . If she parts ways for every lie that is said , then she might as well stay still in that palace or maybe go with the SML . Revenge is not an easy path

No she linked the burns to their deaths and blamed it on MJH saying that they were never important to him along with blaming him for the lie. She was being emotional. She also needs to realize that their enemy is ruthless and that there will be a few ‘pawns’ that will take the fall. This revenge will not be clean

Yes SML is scarier than the CP because the latter is much more simple in being evil but SML has portrayed himself as a harmless simpleton and is doing things behind the scenes . Such people are. Much scarier . Mei Lin would never think anything bad of SML. This alliance is deadly

Mei Lin is still a little naive and impulsive . She became an emotional wreck when those beauties died and just dumped everything on MJH? She did not even think for a second that the SML/CP were manipulating her. Their goal is to separate MJH and Mei Lin. And there will be unintended casualties in this war. She needs to come to terms with that if she wants this revenge

I am on ep 12 and I hate both the CP and the SML. They are both equally creepy and underhanded. It’s not a surprise that these two joined hands

The point is- when you read a novel - do you read the ending first? Just let it be. You need to have the curiosity to watch whole thing to reach the end
