Before she passes away, her thoughts are not to ever meet PWX again. At the banquet her first choice is SRQ. she gives him special treatment and makes sure she rejects PWX. It is only after PWX EXPLAINS to her why the other choices will not work politically does she decide to form an alliance of convenience with him. There is no forever from her side . For her it is very strategic. Even though she realizes that SRQ may have poisoned her she still lets him get close to her. So let’s not jump to conclusions here. Yes there are fleeting moments where it looks like the FL is into the ML. But we cannot be sure yet. PWX is definitely honest about his intentions with her but we can’t be sure about the FL.

Watch ep 6 - to see exactly how comfortable she is with SRQ and how she voluntarily brings him into the case and when she changes her clothes into the Persian outfit with him in the room.. A woman does not do these things with any man. I think she has her foot in both camps right now . I am also rewatching. And trust me I FEEL RRALY BAD FOR PWX because she does take him for granted

I think she hurt him more though . I am not going to say that she alone is the victim here. She refused to talk to him and solve issues . She was angry and promptly shut him out of her life. And it looks like she never put herself in his shoes ever. We cannot always say women are victims. A relationship goes both ways .
Agreed. The environment she was raised in only allows her to see what she wants too. PWX actually says that to her - that she cannot see other people’s pain or th eir true intentions. Even now SRQ is trying to manipulate her a certain way and she has decided PWX is the dangerois one and fails to look at anything else or anyone else beyond that . Even with QZZ she decided on her own that she and PWx should separate without having a a conversation with him. They have created a truly psychologically complex character

My doubt is this though- did she really love PWX? Does she love him now ? To me that is not at all clear yet because they are so busy with all the political intrigue. But I do agree that there is a certain intimacy and camaraderie she shares with PWX that she does not with SRQ . But she still seems fascinated with SRQ. I don’t think she spaced out. From what I see, she is keep g her options open and wants to give SEQ a chance because even PWX has told her that he is a different persons from the one who poisoned her and killed him since he has not gone through his experience with the royal family. I don’t think she feels the pained of her poisoning at all.
It’s obvious that SRQ has a scheming , manipulative personality from the beginning - he only does things if it’s beneficial for him and his family. I honestly don’t know why the FL has no clarity. In fact PWX is more straightforward and transparent even when he is doing something shady.. she seems to want PWX by her side to help her become powerful but she is still longing for SRQ . I am frustrated too. That relationship she has with SRQ. Is far from platonic. And we can see that from PWX’ uneasiness. One thing is clear - she always looked down on PWX’ humble upbringing and probably that is what made PWX become distant from her in the previous life

But then why is she. still saying she wants to divorce him after 2 yrs when she has more power? Her feelings are very contradictory. I still don’t think it is very clear that she sees PWX as a her lover. He is more like a familiar evil for her because of how smart he is and how he can help her achieve what she wants to. He is a means to an end and it helps that they understand ea h other well. In some sort of way she feels she can trust him to be an ally that is it though. In ep 13 I still feel like she has that attraction towards SRQ and she is letting him Get close to her .. so no she is far from having chosen PWX

Love how Luo Yunxi and Ryan Cheng’s characters complement each other ! Xinbai is strategic, methodical and calm while SBL is angry, impulsive and just all over the place. Lol the two just crack me up. The wedding shapeshifting was just hilarious. I love how this drama has evolved!
