Well the key is what the brother told the mom. He is the more mature one there. Without that conversation nothing would get resolved

I would not go that far. They do love each other but the FL has insecurities about being in a fully committed relationship. The ML is the other extreme - he wants a fully committed relationship but loves her too much - so he will go with whatever she wants. Like grandma said in the beginning of ep 16- they need to balance each other out !

No she was totally wrong- she is much more messed up than he is. He is actually fine - just a little lonely and does not want to leave his hometown. But she is toying with him- there is no commitment there. He is definitely way more committed than her but he always feels like she is playing with him . It’s fair that he treats her that way because you can always question how serious she is

Just watching ep 15 and I have to say that mom is way out of line . She has a 30 yr old daughter who has her own life in another city. Completely independent and what is this controlling behavior? I just don’t get it

I did not like the mom’s attitude one bit. Everything she said was so rude and her reasons did not make any sense. But to be fair I was a little annoyed the FL for having an open ended relationship with him. No wonder he is feeling like he is being toyed with. Have not watched 15 and 16 yet- my disclaimer

Also ZJ is the kind of person who goes through life without expectations. I think , she more than CDM, has lost hopes of finding love and her disability has played a role in that and our ML has his own issues with relationships- he does not want to give his all either given what happened in the past. These two need to trust each other and themselves and open up more to move forward

Yes they have the deep history and understanding that is helping them now. But at the same time I feel like the FL is not very confident about being in long term relationships because of her disability. She may have been burnt a few times - so she relies on her career and that is in Shanghai, a big city with opportunities, rather than at her small hometown. She is scared and he still has not given her that security
