No I think it was obvious the Shi Yan too because her mom called her a few times about the blind dates and then he heard from the niece . So it was not just us who realized this and she refused to call him her boyfriend in public till the end. She had the most ambiguous relationship with him while he was all serious about it. Also he was very cautious about how close he got her.

No she just lets other men pursue her while she says she is interested in the ML and aggressively pursued him. But when he reciprocates she is not even honest about her feelings for him and lies to him constantly. And there are other complications like she pursued him for her career and revenge. The FL is a royal mess honestly

The FL is worse though with all the lying. atleast the ML is honest about his feelings towards her- from the beginning. But all we have gotten from the FL is selfishness and lying. So it is not as simple as a communication problem. The FL’s sincerity in this relationship is questionable
