And for the NTH time LX is not a toxic male. Complicated yes - but far from toxic . Gao is more toxic in his relationship. ZY’s parents are toxic with the way they treat her. But the male os not if anything he always thought she would be better off without him. People like to throw that word around without understanding its true meaning. Zhu Yun grows so much during her relationship with Li Xun- that will never happen if the male were toxic. Her confidence and self esteem grew rather than shrinking - that’s not what happens in a toxic relationship. He helped her realize what she likes and who she is rather than diminishing her and that is why he is not tpxic

Kdrama Decoy is very good- a dark crime drama - but excellent.only part 1 is out thought so we are all gaining in there. After a long time I got hooked on to thsi Kdrama.

There are women like that in real life too. She is very strong willed and determined - she loves LX unconditionally - they both do actually and that’s what made the difference. Their relationship was very deep and forged with a lot of trust and they also cherished each other. It’s rare but she felt it was worth it and that’s why she was dedicated - she looked at him very differently from the way others did

Even without that incident there would have been a clash give LX’s personality- I don’t think ZY was the driver - yes she only forced him to join the competition and win against FZY. But the way LX humiliated FZY was his own decision no one asked him to do that. If I get offended by every single opinion then something his wrong with me - but I have posted mine for you. No single person can control anyone that way and LX was not at all a person who vould be controlled like that. The way he dealt with FZY were all his decisions even if he did those for ZY. she did not even know about it till it happened .

Yes ZY did not want any credit from beginning to end - that’s one of her best qualities but she worked hard, learned a lot and excelled. She challenged herself rather than looking to others to give her that validation- completely opposite of Gao

Gao’s bigger goal in life was that LX should acknowledge that Gao is better than him and respect him. That is an insane goal to have . If Gao were normal he would not care about something g like that and he would try to challenge himself more rather than looking at LX for validation. Gao was very obsessive about it such that he sabotaged them, threw tantrums and the. Plotted to kill his sister? I mean he definitely was more evil that FZJ- very twisted. His insecurities and inferiority complex got out of hand. LX did not just take the base by himself that Old Lin approved it . If you want to blame someone I would blame old Lin - that professor was an idiot. He unknowing speed the seeds of conflict and did not care about it. I will never blame LX and ZY for GAO’s failings . The way he hounded LX in the beginning to get his validation was just ridiculous . Yes LX and ZY were a couple and they took care of each other . They always tried to take care of Gao too- but Gao was never satisfied. A question for you is this - is your spouse more important or a friend? Plus I don’t think it was wrong to give that app to save ZY and Gao should have been ok in that urgent situation - but he said that that is the last time he would help- which is a little much given that ZY was always there for him as a friend . So. No pity or sympathy from me for Gao

Also was he the only one who caused ZY’s depression? Her parents played a much bigger role in her being suicidal. Both her mom and dad were horrible- no one questions that. People seem to have embraced that abuse as normal- why is that? Just because they gave birth to her does she need to put up with that kind of control on her life?

I don’t think ZY’s parents treated him very well- he was alone m, had no one by his side and had just lost his sister and he was very young. That is a lot to handle. Her parents were not the nicest people . They were controlling and abusive . Yes I felt bad for ZY because she was caught in between LX and her parents and she could not stand up for herself or him. They would never have let him marry ZY - that is the sad part . ZY also learns a lot from that- so she deals with that situation better in the future. LX could have walked away again but he did not.

And one more thing contrary to what many people think - LX actually cared about the people around him-his family, friends, ZY, Gao -everyone. He was much more human than Gao and FZJ who had no scruples - no boundaries or bottom lines . That is why they were all there to help him - he never spoke about what he did for them but he treated them all well. Gao had no achievements of his own- LX gave him many chances but Gao just wanted all the glory that’s it . I will never feel pity or sympathy and will never empathize with someone like Gao. Very entitled and selfish guy. He was plain insane - why would you care so much that someone was better than him and honestly LX did not owe him anything

Given LX’s background though I am not surprised that he was socially inept. His interactions with ZY really changed him little by little. Yes he was hriible to her in the beginning but as he started liking her he actually treated her with a lot of respect and admiration. He was not perfect but I would take him any day when compared to Gao. He was a real toxic character and his relationship with Xu Lina was scary.

Do not use intelligent analysis here - does not work because it is not a realistic l, logical plot

Life is not a fairy tale- Amen to that. And that is exactly what I like about the relationship portrayed - it requires growth - they both helped each other grow- he came out of his hard shell and he helped her find her true identity and independence. The female is absolutely wonderful so determined, so strong willed - it’s just amazing

Giving up is always the easiest thing to do. But at the same time it is hard to give up someone you have a very deep relationship with - they had formed that kind of relationship- it was not just romance for ZY. What he had given her was her true identity - no one can give up on that

Happy ending - very intense drama though
