When you love someone you have to embrace some of their flaws but she has a vision of someone and something entirely different from who he is and that is from the beginning. He needs to make an effort yes but she also needs to try and understand him more.

Everyone is just blaming the male - yes he is clueless but I think the FL is making mistakes too- she is not honest about exactly what she wants from him. The communication from her is really bad. She also needs to accept some parts of who the male is if she loves him and wants to be with him

The woman is not a doormat - she just gave too much in the beginning because she was very young and had no experience . Now in the present she is more mature . The guy is not that bad either . This is a very realistic mature drama. I like it so much so far

And it also shows that LX being in prison did not matter- he rose up again in the most honest way. And that’s the beauty of it- for an extraordinary person like him with that kind of confidence these setbacks meant nothing. We see people like that around us too

One thing I realized is that Gao had extremely low self esteem. That’s why whenever LX criticized him he thought LX was put to get him. He also thought the whole world was against him when everyone thought that LX was a genius. A more confident person would have been like who cares and just did their own stuff . That is what Zhu Yun did - she calls herself a follower but not true - she rather challenges herself to get better and at the same time walks forward with LX. It’s an absolutely amazing lesson
