On See You at Work Tomorrow! 2 hours ago
I don't get it. Every time in Dramaland if someone is a divorcee, it feel like they are represented as a subhuman that doesn't deserve love (except from someone who is also a divorcee). The worse part ? Most of time they don't even represent what I could see the most problematic thing about this: Children. Suddenly becoming a step-parent isn't easy and clearly need time to think before jumping into this relationship. But a divorcee ? Nah.

Yes FL is insecure about it, it's a her-problem and I think it was quite well portrayed here. She doesn't want her love interest to have a past. It's completely on her and even admit herself. My main issue is how everyone react to him being a divorcee. Like it was this HUGE flaw. Like he was some wanted criminal or have a terminal disease.

It's probably just a culture shock, I just can't relate to this nonissue.

Fine I guess. Was more involved in the Crown Prince character than the MLs tbh. If he had growth it would have been perfect but unfortunately he was the antagonist so it needed to be one dimensional.

So yeah, when he was gone, ngl, the rest felt a bit flat especially since they used an overused "plot twist" for the finale. You know the one where they want viewers to keep wondering if they will make it but everyone know they will but they still drag this for an ungodly amount of time. It doesn't add tension, it just made me yawn.

And where did this 7th prince come from ? Did I miss him in the first episode..? It just felt really convenient & lazy writing.

Anyway, it was still entertaining. 7.5/10

Well, a live drama of this webtoon wasn't on my bucket list tbh. :o

The webtoon is very... like very explicit. Very dark & twisted. So yeah, never expected this. After watching this, I wouldn't say it's bad. I would even said it's well made & quite faithful but all what made "Painter of the Night" stood out & its essence was clearly missing. The tension, the uneasiness & how it made the love story even more beautiful.

Obviously, it was expected. So no surprise here. But again, I'm just surprised as to why they choose to adapt THAT over everything else.

Overall, for a vertical drama, it's one of the good one but as someone who have read the webtoon, it's just an inferior version. 7.5/10

The song was lovely. The rest ? A bit subpar. The editing was occasionally choppy, the subtitle weren't the best but still correct (the misgendering was annoying for example). It's a low-budget project and usually I don't mind and for the most part it was fine but ngl, this "first live stream concert" from what I understood a "very popular singer" was... really cheap. Kindergarten level of production. :P

The romance was OK. Nothing really stood out tbh. If I could resume my feeling for this it would be "It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either". Well, except - again - the song.

I live for this "bromance". I wonder if he will have a "bi"-awakening before it is revealing she is actually a woman. :P

Also, it's me or all those Princes are hopeless romantic ? Except maybe the one that was with the Xi He's half sister they are quite "faithful" to the one they love. Not that are green flags either, as they also doesn't seem to take "no" for an answer but regardless, I still find it odd for a period drama. :D

I don't think it's that deep. Especially since right after that comment, she is shown as highly capable. Also, while clumsy, this scene wasn't about saying "women are less capable" but more about the fact that Female Bodyguard are less common so they didn't expect she was also one - beside being a Personal Assistant. As Bodyguard is a man-dominated industry.

It's like the scene where someone hire a Nanny and a man show up instead. It's just not what you expect to see in a woman-dominated industry.

It's more about stereotype than the usual sexism (even if it's borderline).

A fun watch. It just hit all the spot that I like in a comedy. When I watched this, it strongly remind me of "Me and Thee" that aired not so long ago. A over-the-top & out-of-touch madly in love man over a more down-to-earth & calm character that bring balance to the couple.

The highlight in this drama was clearly Fu's antics but I also really enjoyed Tian's chaos & his "love life".

But not everything was perfect. A lot of storyline in this are unfinished. This drama have 2 side couples (Fu's brothers and their pairing) & like I said, Tian's storyline. Obviously, now I'm aware it's because of the OG work (it have 3 books) but it wasn't the case when I watched this. I rarely watch western TV series because of this reason: more often than not, they get cancelled and in the end, they are unfinished.

Anyway, I can recommend if you want something light. 8/10

If she was truly a couple with the previous prince sure but as far as we know, she never loved him and I would even dare say they never consummate the wedding either. Basically, he was a forced roommate to her because of politic or maybe a friend. :P

She was probably strictly kept in the Prince's harem. Engaged women - especially to royalty - need to avoid any contact with others men except family and the usual eunuch. As for the little brother, I think at that time he wasn't in the capital but at war/at the border defending the realm. He just came back at this time because of the Princess and the Royal Wedding.

And she did know all those Princes, in name at least, as when she entered the Capital she already have full information (her "spreadsheet") about them.

And if you ask me, if she could just walk away and not be married to any princes, she would do just that. Except her marriage was probably an Imperial Edict. She cannot just say "no thanks, k bye!". ^^

And the others literally don't know she was the previous Prince Consort.

Oh god. The scene where he explain his r*pe... And that "Cut!". It hurt me physically. I was like Zhen Xin & Zhang Zhun who were still emotionally in the scene. I literally needed to take a break.

Needless to say, the subject was handle with care. It was raw but full of understanding and compassion. And they even acknowledged some very important topic related to that: How perpetrators can get away because victims cannot voice it because of how society regard them, how victims can feel pleasure even in those horrible events causing them to feel ashamed & guilty and lastly, the risk of STD & how some victims don't dare to get tested/treated ruining even more their life as aftereffect.

I'm still very emotional right now & yeah, I will probably remember this scene for a very long time. It's haunting tbh. This drama was good but now I'm just speechless. Both actors were fantastic.

Does this man really want to battle his little brother for this man, who is the love of his life? Is he serious?…
You mean Wenshu ? I feel he targeted Quigtian all along and just used Quiglang to keep contact with his little brother as he was completely emotionally unavailable because of his comatic boyfriend.

Yeah after checking I swapped them in my mind - don't know why as they aren't that look alike. Anyway, I didn't watch "Princess Royal" but I recall seeing him in "Perfect Match" as one of the MLs.

Kinda fun. Very short. Can be binged easily as it's a very light story. Clearly not a masterpiece and actors did OK even if I would say they played mostly themselves. I don't really have much more to say about this one except maybe watch it if you are really bored and don't have high expectation.

Playing the victim now ? "I guess you're not stupid then. hahaha". If you don't want to be bitten, don't bite first.

And yes, you don't fool anyone with your "But I'm fan of him!" shenanigan. :)

We know, you know, everyone know you just come here to bash on Gun for some reason. You could just have been honest but you decided to take the most "stupid" reason to make your point. If you cannot see how this scene was misleading for him and wasn't as straightforward as 1+1=2, that's on you.

Ngl, when I heard the title I automatically remember "Secret" (The Pierces) - the intro song of "Pretty Little Liars" - but they are completely different. ^^

But apparently all songs in this dramas are generated by AI.
