we all have ptsd from all these kdrama love triangles 😭
Personally for me, the issue isn't that they are red flag. Having a scumbag lurking around can be fun. BUT it's when they drag the love triangle for way too long - like in the end, it's almost the whole plot. "Our Universe" come to my mind when I say this for example.
SML's confession was goodbut ML's non-love confession was better 😂
I don't know. When I heard it it sounded like "I like you when I have nothing else going on". Maybe I'm being too synical but it's exactly what I felt when he said "I love you in all the in between" even when he is "spacing out" - like this "activity" is still more important.
Not a masterpiece but regardless it was entertaining. I would say the ML heavily carried this as others characters didn't really stand out much except the Emperor.
And... Yeah, it's a harem. Just not my cup of tea. Fortunately, the romance is low-key in this so it doesn't hindered anything for me. Well, except the very last minute of the final episode. I cannot. :P
It's "hinted" that they could continue the story in the end (not that this doesn't have a proper ending) probably because the source material is more dense maybe ? I doubt they will but we never know - but I'm not really waiting for it personally. ^^
Dear Maenmueang please... STOP SCREAMING IN MY HEADPHONES!
Thank you for your understanding.
And also, why are you mad at your sister ? She can't marry him because the guy is gay... If you were willing to "sacrifice" your sister for the farm you could have "offered" yourself when you heard the new, no ? :P
( Ngl, him having a secret crush on Sila but because of his internalized homophobia he became this way is canon in my head :D )
What's that hard to understand ? Akki just broke up with his girlfriend, who cheated on him. So he's angry at…
Veha's face, 34-35 ? Oo
He literally is the definition of a baby face. And just saying if you truly have an issue to guess age by appearance - DO NOT DO IT. You will offend peoples one way or another unconsciously. :P
It was actually good until the latest ep got me a little bit confused of all the random moments lmao. The making…
True. xD
- I didn't really understand how the school scene could resolve anything. It could just make thing worse tbh. I mean, making out in front of a bunch of minor at school ground isn't something that I would recommend to be "accepted" from peoples who already stated their homophobia. I guess it turned them into "fujoshi" and that was their "happy ending" ? Quite unrealistic if you ask me. :P
- The whole scene in Zhan Wang's house was just weird! He got stitch up by his lover for some reason - like they were wanted fugitive and didn't have a brother that do have the expertise or crazy talk the hospital where his mum is currently at! - and of course it hurt like hell. But then he have little to no issue to be this physical ? Is the Power of Love this strong ? :D
It's still good and I enjoyed this episode but I laughed to hard on those scenes for the wrong reason. ^^
I wrote the following as a “reply” to a comment that included plot points and other “spoiler” information.…
You aren't wrong but if you don't want to be spoil NEVER read comment when the drama is still airing as during this time most peoples comment the episode they just saw with each others quite freely and yes, most of them contain spoilers. Once it's finished, peoples use more the "spoiler tag" and it's safer (but you should still be cautious).
It's an Ai / greenscreened face swap. A very, very very bad one. You've seen the new actor in other things, I…
Oh... I feel bad for the actor now. Well, he did accept they use his face for... "this" but damn... No wonder it felt uncanny. Tbh, it's not a bad thing that his tech is still this bad because ngl, when they will be able to do it flawlessly a lot of thing will go sour for this industry. :x
Is he... Blind ? I don't think he is but he always seem to "gaze into the void" for some reason. More than that, he seems completely lifeless. I don't know but in every of his scene, I have this uncanny feeling something is completely off... Never saw this actor before - or I don't remember him - but tbh, it's the very first time I would judge someone acting this harsh. He is bad. Like bad BAD. Am I missing something ? Oo
I really misunderstood the relationship between the two marquis's sons apparently. I though they really hated each others. Well, Guard Qin probably hate him but indirectly, as he was jealous of not being truly acknowledged as the Marquis's son.
But when the 'Golden Son' bullied the Guard, I though it was rooted to the fact he was a "bastard" so he enjoyed making him suffer (like in MANY other dramas) but with the recent episode I think he just wanted his attention ? Like a middle schooler that would pull the hair of his crush ? Or maybe he was also "jealous" of him because his father seemed to rely on him for "important matter" while he was ask to stay idle ? Still, the fact he tried to save him despite his father warning was quite a pleasant surprise. :D
Ngl, this drama have fantastic characters writing. Like the newly introduced "former fiancee" of ML. She is shady as hell, I feel it. xD
Is she also on a "solo crusade" ? Because so far, I don't know her true affiliation. I don't think she is truly loyal to the foreign princess. Maybe the "dead" Prince LI ? He is gone and now she appear. And she has apparently also survived the "Eastern Palace" massacre like Prince Li. That's also sus. :P
Pretty good. The romance part is bit lackluster but the scheming was worth it. I'm just a bit sad/confused about…
Did they kill him ? I mean, I guess but he didn't even had a death scene ? He was my favorite of those antagonist. And I really hoped they would explain further his "child" persona or make it even more relevant in his climax. And god, his poor mother who will believe that he alive but never come to see her ever again... It's just sad. Still better to learn that he was probably executed for treason but still... :x
Pretty good. The romance part is bit lackluster but the scheming was worth it. I'm just a bit sad/confused about Deng Yi. Didn't liked how he ended. More in spoiler below.
Well, two of the ML are former contestant of a Gay Dating Show ("His Man") and are fairly active on their social media. The last one is unknown to me but apparently some say he is an (former ?) athlete and I wouldn't be surprise that he does have some follower and activity on his social giving his face card. :)
Still loving it so far. I'm just a bit confused about the dynamic between the two Marquis's sons. I mean the legitimate son seem to be "playing" the fool to hide his true intent but not really ? Like at first, I believed he was mentally impaired and had a child like mind but then he went on torturing peoples quite openly but he "schemed" against his half brother in a lowkey way ? Like he was a threat he need to be cautious about.
I mean, he is clearly treated like the golden child and the guard like an aftertaste. So why he seems like he is "hiding" his sharpness like a ML that need to be lowkey to survive ? I'm really curious about what's the deal with this family! :D
(and I hope the girl will not be toyed by the golden child to hurt his brother :/)
Personally, I was more down to earth as to how Zhan Wang would survive. His brother is in the medical field so…
I didn't say his brother will save him directly but he will probably have contacts in the medical field that could help him - you still need to study medicine to be a dentist. As for his father, this plotline wasn't really exploited yet. They probably will have a conflict but once he will learn that his son is dying ? They could switch up his character. Or not. We don't know.
And for shooting stars, it isn't just a China thing. Nowadays it's quite a common superstition all over the world. That being said, I just don't believe they will go fully on the supernatural plot line of having this "wish" be the sole answer to this crisis. It will be more subtle. Especially since they keep showing us than Xu Yuan's "curse" was only a superstition in everyone heads.
I guess I cracked the code.. I just found out something really which can make us believe that yess, Zhan Wang's…
Personally, I was more down to earth as to how Zhan Wang would survive. His brother is in the medical field so it's easy to pull off the card "I know this amazing surgeon that could save you!" plot line. Also, his family is loaded. Depending on how they will handle the "homophobic" dad plot line maybe they will also use this. He will still have a low probability of surviving so it would still be considered a "miracle" but it wouldn't just be "Oh! it's gone magically because my cute "cursed" BF wished on a shooting star!" kind of plot (even if we will probably nonetheless have this scene - them wishing upon a shooting star).
How is the drama going so far?? Is it worth it?? I mean it's cheng li and bailu i know it would be good but if…
Like the ones above said, it's a all around good drama. Especially the characters that are beautifully written so far. You should 100% try it for yourself when you have the time!

I'm already sending him to hell in my mind that I don't want to know how horrific he was in the novel. xD
