As long as he doesn’t harm our ML he can stay pathetic!
Do you truly believe he will not ? He already look down on him - calling him a cripple. Didn't care at all about him when he was trying to "elope" with FL. Just to be rejected in the most straightforward way possible - she literally said she despise him. And now we learn that he is forced to humiliate himself to survive ? If it's not the premise of a villain in the making, I don't know what it is. :P
I think there's two girls, Qingyu and Qing Shuang? Qing Shuang is the illusion one. It makes me wonder what terrible…
From what I understood, when Late Emperor died and the young current Emperor took place, the Empress Dowager took regency. After that, it's a bit unclear but fearing that her authority would be shaken she "closed the door" of the Lishan academy and banned every official from this "school" from the palace.
What I don't fully grasp is how deeply involved in this she is as she truly seems to believe it was quite pacifist and they are just in some sort of lockdown in their mountain. Like with the death of FL's mother. ML's nemesis who I forget the name seems to be also involved in this (as we saw the fat guy who burned to death enforcing this lockdown in the mountain in a very short flashback). We will see. :o
yes they are "one" and "two" but "ko" isn't a surname, it's a nickname that they happen…
It's not my first Thai drama so I'm aware of that. It's just sometime they use it to make pun so I was wondering if Ko Neung & Ko Song were one of those. ^^

I think it's more what happened in this mountain. This "maid" was the one that accompanied her in the mountain (unlike the other one as she said in the first few episode). She keep talking about her "teachers" and their "disciple", how she "send them letter" but does she actually do it ? Like in the latest episode we saw she just kept them (the father's letter to his son) and we saw she has many of them in there. My guess is that they are all dead and apparently no one is aware of this fact (Empress Dowager, Emperor and ML seems at least) ? I don't know it give me weird vibe.
+ the fact she is literally on a crusade to kill 4 peoples. And the first one was pretty gruesome. This isn't some light resentment here.

Yeah I always confuse nickname and surname because in my native language: "Nickname" = "Surnom" so I always automatically translate it as "Surname" because it seems more "logical" even if I do know "Surname" is actually "Nom de famille" in my language (Literally "Familly's name").
I'm practically sure of my guess because "Neung" & "Song" seem familiar but I want to be sure. "Ko Neung" & "Ko Song" literally mean "Ko One" & "Ko Two", right ? Also, their surname "Ko", does it add another layer to this ? Or not ?
I love the novel. But, I seriously love how the writer arranged things around for the drama. To me, if a show makes…
Didn't read the novel but I agree. Ye Li seems to be such an interesting character. While like you said she appear to be strong, cunning & positive but I feel she is also equally broken as the ML. The first hint is her "maid" and how she talk about all her "teachers". It's a bit of a wild guess but I'm fairly convinced of this: They are all dead. And FL targeted those responsible for this. We already know she has 4 targets (those 4 "straw men") and one was already burned to death. So, they will not have easy death. :o
I don't really get what I'm watching but I'm liking it. Plot ? Script ? Nah. It's basically just two guys that rizz each other no stop publicly for everyone to watch. They really don't fear Social Anxiety, if anything, Social Anxiety fear them. :P
That being said, I don't know if they can do that for 10ep without being a bit boring. I mean I watched the four first episode in one go and I didn't have any issue so far (except one thing) but I don't know if it will be the same near the end.
About the thing that bother me... I never had this issue as far as I remember but why does the English subtitles seem a bit... off on Gagaoolala ? Like I said, usually they are correct. Maybe I'm a bit more sensitive as it's not my native language but is it just me ? What happened ? :o
Yes like some peoples already pointed it out, the initial plot is really similar to "Reset" minus the "go back in time" plot line. ML being betrayed by his lover, become a rookie actor with overwhelming presence, ML's love interest "hiding" in the shadow working something like a sponsor in his career. They also had a similar "fateful encounter" in the past that ML don't seem to remember but completely made their love interest obsess with them. And yeah, the same ugly wig to have the ML having a stunning glow up shortly after. :P
That being said, I loved this plot and while they do have similarity they aren't 100% carbon copy of each other either. So yeah, so far, it's quite good so I'm hyped. :)
I understand that Xiao Xun gave her trust issues, but I thought she'd at least be smart enough not to immediately…
I mean yeah but an innocent person doesn't usually accept the blame immediately either. I really don't get why he didn't say anything about his "brother" schemes. Was he just seeking punishment because of his sudden guilt ? Sure but it's dumb. Well, he never seemed to be the smart one. :P
As for FL not being nearly as smart as the drama keeps insisting. Yes and no. She is smart. But that Deng & Xie guys and even her "ex"-husband are also describe as really smart. In this department, I think they really match each other well. Except our poor ML that will probably make even more "surprised Pikachu face" meme later. :D
Poor Krit... His father need to rot in hell! He doesn't care at all about his son, he just want the perfect image he had in mind. And to get that he literally threaten his loved one. It would be a tragedy, I could perfectly picture Krit ending his life or just not try to protect it as he work in a dangerous field. Well, we already saw some sign of self destruction here (not eating, heavy smoking, sacrificing literally everything to please his father in a completely robotic manner) but I really hope it would not go that far... I really can't handle those. :'(
And his mom, she give me a little bit of hope but she is too passive as of now. He care about reputation ? He need a ugly divorce all over the media! :P
And lastly, maybe it's a stretch, but the "mastermind" behind the human trafficking ? I can perfectly see him being the one. Just because for now, we have literally no clue at who it could be (or is it Ice ? It's the only other characters that could be linked to this case but damn, I don't see that either xD).
I always skip the opening tbh but I love the song (that and the fact that Ryo drink from a obviously empty cup of coffee :P). Do someone know where I can find the full version ? :O
I love this show but something keep bothering me. Does police officer are that loaded in Thailand ? Oo I mean, Krit seems to not care AT ALL about money (saying like buying a Condo or a car to his lover like he is some sugar daddy). Their house - I mean, their family mansion seems huge. As far as we know they don't have "side business" and aren't corrupt (my first assumption in the beginning). I just find it... odd. :P
Is it just family wealth ? Like the mother or it come from their ancestor ? Or it's truly like that in Thailand where their officer are just that loaded ? I doubt that as we already saw drama with this theme and it wasn't the case. ^^
Also, just to understand everything who was the father of the "heir" (the young boy) ? Was it the sick one that died ? Or was it a brother of one of the 3 "uncles" who died early and we never saw him ?
What does she bring to the family ? She whine all day and even scheme against their interest. She is childless as far as I know, she have no knowledge in the Ink Bizness and doesn't even seems to help to manage their asset or the household. Why do they even listen to her ? :P
Yes I know, it's probably pity but it needs to stop at some point!
Sigh I am on the 15th episode too and honestly the way she is clinging is so frustrating. She only speaks grandiose…
She is her cousin. The Li family have 8 branches but only 3 stayed in the Ink Bizness. She is from one that didn't stay and became sailor (probably merchant) if I recall correctly. Also, her father (mother ?) married a foreigner (as she is obviously of mixed-race).
Personally, I don't think she will cause any issue as she just seems to be a supportive character without proper story for herself.
I will be honest I didn't expect them to be together this soon as J-Drama often do the confession scene in the very last episode but I'm very glad they didn't as I'm not a huge fan of that. :D
I really enjoyed this one but the ending was not to my taste personally.
- First of all, the PM. I liked this character at first but they really messed him up in the later part. I mean, he tried to kill his BF because he was butthurt he "stole" his girl. I would have preferred that his actual reason was truly to protect the Crown at all cost. But ideally I didn't want him to turn evil for no reason. And the icing on the cake ? We literally don't know what happened to him in the end. I feel a bit robbed because like I said, I liked him and they just "murdered" his character for the sake of a boring plot twist.
- I'm also not a huge fan of the "Abolishing the Monarchy" plot line. I would have enjoyed more if they were stayed as King & Queen. But I do understand why. They probably want to avoid any political scandal by being labeled as a "Pro Monarchy" drama as I think I heard that they had some issue with it. Take it with a grain of salt as I'm not sure of myself here.
- The reconciliation between father & daughter was a bit too... easy. A lot was not said and should have been addressed but we just had this "emotional scene" where the father implied that his behavior was rooted in protecting her ("I just wanted you to stop fighting everyone") like it would explain all of it.
Overall, it's one of those drama that probably hyped me too much - as the first part was really top tier in my opinion - but just didn't live up to it unfortunately. Not it was bad but still... I expected more. Too many loose end and short cut were taken to closing some plot line. It probably deserved 16 episodes tbh but we got what we got.
Anyway, I still had a very fun time so I cannot baldly rate this one so I will settle with a 8.5/10. I would still recommend it.
Based on the scene, it was her call but he didn't fight it either. Regardless this scene doesn't make much sense…
It was more like an impossible choice. If she saved him, she would also saved her father and in return he would have probably kill them both. Sure, the writer could still use some plot armor to justify them winning this fight but they have something else in store for their story for us as I'm 99% sure this isn't the end of it. Let's wait and see. :O

So yeah, she seems way darker than she appear.
