I’m so attached to all the characters in Payback I feel like they’re part of my irl social group 😆😆😆 but I’m wondering how going in cold to this series would change how I felt about how they’re being portrayed??

Excellent post. The imagery and symbolism in this series is so good. When posts talked about Barth being the devil, tempting Tanrak, I always said they were wrong. They are Adam and Eve. Barth is Eve.

Does anyone else think the ‘master’ had a thing for Joe, but Joe chose the seminary over him?? He seems to recognise what’s happening between Barth and Tanrak and kinda helping Tanrak see that seminary life might not be what’s best for him??

I’m not into teen angst, but this is NOT that. This is masterful. I’m ALL THE WAY adult (sniff - I’m in my 40s). This series has utterly wowed me. Fourth deserves all the awards. I’m not even a GeminiFourth stan (JoongDunk, Minsung 4eva). This is fucking cinema

No chemistry. But the love aspect of the story was crap. There were no initial sparks, no build up

Don’t think it’s because he’s married. I didn’t actually get the whole love part of the story. There was no real build up to it.

I will riot if Fourth doesn’t win loads of awards for this role and not just BL awards.
