The show is starting to feel disjointed. The characters are put in scenes together and stuff happens. There isn't a good build-up to anything so far. We are only 1/4 of the way through but I was hoping we'd see something.
I think the gynecologist and the office woman seem pretty funny and it looks like they're going to carry the first section of the show. Probably a pregnancy scare(?) as other commenters have said and not an actual pregnancy until later to have a baby for the finale.
For the daily soap opera for the housewives, unemployed and retired people it's okay.
Park Ha Na looks good for 39 but I'm not sure she's young enough looking to pull off the character. All of the actors and actresses except the male lead visually look old (late 30s at best) so it's a bit weird seeing them act like people in their 20s when it comes to relationships and stuff.
I still like it though, it kept my interest through the first few episodes and set up where it is going roughly.
I love her, she's probably one of my favorite actresses because she's emotive with her face.
This doesn't sound very exciting for me because the basic story is Once Again re-hashed which of course she starred in. Couple works together in a business/industry (or hospital in Once Again) couple gets a divorce and the tension of the two in the workplace drives the show from start to finish.
I guess out of curiosity is she being cast as the CEO or the designer?
The overall cast is very strong. The show has its moments because of the cast.
That's about all I can say in terms of the good. The story, the setups, the constant..... lets say "flashbacks". It's incredibly flawed and messy as a story.
But yeah everyone on this cast list is super popular in Korea. Kim Soo Hyun is super popular on here so it will get an amazing rating where I just scratch my head like I did with the Flower of Evil rating. Flower of Evil I really like Moon Chae Won. But the story... yeah... more holes than swiss cheese.
I wouldn't mind seeing everyone in this cast back with a story a little more grounded in reality.
The ending to the latest episode was cute like others said. I'm not sure this should have been 120 episodes but I've stuck with it and we're almost there!
For a short drama it's pretty good. Better than most.
I think it suffers from the increasingly restrictive censorship bureau. You can't explore gender, sexuality and fluidity seriously as topics so the show dances around it and gives an abrupt ending. The show makes some clear hints towards subjects but never follows through on them. It would have been interesting how this would have been handled 8-10 years ago when Go Princess Go was airing.
I enjoyed it, I think the writers and director deserve bigger projects because they told a coherent, basic story with the time travel/coma twist.
I like her but I tend to agree with others I'm not sure she has the visuals for a Gumiho type role. The entire legend of the 'fox spirit' in Korea and elsewhere is they transform into beautiful women to seduce men.
Kim Hye Yoon is typically that innocent, bubbly, cute type. Her casting so far has been the girl infatuated with the guy and the guy comes to realize it and like her too (or he always liked her). And that's fine. It worked well in Extraordinary You. I haven't watched it but I'm guessing it worked well in Lovely Runner too.
I guess this will be a "we'll see" show for Kim Hye Yoon. Can she be more of a pursuer who seduces? Or maybe the writing team throws the legend on its head and the she fumbles around like previous dramas but she's so adorable the guy falls for her.
She has done well in romances. She has done well in comedies. If the team behind this project sticks to the traditional seductress gumiho type I'm not sure it will work well.
It's a cool concept but that's about it. The concept is the characters are brought to a city "shared" by North and South Koreans instead of a full opening up and a complete, immediate unification. And like King2Hearts it makes sense some on both sides would oppose it and so the main story is the bad guys want to separate the two Koreas. It's the simple Korean TV show formula - a main plot and a romance to spice and fluff up the main plot/story. And in most cases it works. Here it doesn't work very well IMO.
Why? It seems like somewhere in the production things went horribly wrong. The first 2 episodes it feels like many, many scenes are missing. Episodes 3-12 are better but there are still moments where you go "shouldn't there have been a scene to explain how character A got from situation B to situation C?"
It's hard to know who to blame. Is this on post production and directing? Is this on the writers? What happened? So the writing seems like disaster to me, the directing seems like a disaster. But is that the case or is it how this was cut in post production that is the culprit?
I would say give it a go if you're looking for a bit of mindless "fun" and see if the cuts by the production/directing team aren't enough to cause you to quit it. I think the best comparison I can give this - it's a much worse version of Flower of Evil with the difference being this is North Korea/South Korea military-espionage whereas Flower of Evil was a husband/wife learning about the secrets they keep from each other.

But our resident psycho reporter doesn't want that and is blackmailing him. I forget how much he revealed to her or that she overheard and taped. But we know that it's not just that he knows and confirmed it... but also he was somewhat involved in Woo Ri disappearing.

It's only 5 episodes in and not much has happened. It's a slower pace drama. I'd wait to binge unless you really like the female and/or male leads.
The first 5 episodes feel like an introduction to the characters, their personalities and motivations. The female lead has amnesia but the show does a good job showing her personality of pushing to make her place in a male dominated society (for the sake of her bumbling 'husband').
If I could change one thing about the summary it's that she doesn't mistake the male lead for her husband. He's deceiving her.
So damn long. So predictable as most of the soap operas are. It should probably have the melodrama tag to be honest with how many circles and secrets this show goes through.
I think Oh Ji Eun's character of Bong Yi carries the overall show. I liked the dynamic between her character and her father. She lights up most scenes. Without her I think this would have been a slog.
How much does Su Rong Qing feature? The guy seems to have one facial expression for literally everything. Otherwise the story is okay-ish but felt like it could be shorter at least at episode 13 where I am.

You might want to stick around if all you care about is their romance. The first 2 episodes don't have any romance yet so it will be coming and maybe the romance story will work better than the character introductions, character meetings in the first 2 episodes.
But if you want a coherent story this is probably not the show. I'm going to watch it to see if it improves or if it remains as bad as first 2 episodes.
From the synposis and what we've seen so far. She'll be the noble indignant one, he'll be the goofball that falls for her and breaks down her barriers but this is all speculation because there hasn't really been romance yet.
