Just read the wiki of real king Chung ye he was a fucking rapist nd he even didn't spare his father's concubine…
Well this is a kdrama, it's not real and it's for entertainment purposes only, not for teaching history so of course some things will be changed to fit into the plot.
In most 'historical' shows, dramas and movies, no matter from what country, the real history only serves as an inspiration for the plot and characters and it doesn't mean that the character will have to act the same as in real history ,because first of all, nobody can really know what someone from far history was like and what their personality was, we can only read documents about them written by someone else. Also, a lot actions and events from real history are either too boring, too difficult to fit into the plot and pacing of the drama or to make it into an actual scene of the drama ,or simply don't make any sense and because of all of this the target audience just simply won't watch it and there will be no money. So it makes sense that a lot of things will be changed from real history. because again, the main purpose of a kdrama is entertainment.
How much sexual content is this drama or how much is it talked about?
I haven't watched the entire drama, just a couple of episodes but from my experience with watching all kinds of Asian drama for many years, considering that this is a Korean drama and an older one at that, there shouldn't be any sexual content at all. But if there is, it would probably be just a little bit of skin showing in a comedic way, some embarrassment and some very simple peck kissing but that's it. Kdramas, especially older ones are quite 'shy' when it comes as much as simple kissing.
Oh yeah! It's true for smaller productions. For example last year in Big Dragon, the actors had their first role there if im not wrong, but they did an amazing job and became quite popular.
The main couple's story started good but it got kinda boring pretty fast and now i'm way more invested in Lomfon and Tian's story. And also, it seems like Tian has the most personality here lol.
I don't think anyone can recreate what the untamed did
Well, of course it wouldn't be the same as the original but I would like to see the same story and characters but in a different culture. It would be fun.

Oh that sucks :( I wasn't really expecting much from this one so I'm not really THAT disappointed but it's definitely not among the best bl dramas this year :(

Right...But I'm not ready to give up on this drama yet. I'll stick to the end and see how it ends. I'm really hoping for the pacing in the next episodes to get faster and for the actual romance part to start.
She seems like a shit mom to me because she doesn’t do anything to reassure the kids about it. Regardless of…
Yeah same here. I think children always deserve to know the reason why their parents divorced, regardless of how tough or painful that reason might be, and especially if their children are literally grown up adults, like in this drama. Their parents definitely owe them an explanation, even if the reason is simply them falling out of love.
Regarding the love triangle thing from the trailer and a lot of people here actually shipping Tai with Lomfon, here's my opinion on it:
I don't think it will be much of a love triangle. I've seen plenty of BL dramas doing this exact same thing, with the promise of a love tringle in the trailer but in the actual drama it ends up being something like a misunderstanding or the third guy just being a tool for the relationship development of the two main guys. Also, it is already heavily hinted that Lomfon and the brother will have something going on/will be the second couple so it is very unlikely that Tai will end up with Lomfon.
However, we never know until the end of the drama so let's wait and see what will they do with this one. I'm curious to see if the writers will surprise us.
It's not bad. The main actors are acting well and they do have chemistry but currently the main problem with this one is that it focuses too much on office and job problems and lacks romance, ironically considering that romance is a main genre of the drama. The pacing is too slow and even tho it's episode 5 already and each episode being one hour long, nothing significant really happened so far and i can't really call this one a slow-burn because nothing even is starting to burn, yet alone slowly. The first and the second episode had good pacing but it slowed down severely after episode 2.
I tried so hard to watch this drama since i'm a big fan of historical kdramas but the first episode was just so boring and confusing. I tried watching the first episode like 3 or 4 times but after watching it i was so confused and had no desire to continue watching it :(
