Well, someone thought of it. F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote a short story with a similar theme in 1922 which became the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and the novel Time Traveller's Wife came out it 2003 and the movie in 2009. As to whether either of them could top this drama, that's not for me to say.
