Well its cult based story and how everything that is happening is connected to the cult from the incident that killed many people in 1987 to the incidents that is happening in 1999 to the tape that is used to brainwash people and make them see things to the symbols which i think is the logo of the cult and the place that the female lead and her friends found in her high school days which was the old cult worship place before they changed and moved to another place. So yeah unfortunately the female lead family and friends are connected to this cult like her father and brother. You can see my three comments that i posted in this comment section if you want more. So yeah now the police officer and the female lead will have to find clues that lead them to know the truth about who is doing all this which is the cult.

Well most of my answers to the questions you put is straight up facts to me from what is shown in the first two episodes not even theories so I will share one theory as you requested since this thing I am not fully sure of and it’s the reason of the experiment and what is it. I think the experiment was a trial for a big event that the cult/church will do in the end of 1999 or the start of 2000 since the reason they did this experiment and killed these people is to make them as a sacrifice since I think they believe that the world will end in year 2000 and to stop the world from ending as they believe they want to kill people as sacrifice so that the world wont end or it might be the opposite and they want to kill all people themselves and end the world in year 2000. I put two possible reasons since this is what I am not sure of but most of the other parts of the story is obvious to me.

Everything you asked is obvious to me unfortunately but still i will give episode three and four a chance and if it still is bored and nothing unique i would not continue.

I mean i don't feel their is any mystery anymore since from the first two episodes its 100% confirmed is a cult/certain church thing and that they were doing all this so yeah now just the characters have to find out and that's it but from the viewer side everything is obvious now which is worrying for me because i am getting bored since i mot not surprised about any scene anymore.

Exactly you 100% got it right this then this is so much similar to what happen in real life from the Aum Shinrikyo cult in tokyo

I am sure this is not fantasy/supernatural i think the girl have schizophrenia or something similar she got from brainwashing from this academy which is connect to this church/cult and she is the one that killed her mother so their is no ghost and i think Jo Jung Hyun and Jo Kyung Ho father "Guru" was a member of this church/cult too and now either the church/cult or someone that want to revenge their family that died during the terror attack kidnapped/killed this girl which is daughter of Jo Kyung Ho.

When I read the synopsis before few months it gave me feeling that this will be a episodic drama where every episode is a story of helping a certain survivor which is why I was not interested in this drama but after watching the trailer turn out it’s actually about a serial killer that kills people in the mountain and them trying to figure out who is the killer! and this what i like! a single plot with many mysteries around it so I will put it in my plan to watch and I hope it will be a good drama.

If i had to chose so far a person that is traitor from these four he put their pictures on the wall it would be Kang Pil Ho but lets see its only episode 2 so i am sure their is many plot twists coming and the traitor might be someone other than these four.

And why you think he is not used to it? you never see a muscular guy walk before? i am sure he is comfortable walking like this because of all the muscles.

I don't think they will release confidential cases that happened in the NIS to the public so i am sure its not based on true story.

No for me I don’t think the police guy is that type of person. Specially from his reaction after he saw his brother without the mask.

But it won’t make sense for him to not be dead since how they didn’t caught the villains even after one year?

I will say a unpopular opinion, i am interested in season 2 that much because yeah the villains are doing something wrong but i find the other villains in other survival death games stories are worse and i really want to see the heroes of these other stories revenge against them but not here for example in the anime ( Btooom!) The participants were forced in this death game like they cant even leave it and the reason is because a person can request to this villains company to get rid of any person even if the person is innocent and the company throw these people to random island to do a death game. Even in the manga (Battle Royale) which also have a live action movie the students are forced to kill each other and they cant leave but here in squid game the villains give them the chance to leave and they left and even after that they returned so yeah they are criminal company but i am not that excited to see them get destroyed by the hero and i am not excited for his revenge, Like for me the little brother of Sae Byeok and Sang Woo mother having happy ending is enough for me.

If Sang woo won sae byeok brother wont get the happy ending and he will be a lost child wth no family like she wanted him so i am with you for Sae Byeok but Sang Woo no.
