As you probably know, the main couple (Pete & Kao), received so much popularity from "Kiss the Series" and "Kiss Me Again", that they had their own series made! I suggest watching Kiss Me Again so you understand how Pete & Kao developed, along with Sun & Mork (other main couple) were introduced. Kiss the Series had Pete & Kao as minor characters but showed how their friend group formed.

The story was very dramatic, as you can guess from the title. The plot was interesting enough to invoke a lot of strong emotions, so if you are into BL shows that get your heart pumping, this is for you! I thought the conflicts each couple had were very believable and were not cheesy/cringey, unlike other dramas I have seen. There are a few plot twists that keep the show moving along, which prevented expected resolutions from the conflicts and made the show even more interesting. As dramatic as the show was, it had a good amount of comedy and romance. I personally love BL shows with comic relief and this show had plenty. I found that there could have been more romantic scenes with Pete & Kao/ Sun & Mork, but the show was mostly focused on the conflicts so I understand. Even with these few scenes, they were able to wrap so much raw emotion through acting and music! I was moved by every romantic scene because it all seemed so real. There are also many moments where the couples romantically tease each other, which I found to be a good laugh.

However, I did find a few things annoying. The issue with Pete and Kao's relationship could have been solved way faster if they both had communication. I thought it was really obvious, but the show wouldn't have been longer if they solved it fast. Some scenes were also a bit too dramatic, as I could see through the show trying too hard. Although, this show still delivers and is great to watch!

The actors and the production of the show were amazing as well! Usually, the supporting cast of BL shows are really bland and don't contribute to the show meaningfully. In DBK, the supporting cast showed a lot of emotion and energy, which made them not boring to watch. They really added flavor to the show with their acting. The cinematography and music were very well developed as well. The different styles of music during the romantic, dramatic, fighting, and comedic scenes really treated this show as a movie. Most BL shows I watched just have subpar productions, but DBK stood out by far. The camera angles also provided many different perspectives of the show, so your eyes "don't get bored". Overall, the production of DBK was made really well compared to other shows because it provided a unique view on love.

The #PeteKao couple has been going on for about 3 years, (since Kiss the Series), and they have developed into a couple that is one of my favorites in BL! The show also introduced me to Sun & Mork, which show a different couple with different conflicts. This couple also grabbed the attention of my heart because of their emotions and struggles. All in all, this show was great and was very special! I enjoyed the emotional roller coaster of the show and hope for a season 2!!
