I found it hard to believe that DG never once followed up in contacting JA when she didn’t contact him. He even…
Sher: First paragraph, agreed. I'm guessing that the Sister thwarted any attempts of his to contact her, for whatever reason. Interesting that he or the fryer haven't mentioned the sister once , yet.
2nd paragraph, yeah, the only thing that makes sense to me is that the fryer brainwashed the kids into thinking mom abandoned them and she's a bad person...it's the only way I can understand the oldest daughter putting her out of her mind. I mean, it's her BIRTH MOM. Sheesh. 3rd paragraph - I think he DID recognize her. When he first saw her on the CCTV footage, he exclaimed so. (I'm going to skim thru that again and check).
Agree. Wonder if the rich husband and birth mother were dating by then or this is how they met? If the lazy sister…
To me, they need to address the proximity (or lack thereof) issue ASAP. JA's family should NOT live anywhere near DGs that they could interact casually. Seoul is a BIG city, they could/should easily live in a distant upscale neighborhood befitting her husbands position as CEO.
We only know, at this point, is that her sister lives in the chicken store neighborhood. Having SWs little sister suddenly show up in the area was out of place yesterday. But then, you have to wonder, how did she and ES meet and become friends? So it seems odd to me.
All that aside, I'll keep watching, I really want to see how they reunite the mother with her children, and how emotional that is.
28 was a good episode, but I'm finding that we have to suspend logic a bit with this series so it makes sense: -The kids don't remember their birth mom? - JE doesn't go to the police to report her kids were kidnapped and taken to a foreign country? No manhunt for the father and the 'abducted' kids? - A company upgrades a server and doesn't do a complete backup of the system before decommissioning the old server? Oh well, at least that story arc is done and all the files are back. The cast seems to be more comfortable with each other too. And agreed with everyone else: the useless sister looks like the villianess of the story, at least in assisting her sister to lose her children.

That whole scene was odd: He berates ES about being out too late at night alone, and yet, his sister rides by alone, on her bike. Thats OK? Although he told her only one more lap, why didn't he tell her to put the bike in the back of the SUV and take her home too? It made no sense to me.
It was a good episode, that scene left me asking questions.
There was a cleaning lady on the floor and ES female sombe send her to clean the staff lounge? That was stupid.…
the flashback you're referring to can be found at the 20 minute mark of ep 15. JA walks in on them, holding hands, as if she was intrerrupting a heartfelt conversation. To my eye, GCY does not look pregnant (they were both sitting down on the floor).
They both remarried fairly quickly - I would say your time frame of within a year is probably close - they each…
well, in the scene repeated from last night, she (the wife) told her husband, words to the effect of "why her, you know about my past with Chun Yeong?", so there was a history between the 2 females.
Things should be clearer at this point, I'm not sure why a lot of this is being dribbled out, unless it's really shocking (like the wife and the fryer are related, or something).
I'm really trying to burn the cobwebs out of my brains with this series, so I can understand it better.....
Last night, KBS America aired the episode where the flashback happened (Ep #15) when the FL mom found her husband and the fryer lady together. She was tipped-off by her sister, who asked if he ever came home the previous night, because she saw him @ fryer's house that night. For those who are paying better attention than I, did that scene occur in the Philippines? I know at some point they/he was living and last seen there by her.
I'm trying to piece together a timeline to keep my sanity: 1. She finds them together in the morning, after they were presumably together for the night 2. She asks for divorce shortly afterward 3. She gets divorce (presumably quickly as well), takes a pic of kids and tells him she'll come for the kids once she gets on her feet 4. He marries fryer, while his kids are still very young, (presumably shortly post-divorce) and leaves the Philippines and heads back to S. Korea without notifying ex-wife.
I'm guessing 1-4 happen within a 12-month period? At some point afterwards, they conceive ES, who I GUESS is born in S Korea?
FWIW, it's very unusual for KBS America to be so far behind the domestic feed.
Ep 24 was insightful - we see SW is already falling for ES. He was a bit hurt that she wanted to forget everything…
Now that they've finally started to flesh out the characters, she (JA sister) still stands as an enigma. I wouldn't be surprised that they leave her like that, just a superficial character designed to cause trouble. Because, who/why/how she lives is still a mystery to me. Otherwise, we've had 2 really good eps in a row (23, 24) this week, and it feels like the show is now on a roll (but, how many times did we say that in AOME?). Fingers crossed....
Loelha and I have come to the conclusion that the young man working at the Cheong Film company is either the theater…
I thought that was the one of the best scenes in the show so far, with the two of them playing "hot potato" with JS, and her sister (FL mom) watching with bemusement.
Not a good sign when we're only 21 episodes in and I'm already getting bored. It's not that it's bad it just feels…
I keep getting the feeling that I missed something....like the show is an inside joke that I'm not privy to. It should be funnier/more interesting than it is for me at this point.
I'm more confused than anything else. While AOME was the 'champion of going round in circles' I feel like we are…
I'm getting the funny feeling, like we had on TRHC, that there are more than one writer here and they are not talking to each other, which explains the inconsistencies.
The dragging of this show is already frustrating as hell. 🙄I expected for that to happen at least when it gets…
I'm more confused than anything else. While AOME was the 'champion of going round in circles' I feel like we are VERY slowly peeling off the layers of an onion to see what is really going on. If they do one more 'chance-meeting' between the 2 exes with out them realizing it, though, I'm going to get really disappointed.... two of those scenes is enough. I realize we still have 100 episodes to go, but really, no more of this.
Among the things that has me confused lately is that both of the 'kids' seem to have no recollection of their birth mother??? In the flashback they seemed to be 5 years old when she left? Yet they don't remember going to the dumpling place with their birth mom? Is this realistic? And the chicken fryer didn't remember the name of her husband's ex? That was inconsistent with a previous episode, wasn't it?
I'm on vacation now so I'm a bit distracted, but I think they need to make things a bit clearer on the backstory at this point.
One little tidbit that I found funny is that in the scene at the cafe where the detective brother (sorry, I am still having trouble associating names and faces) gives the shoes to the producer woman, is that the background music was one of the songs from the 3BS soundtrack.
