Yup it’s as I feared when I first saw the gl. Now we got a montage instead of full bonding scenes to make room…
You are so right about that shirt thing! It’s disappointing that it seems a lot of essential character interaction and development is being overlooked or dropped to make room for other plot lines and drama that doesn’t fit the characters. Like are we really introducing a creepy suit this far in to set up conflict with Soo An and Hyunjae? Instead of scenes that eases Soo An 180 turn with Hyunjae?

7.7? Is it bad????
It’s good but it’s flaws are showing in episodes 11 and 12. I’m hoping it’s just a bump in the pacing and it’ll pull through towards the end but there’s a lot of unnecessary threads being set up…

Title Love Class Season 3 Spoiler
I have a few problems now:1. It is a minor point but I miss the actual Love Class.2. Khun is becoming annoying.…
I agree. It was so good at first then these last two episodes happened…

The pacing is obviously suffering from the lack of focus and too many ingredients being added to the plot. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of what’s been introduced just ends up unresolved.

I also dislike how we are getting montages instead of actual character interactions and development. Makes many of the characters “progression” seemingly coming out of nowhere like with Soo An and then Khun’s constant whiplashing with Jaemin. I wished they kept with the enemies to lovers storyline with Soo An and expanded on Khun’s social anxiety to explain his hot and cold personality.

Also, I can’t believe Soo An would be okay with Hyunjae using publicity to force them to interact and go on a “date” even after it’s revealed he was faking the filming. It’s just comes off as wanting to have some cute couple scenes without the reasonable consequences for it. I mean it could have lead to conflict and drama that actually matters to their characters and the relationship. Instead we have the typical “obstacles in their relationship” story to look forward to.

I honestly lost my excitement for this series and I’m just here for the amazing acting from the main leads. Hopefully it ends strong!

Exactly... the NC scene was good, but how did we get there?? Their emotional resolution was a speed run. If I…
I think it’s because they are following the same mistake of too many couples as with the previous seasons. The pacing was good but once I saw the hinting of the GL I knew the main couple’s story would be impacted. Not only does the first couple feel rushed but the second also. I mean we got a montage of them bonding instead of real scenes just to make room for the GL meet cute again. Heck even another commenter pointed out how the characters aren’t interacting anymore like the best friend didn’t notice the matching shirts? It was so promising and I’m holding out hope but it’s gonna be so disappointing if it’s more of the same awkward pacing

I agree with your statement to Thai bl and Chinese bl but Japanese nc centric series are another level. They are…
Same. NC focused CBL is too problematic for me and Thai BL usually lacks in the writing. I definitely need to catch up on Fake Fact Lips and Naughty Fukami.

Overall a great series.

The acting from the main couple was superb and their chemistry was outstanding. OST is also a highlight. Unfortunately it suffers from a lack of focus towards the middle. It pulls through at the end once the story gets back on track to the main couple and the jinx/illness plot. I gotta say the writing was excellent when it came to the main premise but was lacking in the unnecessary town gang drama, the side side couple, and honestly the secondary couple.

Sad because when it came to Xu Yuan’s jinx and Zhang Wang’s illness it was compelling. Especially that scene in the hospital when Zhang Wang expresses his fears of treatment and wanting Xu Yuan to remember him as he is now. Or that final scene of Zhang Wang in his own way disproving Xu Yuan’s jinx. I wished we had more scenes like these to build the relationship. The series shines when it comes to scenes like this with the main couple and it’s bittersweet to watch it end on showing it’s potential.

Also, they could’ve filled the run time with the dad’s backstory. Show us more of his struggles so it doesn’t feel like a convenient afterthought. It would’ve been a more interesting and connected plot line than what we got.

9/10 for Zhang Wang and Xu Yuan. Hope to see more from these guys!

Yup it’s as I feared when I first saw the gl. Now we got a montage instead of full bonding scenes to make room for the gl couple. Why can’t Love Class just stick to two couples? It’s my main issue with the previous seasons

Introducing a third couple so late into the season is certainly a choice. I hope it doesn’t take away from the main couples… like the previous seasons did… it totally is, isn’t? It already seems like we are missing key scenes with Khun. I guess we’ll see if they can pull it off this time.

But it was not unrequited HE JUST THOUGHT IT WAS 💀
I agree. It’s an almost perfect misunderstanding story for me if it wasn’t for that last bump. I don’t know if it was in the WEBTOON but I would have preferred them getting together and showing some of their relationship together. I remember being disappointed they showed more of the third guy than the boyfriends in the last episode. Only to end with a What If scene of the confession going better.

it literally has a "unhealthy mains' relationship" tag. if you don't like toxic stuff like that then just…
Funny, because you’re the one telling me a toxic show has toxic characters, as if I didn’t already know. Pot calling the kettle black, no?

You made a snarky, dismissive reply first, then act surprised when I answer in kind.

All I did was criticize the characters and the writing. I’m not asking for the show to be sanitized, nor was I lecturing anyone until you decided to turn it into a personal jab.

And no, the subject matter doesn’t make every scene beyond criticism. Anybody with basic media literacy understands that depicting something toxic doesn’t make it immune from discussion.

ZX is right, tho. ZZ shouldnt drink that much if he cant handle it. :D This reads as if ZX isnt allowed to have…
Obviously Zhang Xin can be confused and frustrated but there’s a point where you have to realize you can’t just take advantage of people no matter how you feel. He isn’t a “wild animal” that can’t control himself from SA a drunk co worker. He heard it from Zhun himself that he doesn’t remember. A reasonable person would’ve taken responsibility to clear the air instead of being a creep.

I know this is part of the story and I can only hope Zhang Xin faces some consequences for his actions but this is based off a Chinese BL novel… it’s more likely to be romanticized like how you just did.

Sorry but you comment “reads” as condoning irresponsible behavior and if you didn’t know getting drunk makes you impaired.

It doesn’t matter if he’s a “kiddo” or not.

Personally, I don’t enjoy watching blatant SA or at the very least misconduct. I’ll call it out whenever and wherever I see degenerate behavior or comments like this.

Well that was… something. IDK how to feel about Zhen Xin taking advantage of Zhang Zhun. Nah that was a terrible thing to do and then to ignore Zhun because he doesn’t remember being assaulted? Atleast it was nice to see Zhen Xin suffer a bit from jealousy towards the end. Only to just take advantage of Zhun again… Man if the acting wasn’t so good I would drop because of those scene. That epilogue too… what a creep. Hopefully Zheng Xin gets a long and brutal redemption arc because his character lost me this episode. Zhun continues to be a great character and way too good for Zheng Xin. I hope they just don’t blow over the questionable things Zheng Xin has done.

Glad you mentioned the quality of the acting. I am always a bit hesitant to jump into any series if someone describes…
I’ve seen some behind the scenes clips and it’s interesting how they are opposite in real life. Ollie looked so nervous when they first met.

Felt nostalgic so I started rewatching the first BLs I’ve seen in years. Forgot how good they were especially how cute of a story this one was. Back when character development and non toxic relationships took priority over NC crap.

Oh yeah I know what you mean. Fortunately the main leads acting is pretty good and not only during the intimate scenes. They play really well into their character archetypes. I just hope the story has the same quality.

I don’t know what is worse, amazing acting but terrible story or terrible acting with an amazing story.

Not a fan of “intimate” porno heavy series but man the acting is amazing! The internal conflict and confusion in Zhang Zhun while the passion and growing fondness from Zhen Xin pops off the screen from these two. Could do without the whole girlfriends/cheating plot but it gives more weight to Zhang Zhun’s internal conflict although I have a feeling Zhen Xin is not at all attached to his girlfriend. Can’t wait for more but I do hope it doesn’t fall into the trap of toxic Chinese bl novels that romanticize abuse or SA. Anyone who read the novel care to give me a heads up?
