In my opinion, It is very good drama ..i am not bias toward the ML actor because many of his previous drama that I can't finished hehe..but thia one ia soo good.. And I like the FL characters..she is cheerful yet strong and decisive

And for that final scene, it is more open ended than anything so people can either take it as HE (he somehow escaped the fire since they didn't really find his body, somehow cured of the poison, and waited at their home for the past years for Jiang Ci to come back since he believed in her freedom to travel and explore).
It can also be BE, but a beautiful one. He promised her he did watch over her in Yue Luo, and his spirit lived on and will be watching over her and their child forever.
Only gutsy directors do this. Directors who are not afraid of criticisms on why they take novels with SE/OE. You know they aren’t here to please the audience with what they wanted to see at the end but rather they took these novels as a crowning glory on how they’ll execute every single element from the novel. This is a well written and directed series.

I was checking Lai Kuan Lin's profile (well he retired from acting but he is a director) and his entire biography was deleted, along with the dramas he has done (and he didn't do anything) and his photograph too and this one who is a criminal, who is in jail for 12 years, they have not removed his profile.
