After watching the ending , I am wondering if I changed dramas mid way , what happened , its like in last 4 eps we watched a whole seperate drama , the duke who is supposed to be so powerful is confined in his own home , the brother is killed , the duchess suddenly went mad and what not , the leads still didnt marry like wow , it would have been better to leave the drama when they were going to get married thats the ending , cause even ep 36 ending is same

I guess my nicknaming of characters not just SMLs has become popular on here lol. If it makes you feel any better, I fast forward the second couple. As for giving him a nickname, the only thing I call him when I chat with my friend in DM’s is nasty asswipe so you can use that for now. If I come up with anything else before it ends next week, I will let you know.
SML needs to be to stop being nasty ML especially since he really doesn’t know the truth and by just lying to FL about him or his behavior in general trying to provoke him, won’t do him any good.

I'm loving this dynamic. Usually, you have the aloof, cold ML and outgoing puppy-like FL, but in this one, the roles are reversed. It's refreshing, and I'm here for it! I love RSB, she's calculating, smart, and is usually 5 steps ahead. Considering the fate of the family rests on her shoulders, her cunning and calculating nature is warranted.
Just my two cents on the show at ep 26 so far, and everyone's been talking about the 'unbalanced' romance. I think after the disrupted wedding, their relationship got back to square 1. We're seeing ML pursuing the FL again like in the first few eps with Lu Fusheng but now it's happening again with LJL which some find tiresome. While I also wanted to see more progress in their relationship (and yes more affection FL), I did like how they're working together to solve the issues and cases while still doing some flirting in between. Cmon the dungeon scene?? Even jundai had to look away from the shameless looks between them🤭
And even if I'm not as hyped as before, I'm still hooked enough to be excited for the next eps. I still find the story intriguing and unpredictable enough (even if I've seen many teasers of upcoming eps). I also saw a teaser where FL shows some affection 👀 I hope we see that today and it's the start of more romance to counterbalance all the scheming and the intrigues.
I refuse to believe the grandma is this badly written. How could she have run the entire Rong houshold/company if she was such a bad judge of character? Then, I suddenly remembered how she said before that Shanbao is too kind. So, now I have a theory--or wishful thinking ahaha: What if this is actually a test for Shanbao (and maybe also our Lu Da Ren), to see how she/they'll deal with a true snake within?
