I agree with everyone about this show. I thought the dance during the credits was cute with the 2nd ML and FL dancing and him getting jealous and pushing Yu Zhang Ya away from her. sometimes a subtle thing or two can make you smile. Also, after finishing it in it's entirety I think a lot of kissing would change the tone of it and it wouldn't be the same.
I really enjoyed this drama as it is light-hearted, cute, and funny. Please don't watch this drama and have any expectations of a traditional historical drama or expect the king and queen to act proper. It's not serious. It's silly and over the top, and if you like that, then this drama is for you.
I usually don't comment on dramas, even though I've been watching them for 6 years but I felt like I had to comment on this one. I've watched every genre of C-dramas that are possible but the hardest for me to get into was historical ones. But for some reason, I really love this one. A lot of people were complaining about the slow pace of the plot but I actually love it. In my opinion, knowing the background of the Famale lead helps to understand her better. I love that we get to concentrate on her feelings, to feel her pain, to empathize with her. I feel like it's very important to show her family life because it will be easier for us, as viewers, to understand her later decisions or standpoint on certain things. I love that she isn't your typical damsel in distress and is actually street smart, the harsh treatment of her family and her resilience makes her even more likeable and relatable. My heart aches for her because of the way her mom is treating her. She deserves so much love because she suffered so much since childhood... Usually, I get annoyed when I have to wait longer for romance to start but actually I don't mind it here in this drama. I saw a bit of criticism for Male lead but I actually think that his character was portrayed well. I believe that he will start showing more emotions after interacting with the Female lead. Since he is so closed off and she seems the opposite, I think they will be a great match and will have a nice relationship dynamic. I think that it's nice to have a variety of different characters with their own unique personas. Can't wait for all the new episodes to come, I'm loving it so far. You are free to disagree with me though :)
Ok todays episodes were just 🤦🏻♀️. Father and son are essentially cut from the same cloth; they keep making a mess and refuse to take responsibility. I'm just waiting for the day, they both finally get their comeuppance.
He's a supporting character, a lawyer at the firm that Sister Xingyun works at. So far, he is supportive of Xingyun and Xingfu's family. He becomes the Wang's lawyer, to help with Wang-Wan wars. XD
It's understandable such highly anticipated drama to get so much contradictive comments but I think they are all positive even the comments that seems hateful ,,, because it's about the first four episode ,,, people can't judge historical drama by it's first half not just first few episodes ,,, there are so many dramas that has the second half of it's episodes are much better than the first and also the story takes it's time to develop properly either it's a miss or a hit after at least twenty episodes so I didn't like the first four but I liked the female lead and male lead and I'm waiting for them to make their own story first then I would say if it's good drama or not

It’s nice that you reveal your opinions but the writer kept to the original of the novel. Which as a novel reader and I actually like this drama. First off family mistreating their own kind is actually common even in modern day times. Wu lei character is perfect fine as his role in the novel is supposed to cold hearted. If you prefer the writer to deviate from the original plot then I suggest you don’t watch this adaptation. Because it’ll be as similar as possible to the novel.
